Lotus Exige Ronin ...Spunky Canyon

Hey ronin. I love the exige mate. I'm going to be picking my Elise up in about 2 weeks from Atlanta. I love my exige to pieces lol! But I'm going k20 in my Elise and supercharged k20/k24 in my exige ( as of right now anyways). I pretty interested in compound charging the Elise when I get it, but I don't quite understand if it's the supercharger pulling the turbo or not. I've read a little about it but not much and I would appreciate it if you could explain it to me when you can.

The only Toyota box that can handle the torque is the MR2Turbo E153... The tall gearing is perfect for the compound charger setup..

What have you done with the transmission? As I've heard stock 2zz tranny's can't hold that much power.

@jiggsaw25 You are right..... I use the E153 gearbox found in the 1995 Toyota MR2 Turbo...

@roninexige But why? Why use a gearbox from a MR2, own a MR2 myself and can se why it would be better then Lotus own box? :O

@JWennen The standard gearbox is from a Toyota Celica and can't take the added torque.... The E153 had taller stronger gears designed for torque...

@roninexige nice very nice I read your feature in modified mag amazing car man I ran the limited edition lotus that was super charger with 240hp on the expressway it was very surprising the guy took me for a ride it was sick I can only imagine how crazy fast yours feels and pulls good luck with the build I'm wanting to do something different with my s2000 I'm gonna talk to my tuner and see about doing a compound setup seems like a bullet broof system

@roninexige Hey man I have a 2007 Lotus Exige S, I'm saving up for a new motor and also plan to do a twincharged setup. Out of curiousity what kind of tires do you have on that? If I get on the car now with just the supercharger you can break the tires loose, so I can imagine when I really up the power it will be even worse. I've seen a few of your videos and the car really holds the ground well. Let me know, thanks.

Is this compound charged? Or is it before when u were just running the celica supercharger

@Sasuke1Avenger That was with the compound charger setup...... The engine is now being stroked to 2 ltr.  It will have an increase in SC boost from 10-14 psi. along with a larger Precision Billet turbo......going from 550rwhp to ?????
