  • i was at this gig amazing floyd put the icicng on a wonderfull day with a a fantastic line up

  • super groupe

  • Super Knebworth 90, je regardais avec mes frangins quand j'avais 15 ans.

  • Rogers wrote the libretto, and composed it together with wright and gilmour.

  • One person does not like it. Roger Waters, maybe?

  • Candy Dulfer on Sax...cool.

  • quello che ha postato il non mi piace deve essere un gran rincoglionito

  • oh btw...which ones pink XD

  • This was fantastic, yeah it rained but it didnt prevent us all having a great day

  • @sheelaght1001 And ,dear god, it did rain didn't it!

  • @tuesdayjoe It sure did but god was it worth it!

  • I watched Knebworth 1990 on MTV back when it was broadcast and recorded the whole concert on VHS. Just yesterday I dubbed all of the Pink Floyd songs, along with "I Think I Love You Too Much" featuring Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton, and Elton John singing "Sacrifice' to DVD. The Pink Floyd set at the end of the concert, in the driving rain, was among the greatest rock concerts ever performed.

  • yesterday i bought The dark side if the moon...My dad is jealous...

  • I'm going to a concert with Roger Waters in April..I can't wait!;)

  • @queenlover90

    really? which town?

  • @oplodljivi Oslo!

  • @queenlover90

    really? where?

  • Man, gotta love Candy Dulfer on sax in this. Of course, it's hard to compare David Gilmour's guitar playing to anyone else, he's in a class by himself.

  • Clare Torry on backing vocals!!

  • ...why these stupid bloody adverts?

  • @ARDUNNO money

so they say. is the root of all evil today

  • sax player is a douche bag... uses an alot sax when theres supposed to be a bari and a tenor... what are you retarded!???!

  • Dear tenordude14...it's Candy Dulfer.....not just anybody....

    It's a different version...although I agree It's not Dick Parry....

    Regards!

  • in which part of england was knebworth?

  • Hertfordshire. Just off the A1

  • great solo on keyboard rick!

  • This was just before it started pissing with rain again. The lasers looked stunning during Comfortably Numb.

  • Thank so much for posting.

I'm wondering if the lady at 6:33 is CLare Tory. According to Wiki, SHe was there as a backing vocal too.

If that's so, it's a real pleasure to see the lady who gave us such an orgasmic singing in the track "The Great Gig in the Sky"

  • Yes ,she was there and she also sang The Great Gig in the Sky that day, its on varous bootlegs, But i haven't seen the video,

  • Love the Floyd saw un in 72 at the Lyric theater in B-more they were like a acid cult band, they turned loose it seems like hundreds of live doves at that show, then saw them in the 90s an arena show, it was still perfection, had a huge blk dude beside me, he was a groupie, lol for real, we shared his hash pipe all night, 72 was some serious owsley acid, but the 90s show was so cool. Floyd is a spiritual experience live, and also some good uh shag music.

  • I am going to see Candy tonight! She is promoting her new album... Will be great!

  • Candy Dulfer? Wow. Saxuality.... was that it? She was amazing at Knebworth. Gorgeous too if I remember!

  • cool show man i wish to be there

  • Oh my ... What a band, what a song, what ... well everything.

Best concert iv ever seen (Paris 1994 for me)

  • The sax player is Candy Dulfer, an excellent funk-jazz-pop musician, from a musicians' family.

  • you forgot to mention HOT!!!!

    haha

  • The only problem with this recording is that it doesn't show how many people were there...

  • Comment removed

  • An amazing number of people. Remember the "Mexican Wave" going from side to side across the arena? It would disappear into the bottom and reappear up the other side. What a trip that was, and all those plastic bottles being lobbed around at the front? My CD has CD rot.... won't even play any more. Thankfully I have a great memory. This day was amazing.

  • I was also there. Floyd were the final act of the Silver Clef Award Winner's Concert. I remember it raining and the lasers bouncing off the raindrops. I also have good memories of Wings performing Hey Jude and getting 200,000 people singing in tune and Live Or Let Die. The whole day was awsome although it was spoiled by Cliff Richard making an appearance.

Oleta Adams made her debut alongside Tears For Fears. I've got this concert on VHS but trying to find it on DVD.

  • Rick showing his musician skills and technical ability in this vid

  • Its interesting. Although i am a massive PF fan, I can imagine that I know nothing of their appearance. From that point of perception-upon looking at the 3 main guys, they look exactly how i think they should look based on the music they create.

  • This is magic

  • So proud that i was there..

  • Astonishing Rick. No one there will ever exist who can make a keyboard solo like this.

We will miss him so much

  • If I would have to guess, I would've say that David Gilmour nailed the shit out of that saxophonist at the end of the show... And I can't blame him... I can't blame her either... With the DIVINE AND FRICKEN GODISH way David Gilmour treated the guitar that night, I would probably cum at the beginning of the first solo...

  • she looks like she could work it too haha

  • magic

  • David Gilmor's guitar,Candy Dulfer's sax and Sam Brown on the vocals, how more magical can it be. I can still remember the live radio-broadcasting of the show and then the TV. Unforgetable those years were. With all the Gods of music gathering together!!! Although a Dire Straits fan, I can sort from the show Robert Plants apearence, Eric Clapton with a superband, Mcartney with "Hey Jude" and of course Pink Floyd.

  • THAT.., was a long, wet, windy day! when the mighty floyd had finished 'run like hell', it rained ,and rained hard! cunningly i had parked in stevenage to avoid traffic conjestion but the mile or two walk back in the monsoon meant i'd never been so wet fully clothed! i cant remember being so pleased to see my bed which wasnt til 6 the following morning! i had been awake for a good 24 hrs... great, great line up, unforgetable day for many reasons.

  • one of the best 24 hours of my life!

the fact that it rained at the start and the end never spoilt on moment.

and even i was dancing to cliff, just like everyone else!

  • is that Candy Dulfer on saxophone?

  • yes she is

  • where was dick perry around these times?

    i think thats his name..

  • I have no idea. I know why they did Knebworth a year after their World Tour ended though. Because a certain Mr Waters had already done The Wall live in Berlin!

  • R.I.P Richard Wright

  • with a video of those we see how it will lack...

  • Man I saw this live in its entirely back when MTV was MTV and had integrity and not cut into commercial breaks in the middle of songs

  • I watched this from the Lyton Arms Pub

I gave up on the concert by then

too muddy too cold too many brits

GREAT ALE right from the cellar barrel

lordy what a time.. 16 yr old wearing Grandads army eisenhower field jacket

can you say AMERICAN? i knew you could

i slept through the ride out of Knebworth

    thank god for jet lag

  • Boo! No one can beat Dick Parry!

  • I agree with all of the previous comments 100% Happy Birthday David, may Pink Floyd live forever in our history and our hearts, Thank you for posting this CRYSTAL CLEAR Video, and Don't ever forget... The future has many journeys for all of us.

  • the sax sounds the best from all versions that ive heard (pulse, venice)
