  • Mmm, salted placenta.

  • time to rinse, just a suggestion :)

  • בונאה זה מגעיל

  • I want to have a lotus birth. I was just wondering, what did you put on the placenta and how much salt? Do you salt it everyday? and how do you take care of it? How long did it take to fall off?

  • I heard that babies were very quiet and content while it was attached, and then got nosier after, was it like that for you two?

    Beautiful baby :)

  • our son was a very buddah like baby..he is still really chill....ill be posting more videos very soon, as we are pregnant again... thank you<3

  • WTF @!!!!!!

  • @isaifamily Yeah, I'm kind of wondering the same thing. What is the actual purpose for not cutting the child free from the placenta? I can see the benefits of not cutting the child free until the cord stops pulsating but that's only minutes as opposed to days carrying around a rotting placenta. I don't mean to be rude, I would just like someone to explain why some ppl are choosing this and calling it "Lotus Birth"...???

  • @kastnmagic I'l tell you why bro (HIPIS)

  • @kastnmagic Hi, the placenta does stop pulsating at about 15-30minutes after its birth but blood and nutrients continue to enter the babies system for well over 5hrs later. Reasons: it allows parents to ''slow down'...enjoy their baby a bit more, is thought to create calmer children because they let go of the cord themselves, its less likely to get infected as their is no wound like from one that is cut (almost all babies will have their cord infected mostly minor but still.

  • Really inspiring. Thanks for posting this. I'm just a bit sorry for the video quality. Anyway you two must be great parents...BTW how long has it taken for the cord to detach?

  • Wonderful.. i bet it smells great w/ all the lavender. WTG.. i think lotus births are awesome! ♥

  • how inspiring~

  • I'm so happy that you have this information on here, thank you!

  • Yes. That is absolutely correct; lotus birth creates alien babies without belly buttons! That's right, no belly button at all, just flat where it should be!!

    LOL

  • thank you for posting this, is amasing!

let me ask you a question: how the baby belly button will be like? because there will be diferent right?

  • I used to think the belly button depended on the 'knot' used by the doctor... THIS IS FALSE!!!

the cord will die off and leave a clean wound behind no matter what prep it has had (i.e. cut short or still attached) - the belly button, or navel, is all up to the individual.

  • so lotus childs actually have a "normal" belly button?

  • please define normal??

Somewhere between, never ending lint collecting abyss, flattie and pokey outey, yes, all normal, yes, all bellybuttons!

No different to you or I.

  • defining normal:

    adjective

1 conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected

it is in your dictionary my friend

  • Exactly!!

  • Awesome to share! I'm expecting a home water birth, and lotus birth, within the next few weeks, and it's nice to see increasing awareness. The placenta is an amazing organ!

  • Wow, that is to me such a wonderful gift for your child. I am looking more into having a lotus birth when it is my time to have a baby. Do you recommend any books, videos? Thank you for posting.

  • Thank you for putting your lotus birth on You Tube. It is so nice to see families who are taking advantage of their choices to gently birth and nurture their babies. This is definitely something that my DH and I will be doing when it is our time to have children. I think that it is very sweet and makes gentler, happier babies.

  • It's wonderful to see videos that I can share with families who are contemplating Lotus Birth. Thanks so much for sharing! :)

  • Hey you guys! My first appearance on youtube! You have to post Angelo's birth now...

    Love, Sarah
