gene didnt play bass on the solo album, you can tell here because he didnt do the same as the guy who played it on the record. the other guy smoked his ass on bass, this version of the bass is weak
I always thought Ace sounded bored singing the background vocal on this song. I've had this entire recording for years; there's some great stuff on this. I love the arguing between Peter and Paul, and Paul nagging Ace because he's so slow getting ready to play the next song. Funny stuff!
I think Radioactive was one of the better songs on the solo albums. Paul did a pretty decent job too with the backing vocals in this rehearsal. I never got to see a Kiss show in the early days of Kiss. I was just a little too young in the 70's. And, by the time the
80's rolled around, Kiss kind of lost it's appeal to me, (after Dynasty) & I could have cared less to see them in concert without Ace & Peter. I did go to see them when they had the reunion show. That was a dream come true.
Same here! Didn't really know or "find out about" Kiss 'til 1979. Yes, in the 80's, "to some extent," Kiss became (just) "another rock band." Yes, I'll NEVER FORGET the reunion tour, as well as the so-called "Farewell" (?) tour.
I saw KISS for the first time in June 1979 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. Whiteface opened. They played this, along with their other solo hits. The highlight was Gene flying to the top of the stage for God of Thunder. There was an Ace impostor walking around on the floor. A boy who was 12 at the time replied to me that he came up from the Charleston area for this. He said he remembered the smell of pot in the air (what a shock...LOL).
I saw this show in Hartfort, $10.00 june 25th 1979 4th row, I have seen Kiss 25 times and YOU GET Your Money worth no matter what the price is,The first time I saw them was in 1973, Hotter than Hell tour. You Want The Best You Got The best, still my fav tour was Love Gun 1977 I payed $15.00 for the Floor seats, I dont care if thay are $100.00 I will be there!
