Going through this stuff on youtube makes me remember (even though I have most Weddoes albums) just how prolific they were/are. It's one thing to churn out albums, it's quite another to do it to a consistently high standard. Thank fuck they were never 'discovered'.

jefftube99, I'm afraid it was elvis - he had 13 one year. It was a brave attempt by the wedding present, but they were misinformed from the start.

So which band had the most ever top 30 singles in a single year? Elvis, Beatles or The Rolling Stones? Or was it The Wedding Present?

Wedding Present - 12 [1992]
Stones - round 4 or 5 [1964, 1965] (surprise me)
Beatles - 13 [1964]
Elvis - 8 or something [1957]
The answer is The Beatles, but Wedding Present is close, though The Beatles had far higher chart positions (lots of 1's).
