  • this sounds like the M.Bison beat from street fighter

  • pure genius

  • @smthaxter You mean 5 minute work to copy paste an intro of another song?

  • @Yentulam well to each is own, I wish you could open your mind and I believe you could be a fan

  • @smthaxter Dude, don't misunderstand me. I really love the tune and this kind of music, and I like to be open minded. I am a musician. But this track is like wtf, why do you copy a tune and sell it like it is your own creating. So MF Doom isn't the genius behind thís tune.

  • gonna just put this on my favorite list!

...just checked that one right the F%$# off! lol

  • why are people complaining that he didnt change the beat? It Was a Good Day is just a sped up version of Footsteps in the Dark, no actual sample, just a speed change.

  • uhuh its hypnotic the beat is fresh not rotted people lookin lyke my face is contorted distorted thoughts in my head feel lyke walkin with tha livin dead look to quick at me sidewayz mite lose ur head 2 bad ur already dead rock steady to the beat dont let it rock u u mite bump into the speakers n piss off a jew whose monies bein lost cuz of u!!!!!!

  • read what I'm about to say/ match the rythym and let your mind play/ doesn't matter to me if you find my ryhmes lame/ cause not to try causes me greater shame/ not all bad lyrics originate from the brain/ some come from the bum of a nun who never has fun cause shes so busy worshiping the sun time goes by in the fade of a flow/ its direction very difficult to know/ but if you listen with the 3rd ear it definitely shows/ stand tall and speak your mind/ someday you'll be pro
  • @yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaa Actually, I think all bad lyrics DO come from the brain (lets all this case #1) and the only lyric that ever came from the bun of a nun sounded something like, *phfft*.

  • @pdog3k Nah-uh! sometimes it goes, "Wheres bitches??Role CALL BITCHES!!. Fuck a fish dick Jesus." and then the nun has to apologize for her sins.

  • dayuum, I like MF Doom and all, but he straight jacked this beat

  • Boz Scaggs= The Man.

  • villain

  • Boz deserves credit, fo sho.

But cant we just enjoy both songs?

  • @evendiamond it wasn't my place to say what you love, however.have you ever looked at some of the samples for madlib, he straight up just loops and jacks it and puts his name on it.sure madlib will use multiple samples sometimes and i know the bozz scaggs song, bozz scaggs is a genius. however looping is simple enough to make a beat, so i guess what i am saying is, i don't understand your post, so many tracks are looped. i dont know what to tell you, isnt the track just to rap on and listen to?

  • the lowdown

  • is money folder the song off madvillian ablum on the boxset plz tell me the name i need it bad

  • @KKASPERDISCIPLE I think it probs isn't...Madlib did all the beats on that album as far as i know, DOOM did the raps.

  • I like sampling. I make beats. I love sampling actually. But this is just straight a copy of Boz Scaggs' song Lowdown. They didn't make it into a different beat or anything... I don't understand this track...

  • @svendiamond this is fuckin true...im gonna make antoher flip of the sample with real choppin....i think doom is nice prod., but he just copies all of those samples...

  • @svendiamond yeah you don't love sampling, you don't understand, LOOPING is a big part of sampling. Yes Boz Scaggs' deserves recognition because it is his song, but the purpose of the track is to take a part you like and extrapolate to infinity.

  • @TheQwerty92x what? "you don't love sampling, you don't understand" -- did you even read my post? "i like sampling. i make beats. i love sampling actually." -- i know that looping can take a part of an old song that wasn't really highlighted, and highlight it. that's not what this song did... they just straight copied Boz Scaggs and have it playing a bit faster... it's not like he added drums or piano or something... its just Boz Scaggs' song... go listen to the Boz Scaggs song!!!

  • @svendiamond, you are no MF DOOM, sir. How many records are you selling? And you got people talking about your videos all over youtube?

  • @mlagueux when did I say I was better than MF DOOM what are you talking about??

  • there is some stuff added too, if you listen closely, and/or are familiar enough with the original track.

  • @svendiamond Personally this track is so dope that if they changed anything about it (other than it being instrumental) then it would lose it's integrity.. I love it

  • @svendiamond don't hate son, is the beat ill or not? credit should go where it's due, but I think it's hard to deny that this beat is perfect for rapping to, or just vibing with

  • @svendiamond whooooa thats wild true. i checked out box scaggs shit and its fucking identical. damn...

  • Nice one.

  • "low down" by Boz Skaggs.

  • smooth

  • This my favourite instrumental of all time.

  • not too many ppl used this beat. two so far: mf doom and royal flush i mean besides whoever originally did the beat, of course.

  • @sotocapo King Britt Presents Sylk 130 use this beat on their track 'The Reason'. Smooth as hell, definitely a track worth listening to.

  • this is a boz scaggs sample..great sample

  • U must read Anna Rivas Books too I see! lol

  • umm..this is off umm...royal flush's first album. the song is called tonight's the night...i think that is the name of the song but this is definitely the beat he used.

  • The song is niggas night out and dammn you got a good ear I never noticed that.

  • @4ziATiC u must not have grown up with black parents if you dont recognize the song this was sample from.

  • Man you're good... I wish I was like you. Sometimes I hear a sample and I know I've heard it before but I never know what song it's derived from.
