  • im doing this for choir

  • what the fuck.. no.. fucking white people..

  • You guys are in an elevator!

  • @honeydear8 Haha, yes! It was a lot of fun because we kept scrambling to hide the camera and the ice bucket we were setting it on whenever the elevator started to move. One of the chaperones caught us in there and was really confused about what we were doing in the elevator, but he didn't do anything about it. =) - K

  • @SperzieBone This particular song is a traditional Nigul of Northern European Jews and has absolutely nothing to do with Haida people or culture of Canada, BC or Alaska. There is no reason for you to take offense. Do your own research before you start telling anyone to "F" off.

Great job, ladies. Singing from the heart. Love the inventive new part.

  • @teranina Thank you!!! =D - K

  • I find this very offensive

    Being a Haida myself

Fuck u and every other white person that sings this song

I don't care if u sing it in choir at home or even just to sing for fun

    Do your research busta's

  • @SperzieBone I'm sorry you find this offensive. I can assure you that wasn't our intention in the slightest. This was just a song we had sung in 6th grade and enjoyed and that we decided to sing on this choir trip for fun. It was not our intention to be disrespectful in any way. And we were not aware that it was necessary for us to do research before we sang it. Is it necessary to research every song, or is it possible to just sing a song and enjoy it for its own musical value?

  • @SperzieBone I'm sorry you felt degraded. - K

  • @SperzieBone you're such a fucking asshole. its a song that they teach people in elementary school. get the fuck out of here

  • @SperzieBone "Haida," in addition to being an indegenous group in Canada, is also a nonsense word in Yiddish. Words cross over in all sorts of languages. How can you find an entire language and culture to be offensive just because it contains a word that is that same as your cultural group? Talk about cultural insensitivity. You're the one that needs to do some research.

  • they r really good at singing and im learning this song for my chorus too

  • @skyfriroxursox Thank you! And that's awesome! =D - K

  • Im in grade 5 & learning this song :D

  • @Hagen345 Thank you!!! =D

  • in my chior we do in flanders fields and haida and o canda and some other ones we learn 100 a day !!!!

  • @Thespectaculardude I love "In Flanders Fields"! And you learn 100 songs a day??? That's insane!!! - K

  • @KaamekLasrao I know

  • ikr :D

    u guy's invented this song? :o

  • @dyolipa3 Oh, no! We sang this in our fifth or sixth grade choir. We just made up the third part for the round. =) - K

  • imge i sing this at my school choir 2 ^^

  • @dyolipa3

    Cool! =D - K

  • our choir sings that song too! its AWESOME! but i like it without the third part or YOUR HAND! haha

  • @Chihi101

Haha, yeah, I didn't feel like taking the time to edit my hand out. And I think this was back before I really knew much about video editing, so it may have even been that it didn't cross my mind. Sorry! And about the third part - we originally had four people singing this, but one of the girls had to go home early. We didn't want to have the parts unbalanced with more people on one part and we'd fall apart whenever we tried to sing it as a round with three people instead of two,

  • @Chihi101

so, we added the third part. I'm sorry you didn't like it, it was literally thought up in probably about three minutes. =) - K

  • @treespit

    Haha, cool! =D - K

  • We sing this song a lot at my school's chorus.

  • It's a fun song! - K

  • XD You remind me of my friends and I when we went on tour almost a year ago. We got to go to Disney Land and work with a great director there, and also just hang out at Disney Land.

Whenever we were just waiting in line for a ride, we'd start singing a song in unison or 2 to 4 part harmony, depending on the song, and then once we finished, we'd act like nothing happened. Fun stuff.

We didn't learn Haida until afterwords, though.

  • Lol! That's great! =D - K

  • OMG! I'm singing that song in chorus!

  • Awesome! =D - K

  • this song is so old but so good i did in fifth grade

  • Yeah, it's such a fun one to sing! =) - K

  • We are singing this in our upcoming concert. After "Haida haida hai-di-di-die-da haida" we clap. It's so fun. This is our favorite song to rehearse. You guys did so well!

  • Yeah, it is a fun song! And thank you! =) - K

  • I sang this with my chorus in like 4th or 5th grade.

    This brings back sweet memories.

    You guys sing awesome.

  • Thanks! =) - K

  • I learned the damn dance XD. You should make a video about it if you know the steps :P :D

  • we had to dance to this in school and everyone in the class was laughing

  • Sorry, but we never learned the dance for it! - K

  • hah! im singing this for festival chorus...omggss. im a soprano.

  • That's awesome! I'm a soprano, too! Are you soprano one or two? =) - K

  • good acoustics in there i guess. well the tune is right up my alley

  • just wonder what haida means over there.

  • Yeah, it'd be interesting to find out! - K

  • hhahahha!!!! we have 2 sing this in my school concert ...... this song is very VERY easy cuz it only says 1 WORD!! lol

  • Haha! I know! =) - K

  • thanks sooo much, i couldn't remember the tune to this song!

    brava ^^

  • Lol! You're welcome! I'm glad we could be of help! =) - K

  • huh?

i wonder what 'haida' means to israeli people. probably an old, old, really bad memory.

  • What didn't you understand? (With the "huh?"?)

    Yeah, I honestly don't know. - K

  • what is the song from? is it from up juneau?

well sung anyways. are you girls just jacking around?

  • I don't think the song's from Juneau; I actually think it's an Israeli song. Anyway, we sang it back in our 6th grade choir.

Thanks! Yeah, we were just messing around, having fun, and being random on our choir trip to St. Louis. (We actually are singing this in an elevator in the hotel, which is why we look toward the back at the end of the song - the elevator had just started to move, and we had to scramble to hide the ice container (our camera stand) and look less suspicious! Lol!) - K

  • Uh, we like singing, and we like this song, so we sang it. Is that a bad thing? - K

  • what is this??

  • What do you mean? - K

  • Nice...

  • Yeah, we felt like doing something random. -K
