  • If this is made into a PMV, I will bleed rainbows and blood.

  • Who the fuck needs dubstep when the bass here wreaked my only pair of headphones?!

  • Where's the Malefic/Xasthur tag??

  • fuck yeah cleanse my soul through hatreddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

  • crazy

  • I've been reading H.P. Lovecraft to Sunn O))) and let me tell you, it takes you into the unknown...

  • 173 people need to go back to Radiohead. Malefic's vocals are out of this world.

  • @kawadamark who said you can't like Radiohead and Sunn O))) at the same time?

  • I'm scared...

  • I feel like I'm going to die.

  • χαριτωμένο..

  • this is making me have to poop

  • as i started watching this the signal on my tv went to static and my dad turned out the lights cuz he thought i was upstairs. needless to say i freaked out.

  • why the fuck did I check out this group at 1 am

  • Doooood....this shit is bullshit!!

  • @Stoolmaster69 Derp my opinion matters more than yours duuurrr

  • Me and my friend locked ourselfs in my dark room while listening to this song on a fat dose of lsd. I don't even think i need to explain.

  • @DieAndThenCry I shat my pants... NO JOKE

  • @MrDanteaguilar I will never be the same.

  • thumbs up if you are stonned

  • @mahamrityumjay thumbs down if your not?

  • legend

  • Hate it.

  • Can you slow down Sunn O))) you're a bit quick for me

  • shit... i never will can get sleep again...

  • they locked malefic who is claustrophobic in a coffin to do the vocals... !

  • I don't always listen to Satanic melodies, but when I do, I prefer Sunn O))).

  • This is actually kind of cool. You can play it and reflect on life without it fucking up your train of thought. I'd drink vodka in a pitch black room while listening to this... Shit would ruin your whole life.

  • Those are some nice sounds. When's the actual song going to start playing?

  • Very strange O_O

  • Comment removed

  • MALEFIC!!!!!!!!! LOCKED IN A COFFIN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Epic drone. I love it.

  • Weren't the screams recordings of their claustrophobic friend after they locked him in a coffin or something fucked up like that?

  • Hmm, so this is what hell sounds like.

  • btw: this is great for soundtracks, and if it wasn't for the vocals i would buy the cd

  • i don't know why, but somehow this is giving me chills.

  • I love this drone, great for driving at night.

  • Sunn O))) + Xasthur + Striborg wonderful projects and it's great how they make music together.

  • does this band includes Steve O))) ?

  • if dantes inferno was real, and you were descending into hell, this would be the soundtrack. anyone who thinks this isnt real, heavy, intense music, is a fucking idiot.

  • This is a devil demon chicken from hell.

  • kill me please

  • Oh god, those screams will haunt me o.0

  • Very fucking possessed music. When you listen to it deeply, it feels as if some evil presence is taking over you. If that isn't art, I don't know what is.

  • and hell yes, I smoke pot and listen to drone doom, and its indeed otherwordly

  • @BoyfromSevilla And both of you are fucktards, smoking pot

  • @BoyfromSevilla I like usually like music psychill or dub but if I'm in the mood this would be fine too. Anything you like is fine, not really a set list of artists to listen to while on anything.

  • who cares what it takes to do? what matters is the genre and the passion, fuck all the rest

  • So.... do I just smoke pot to listen to this? 'cause it would be an awesome first try.

  • Sunn can drone all they want the tone is unreal, but it would be nice if it had drums or something else to add to it. Do they do this on any of their albums?

  • @joshposse Well, the reason I didn't enjoy it whilst drunk was because I couldn't perceive all the subtle naunces in the sonic textures which make it sound so good, alcohol numbs the senses.

I couldn't comment on listening to it on any other drug. I don't smoke pot anymore but when I did I remember it would enhance my senses and allow me to enjoy sounds much more, so I imagine smoking pot and then listening to this could only be a good thing.

  • @joshposse I think that's what he's saying yes... But the point I want to make is that being high on weed while listening to SunnO))) is .... yeah, otherworldly!

  • Genius

  • I'm listening to this drunk right now and it's not having the same effect that it does when i'm sober, drunk it feels really dulll.

Don't listen to this band under the influence of alcohol, it's not meant for it..

When i listen to this song totally sober it does wiked things for me, but right now it just feels like dull rubber.

Listen to this band sober to get it properly.

I totally love listening to this band but when i'm drunk i can't feel it properly.

  • Some sounds trigger emotions - if you have not lived or felt these things in your lives, you don't connect to the sounds associated with them.

    This applies to any genre.

  • The band supposedly also went so far as to lock the claustrophobic Malefic in a casket to record the vocals on "Báthory Erzsébet - from Wikipedia.

    This is amazing

  • am i supposed to mosh to this?

  • @spyrofoot Perhaps that is true , but it takes a good auditive memory to preform it live. And being a musician is all about being a performer (Video poster here:P )

  • @spyrofoot

It takes passion, and it does take a certain feel. Whether you understand it or not, to express feelings and to paint landscapes like this with music, does take musical talent.

However, it does not take any certain instrumental skills, but that's not really interesting.

  • @spyrofoot shuthefukupb4ibitslapufukface.

  • Comment removed

  • @spyrofoot Doesn't take any particular skill to whip up an apple pie, but it's damn good anyway.

  • @spyrofoot Drone takes a huge artistic vision and understanding of music to make it even remotely interesting, so in that sense it certainly does take talent and skill to make. That being said, I think SunnO))) has only recently gotten some substance in their stuff, as they've gotten closer to modern art music, raga and jazz even. You should check out pieces by Arvo Pärt, Gyorgy Ligeti and Steve Reich, unless Black One has killed drone for you.

  • @spyrofoot if it's so easy then go make yourself a legacy making it like these guys.

  • @spyrofoot just like dubstep! :D

  • wow. this is just awful. I guess its "2deep4me"

  • @MrCrowley1018 I think most people would agree with you! I happen to really enjoy this, though. It's nice to have something this unique in my music rotation.

  • Oh man...I know some people get something out of this but....this is unlistenable retardation.

  • I don't recommend falling asleep to this...

  • Why don't they have drums? This would be fucking great with drums.

  • So glad my parents decided to call me Elizabeth...

  • GUYS! (video poster here) .... there's some crazy shit happening in Kiev(ukraine) and some other places (china, usa).... WEIRD ambient metal scraping noises from the sky been happening since early this month, often for hours at a time.... it's like a natural drone phenomenon! And the media is ignoring it.... Just type "Kiev strange sound" in youtube and you'll find the videos... fucking twisted! ... SPREAD THIS SHIT

  • @geostigma123 I love drone sometimes ill take my bass and hit the deeptes note and loop it slow it down it no longer is noise its just killing the amps of my car, ill drive listening to tapes of this because i know no artist or band that dose music as slow and dark as i like, tho Sunn come very close. I love this album .

  • We had the same thing in New Zealand, geostigma123. It was on the national news about a fortnight ago.

  • @geostigma123 Here is the explanation of those strange noises in Kiev and all around the world (apparently in Canada there were the same thing in August). Media covers it on intention to give some fog in the eyes of stupid miserable citizens, that obviously feed all that bs from TV. Check this link for answers

  • @geostigma123 reality-choice. org/159/strange-sounds-all-around-the-world

  • @geostigma123 Are you saying that this is a music movement, or just that you dig the noises? I can't tell if they are an internet host or an extreme art project.

  • This isn't even music.

You're all high as fuck if you think this has any sort of aesthetic appeal.

  • @Wyndrax It's obviously not music, but I kinda like the way it sounds. It's just noises, but you can't deny they are cool noises :)

  • @Wyndrax I like this, it IS music (hence the clearly noticeable melody), and I haven't done drugs once in my life. It's ambient music, meant to create a mood, and doesn't have traditional song structure.

  • @Wyndrax

no your aesthetic spectrum is just really narrow

  • vocals sound like xasthur

  • @darkmatter616 It is Malefic from Xasthur. In fact these vocals were recorded with him being locked in a casket and screaming outside.

  • This isn't music you listen to, so much as it's music you let wash over you while doing or thinking about something else. It's good for writing or reading a book.

Background noise, ambiance, meditation music, metal head, satanist & Trve Cvlt black metaller lullabies... or just something to piss your neighbors off with.

  • Goddamn... I'm the uploader of this, and I haven't checked my views for about a year... goddamn! nice work Drone warriors!

  • bathory rules...

    thanks

    quorthon.

  • Hipster shit

  • @MetalHead1664 This music style was around before the term hipster existed, has it ever occured to you that some people actually like drone and ambient genres?

  • @HallucinogenicFluid I like some ambiance in my Metal! But this band is shit in my opinion they play a 2 or 3 chords and people love it? :O

  • @MetalHead1664 There are times for advanced complexity, but also for simplicity . We live in a world of duality you know:P

  • @MetalHead1664 It's called DRONE/doom for a reason. Some people like, some don't . Doesn't mean have to be a jackass about your own opinions.

  • @mashui99 Ok ;) sorry about that then and thanks not for being a jackass in your response

  • @MetalHead1664 Different people love different things man, you just have to go along with it =P

  • This song about

Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed (Báthory Erzsébet in Hungarian, Alžbeta Bátoriová in Slovak; 7 August 1560 – 21 August 1614) was a countess from the renowned Báthory family of Hungarian nobility. Although in modern times she has been labelled the most prolific female serial killer in history, her guilt is debated. She is nevertheless remembered as the "Blood Countess" or "Blood Queen."

  • woah, this is one interesting genre. melodic

  • FUUUCK,

  • hoy,12 de agosto de 2011 en Buenos Aires,Argentina,se oscurecio el cielo haciendo que el dia se convierta en noche a las 12:20

    este es un soundtrack perfecto

  • So...when does the song start?

  • This kicks ass!!

  • this is making me so tired...it almost makes me feel slightly depressed, but i kinda like it :)

  • yes! this was their song I was looking for!

  • The Vocals Of This Song were made by locking the (clausterphobic) Malefic from Xasthur in a Casket and making him sing/scream/growl/whateverthefuckheisdoing .

  • god this type of music take some fucking LSD >.< thts why it was made JEEZ!

  • why everybody think is atilla... no!!!!!!! is malefic from xasthur

  • good 'ol drone metal... stuffs good to listen to at home, but it really isnt great live ima be honest.

  • @atheistspongebob you are so wrong. You obviously don't understand/appreciate drone metal, which is COMPLETELY OK, but there are tons of people who legitimately like this. Drone metal is not the only type of drone. There is tons of orchestral drone music (look up the beginning of the opera the Ring of the Nibelungen) and honestly this stuff is more listenable than a lot of the ambiant music some people produce. I listen to a huge range of music including drone metal.

  • @atheistspongebob

it's minimalistic music, like BACKGROUND music. I doubt anyone actually bangs their head to it, it's more like something you listen to while working. For me, it makes for good music to run in the background while writing to set the mood. It isn't all fireworks and big rifts, it's ambiance. Oh, and it does make for good meditation music as well.

  • this is complete garbage. move along folks. nothing to see here.

  • @willlayb you move along lol

  • @cordfluidnevoie how do you even like this garbage?

  • @willlayb music tastes are subjective. Enough said. Trust me... there is FAR worse out there.

  • @Chalikun what is far worse?

  • @ClayrVoyanT I've heard some truly awful songs that are more mainstream than this. They're horrible, stupid, and you have to be on crack to appreciate them, in my opinion.

But like I said, music is subjective. If you don't like it, do what I do: Just don't listen to it.

  • @willlayb obvious troll is obvious. if you don't like it, don't listen to it. fail troll is a fail.

  • @willlayb it's drone metal dummy, what is it you expected to get from this band, if you knew even the slightest information about them beforehand? fucking metallica riffs in the middle somewhere to wake you up? Go back to sleep.

  • This bored me up to 2:30... now I'm gone...

  • @sixstringking6

Nobody cares really though do they?

This isn't 'noise rock', it's just crap.

  • @bigtoeleet

atleast Sunn O))) has more creativity then you probably ever will. learn to apprectiate other peoples creativity and talent.

  • I don't know what kind of person enjoys this shit, I sure as hell don't

  • @andyweuling

    Hey andyweuling, no one cares.

  • Why the hell is Justin Bieber in the suggestions? LOL

  • Begotten+Sunn...try that =)

  • @OmegaRedAlpha I would try it if I actually had a copy of Begotten - I can't seem to find it online anywhere, let alone at a good price.

I'd imagine that it's slightly less creepy/terrifying than Silencer + Begotten, but not by much!

  • better than Justin beiber

  • Huh, supposedly the band locked the claustrophobic Malefic in a casket to record these vocals. Now that's some fuckin dedication right there\m/

  • @stewy1897

coming from someone who likes very dark eerie music because I know it can create an intense atmosphere, I still stand by my previous comment. It's not being close minded, I've listened to it thoroughly and come to a conclusion.

  • It's just noise...

  • @bigtoeleet To someone with a closed mind it is. To someone willing to sit here and thoroughly listen to a very dark eerie music it can be one hell of an experience.

  • @bigtoeleet

There's a genre for that, it's called Noise Rock. Nice try though.

  • Play it LOUD.

  • @jabuhrer1 i just HOPE i get to see em live before i die . i live in India and we hardly get to see bands like sunn o ))here..

  • last night i llistened it and watched on same time blair witch project

    SO SCARY

  • man i would LOVE to see them live

  • @mahamrityumjay Best concert I've ever, ever, ever seen. I've seen just about everyone live, and nothing comes close to Sunn 0))). The albums don't even compare. I'd drive across the country to see them again.

  • Oh man, when the beat dropped at 7:07, I just went fuckin' crazy.

  • This is definately music to triiiiiiiiiiiiiiip oooooooooooooooout too haha. I'm stoned, so this is making the music even more deep O.o

  • I love every kind of Metal even the most particular but this is SO particular... mmmh, it reminds me things like the grave, the black, the sadness... this is really the darkest music I've ever listen, I don't understand the significate. But mine is not a criticism! Full of feelings, congratulations!

  • BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz

  • Sunn O))). The soundtrack to my nightmares.

  • @KiwiLovin7 Me too. I was listening to these guys while I slept, and holy shit. I almost never remember my dreams from the night before, but I do remember waking up feeling very uncomfortable and terrified that night.

  • i don't get it

  • yeah the singer is claustrophobic so they locked him in a coffin and had him do the lyrics from the inside

also, nobody is forcing you to like this/listen to this, if you don't like it, don't listen to it

  • @TheOriginalArchetype

    You new to metal?

  • I didnt know you could upload heroin to youtube.

  • @Nvelopmusic hahahahahaha lmfao :D

  • Is this the song Malefic recorded inside a wooden coffin, then they placed the coffin in the back of a hearse? I know he does 2 tracks on this album. I think this is the track, sounds like he's in a coffin. And I find that really damn cool... but I'm really damn weird too................

  • People find this pleasurable?

    Fucking how?!

  • @TheOriginalArchetype It's Drone, not really sure why people like it. I do, but I'm not really sure why.

  • @Isosyth

    I hear that

  • @TheDgdsn I have to say I don't listen to much drone metal (at least I think this is drone metal). I have to say that this kind of music (drone, dark ambient, isolationist, etc.) is actually harder to make than it seems, well it's easy to make but hard to do right.

Also I have to say I'm not a huge fan of drone metal, I prefer the electronic dark ambient/isolationist music. (Check Philip Jeck's "Tilting" if you're interested, it's a lot different than this).

  • @TheOriginalArchetype

It's about the interesting textures and soundscapes the band creates.

  • @BingoNightAtChurch

Hm, if you guys say so. Just sounds like a headache to me.

  • @TheOriginalArchetype You need concentration and a good mind-set to listen to this. If you come here and expect something dumb than this will be dumb. If you come here expecting something dark, you will find the darkest experience that you have ever heard in your life.

  • @TheOriginalArchetype Just as I find metal good. Goddamnit, it's not hard to understand how can one like something. Basic logic.

  • @MorbidMarauder

Yes, I know it's not hard to understand. It's just something like this....Static? Random noises?

    What's the point?

  • @TheOriginalArchetype What's the point in everything? There is no point. Why does it need a point?

  • @TheOriginalArchetype great atmosphere of darkness, sadness, hopeless etc
