Troy Davis - out of state memorial disrupted - STOP DEATH PENALTY

In the hours and days that followed Troy's tragic death, I searched for a meaningful way to honor his life. The idea that finally came to me—Plant a Tree for Troy—is a living memorial that can reach around the world, giving every community of advocates an opportunity to participate, and serving as a reminder that our movement to abolish the death penalty must continue to grow: May truth take root in every heart, and justice know no season.

@roxanneivey Thank you for your comment! Many people loved the site for a long time, but someone obviously did not. Technically one can't plant a tree anywhere. This one is a borderline case, being a plant native to the area. Such rules might apply elsewhere. Originally we had brought this tree potted instead of flowers for Christmas. Since the site was disturbed we planted it. It would be better if one has a bigger community who decides together to plant a Troy Davis tree or make a memorial.
