Why some people have to be so rude to other cultures I don't get it we are all the same no matter where you come from.Or who you are I love you people very much plus when I see these people dance or hear them singing and chanting it's something special.Plus there are some pretty good Native actors,comedians, and singers out there.Also when I'm worried about a friend of mine I go to a friend of mine who is Native and after talking to him I feel better.Micheal and Eddie you guys are awsome.

I walk with a cane at the age of 43! Not complaining just happy to still be here! But the nasty comments of some folks still leaves me shaking my head and wondering why some of us consider ourselves the dominant species on this planet? I do have a small amount of Sioux in my blood and to be honest that is not what has changed my life. What did was respect for other people! Don't have something good to say please keep it to yourself!

It must be an appalling burden to live with this kind of thinking. But do not give up. You can always change it. Just to want. What an anazing song and drumming.I'm a non Native but I love to attend Pow Wows with my friends and family. When I go, I am drawn to the drumming that each tribe contributes. I actually tend to only stay where all the drumming takes place instead of walking around! I really love it and I stand as close as I respectfully can to just feel the vibrations of the drum. Its mesmerizing! Great song..

Does anyone in Eagle butte remember a lady named Aunty Grace? Or a lady named Debo? I can't remember the rest of their family! I was there around 1984 and loved it! If anyone knows of them please email me at pavlikbro@yahoo.com

I remember Debo (hope I am spelling it right) gave me some "Taniga" (probably not spelled right! Smelled good but I could not get passed the looks!. Then there was a purple colored pudding mixture that I loved, and then the flatbread! Thanks for the memories!

Yep eagle Butte is a amazing place too live wish there was a pow wow there every now and then but the only time we see a pow wow is when fair comes around any how love this song keep your drum raddeling boiz excuse me and men..

Very haunting. I remember attending many ceremonies when I was a kid, but South Dakota is a dark but enchanting place, because it allows good times to mean something, when many take it for granted, so there is beauty there, unlike any other.

My husband was born in the Old Cheyenne Agency in the 1950's. Its underwater now and he grew up in La Plant and Eagle Butte. He moved out east 25 years ago but we try to back to SD as often as we can. He still have relatives on the rez. Thanks for the video.
