  • Hi i just install my metra kit but the display in not turning on and the a/c controller but the fan is working , can somebody help me please :) . Thanks

  • Thanks for the video!!! Just used this to fix my heater knob =)

  • ok nvm i fixed it. it was those connectors to the front panal. i had to remove the cd player panal metal thing with the black stripe. i didnt put it in right and it was making the board crooked so it wouldnt fit in flush. took it out and it solved my problem. WOOT!

  • if you're cd player magically "stopped working" and mazda stold you it'd be $500+ to fix, and you said "fuck it, i'll replace it I myself" hit that damn like button.

  • @acrosswalkmassacre yea seriously i got an 05 8 and dude it skips over every bump even before i got my stance coilovers its crazy im replacing it this weekend as soon as my Metra kit gets here!!..

  • Isn't she wearing her engagement ring on the wrong hand?

  • have lots of problems with cd player skipping when going over little bumps that shouldn't matter. watched this and figured out whoever owned car before me put subs in and left out that "hidden bolt" anyone know what size it is? and if replacing it may help with the skipping?

  • @JTArmy88M Hey man, just dropped and lost my hidden bolt, replaced it with a 10mm Bolt (head size) 16mm Long and about a 1mm thread. Hope this helps

  • grazieeeeeeeeeee mileeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Anyone know the length of the hidden bolt? I dropped it and cannot find it. The radio is back in but ever so slightly loose. Thanks.

  • Just wanted to say, for anyone who's radio lights up but won't respond and has a blank display after doing this, you have put the faceplate back on the radio very carefully if you take it off. It has to go on just right so that it doesn't wiggle at all, or else all the connections won't be made. I had to push it carefully on applying even pressure to both sides to make it work again.

  • @Archames hey man can u help me out? so i did the aux input soldering thing and when i put everything back i get no display radio doesnt work. only thing that works is emergency lights and fan. but thats it. can u help meeeeee! i tried reseating it like u said but it still wont show. and i also tested the wires and they all work. i checked each and everyone for an output. dont kno what im doing wrong here.

  • nice legs

  • this is also the same for the 2nd gen sport model

  • to remove the light there are 2 tabs that are recessed and you squeeze them to remove light instead of the entire white thing

  • Thanks! BTW that tough screw is a 10mm hex

  • Thanks! BTW that tough screw is a 10mm hex

  • Great very informative is this the same for a 2004 rx8 with the bose system

  • thanks dude. this video showed me what the pic tutorials couldnt as far as getting that screw out.

to those that cant find it-- lie down on ur back on the floor, head in the corner against the gas pedal. then raise your head as FAR as you can into the corner, looking left. you will BARELY see it. dim lighting wont do you any good either.

it is its located to the lower right of that white circular hub, directly BEHIND the bar that contains the two nuts close together

  • That's a lot of BS just to remove the HU.

  • I cant find the screw, I drive a 2006 shinka.. HELP!!

  • @reavrr keep looking, you will find it :)

  • @eturkov

FOUND IT!!! :P it was an effin bitch.. you cant see it.. you can only feel it with your hand.. I felt like blind man trying to read bus schedule.. but after that screw it was all easy.. ty guys

  • now i see it, i did this myself too... it was a pain in the ass to get it alll out.

  • how do you unplug the two wires in the back so that you can pull out the whole radio??

its impossible and its killing me

  • a small hand/small screw driver and lots of patience,

  • hey dose the stock unit control the alram or keyless enrty

  • No, I don't think it does.
