  • Hey friend can you give me somehow that pictures on the beginnig of the video. I see they have acurate anatomic and can be seen the muscels structure very good what i'm getting interesting. And also i like your all tutorials because they are very good explaned what i'm fascinating.

  • i like the video but does anyone notice a similarity to all the voices in any zbrush tutorial all the voices sound condescending and happy at the same time maybe its the profession but im serious just listen to the voice on any z brush tutorial anywhere and you will find a voice like this guys hahaha

    but when a press shift to activate the smooth nothing happend?

  • Nice video, some really good work and you've made me strongly consider buying a copy of ZBrush. Although being English it was a bit painful being bombarded with the American pronunciation of 'z' :p

    when i'm initially sculpting my zsphere armature, when i enable symmetry to start doing the limbs, my symmetry always seems to be off somehow (angles are never quite right and my symmetry isn't working symmetrically)...

    anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

  • I dont normally say this but your video helped me out a lot, I havent found many tutorials like this on youtube, certainly visiting your website.

    Z brush Is not going well for me, the program does not have very precise tools such as 3DS - etc. so this makes things difficult & such for things like lips & worst of all hands & feet, Im looking to see If I am missing something to help me with those....

  • I am currently learning in zbrush, I followed your tutorial and got some problem at unify skin. When I pressed unify skin, the new tool is created with the zsketch marks, but the original zspheres are missing. How can I turn on the zsphere when i press unify skin? But the way I love your tutorial, this is so useful.

  • @07514610d once you make the unified skin, you can no longer edit it as a zsphere surface, that is the "final step" of the process when you move on to working on real polygons

  • Hi I am a newbie in Zbrush, hope someone could help me, some days ago I was trying to find the texture sub pallet in tool pallet but I just see the texture map sub pallet, I tried to change any key that could help me to find the pallet but it was useless, Any one know how can solve this problem?

  • zsketch is another tool zbrush gives you to quickly add in mass. You have to retopologize to specify an animatable output based on the anatomy of your sculpt.

  • whats better...maya or ZBrush?

  • They are really two very different, very capable programs with little overlap. Its a little like asking, what's better: a sailboat or a honda civic?

    Learn both, learn all the other programs too. Can't hurt to be familiar with them all.

  • Zbrush is useful for creating, detailing and painting characters or objects easily, but you can't create a 3D scene with it, or animations. Programs like 3dsmax or maya are used for creating 3D movies or videogames, some people use both because you can export and import textures and models from Zbrush (Assasins creed 2's characters were detailed with Zbrush ^^)

  • One thing Zbrush is very bad on is basic tutorials.

  • Why do people always make their models super ripped.

  • to show off their understanding of anatomy

  • easier to make it look cool and to avoid soft tissue fat anatomy because its harder :D

  • I don't think it looks cool. It looks like there's hundreds of fictional characters running around on steroids.

  • Of course it doesnt look cool all the time but its easier to make it look cool. Check out Selwy´s work.

    He has a pretty neat balance between muscles and real life person look.

  • @peoplethought This is the way they've been doing in since 500 BC. Although this model does show more of the actual muscles with no real skin over it, it shows the different muscles and understanding of anatomy.

  • if you already have zbrush 3.1 you can upgrade it for free to 3.5, but theres is only a windoes vesion, the mac update isnt released yet

  • Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Zbrush 3.5 is looking very competitive. I'm loving this situation because Mudbox and Zbrush and 3dCoat are all in a hell of a hot race with the winner being us the artists...

  • I...really dont see how using zsketch made you get the result any faster. When you discarded all those zspheres you got a very, very basic mesh, so what gives ? I dont get it.

  • well what I like is that it doesn't take too much longer to get some of the overhangs and extra form that hard to get with the armature alone. Zsketching alone won't produce the final topo results you need, but you can always enable "projection" when you make your adaptive skin and keep some of those forms. My goal is to make a base as quickly as possible, and these new tools are just a part of that.
