In normal mode... there's one trinket where the only way to get it IS to die.

The gravitron pattern is always the same on different games? If not, this can't be tool assisted without inspecting the memory (means a lot of reverse engineering, some AI code and a lot of timing tricks). IMO, the game itself offers a lot of ways to just train well on all parts of the game. Simply: not everybody has the patience and enough nerves of steel to train over and over until success.
