You can indeed make a double door with redstone, it's just a bit more complicated. I've seen it done on a video.

To make a double red stone door system you need to make a current inverter for one of the doors. I don't know how to explain it but a few LPres have shown it off and haw to make them.

To make a double door you'll need to have 1 door with an negative charge and the other one needs an positive charge.
