I've been playing for a while. Started years ago, stopped for a long time and recently returned to it. There are lots of good instruction manuals out there. An Aussie publicaton series - one of which is Progressive Guitar Chords. The theory is easy. A guitar is easy to play, hard to play well.

Along with many others I was greatly inspired to play real guitar by this "shitty game" so I don't think its unreasonable to leave a comment about my admiration for it. ohh Marty..what about the amazing abrupt sharply done pull off at the end of the opening solo that is the giant cherry on top. it looks like you interpreted it as a double tap of "e" at 17th fret. Try it as a pull off from f# to e and you'll have a heart attack at its awesomeness. unless you listened to a different version.

marty what amp would be right for rock songs

@i3690 He uses Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue and Divided by 13 amps, the latter being a very expensive boutique amp. Check out the DRRI, although they aren't cheap either. It all depends on price point, what you mean by "rock", what guitar and pedals you want to use, etc. For most of Marty's "rock" (distorted) sounds he is using a DRRI I believe (and a Fulltone OCD pedal). You don't need expensive (or pedals) for a good rock sound- focus on your playing the most.
