john was the only person who voted for the best, russell betrayed him, but john still voted for him to win, i think it was because of erik's speech at the end that may have changed everyones vote, so i think erik is the reason why russell lost

im so glad russell lost he was the worst villain of all, worst than Richard & Johnny fair play. And i would have gave it to Natalie just to stick it in Russ's face just like everyone else. He didn't deserve it not just because of the money he made but because he felt like he was the only smart person there and everyone else were idiots. He got comfortable and he rubbed everyone the wrong way so bad that they didnt care that he out played them like Richard in the 1st season.

It's actually quite simple. The footballs and chess pieces used in Survivor are not made of the same materials as standard footballs and chess pieces. They're made of flesh, bone, blood, muscle, intestines, and MEMORY. Russell didn't stop to think about the effects of his conduct; Natalie did. If you don't want them to be bitter, don't make them feel like pawns.
