What I'd say is Harpoon fish die by actual injury rather than drowning and or struggling and dying of exhaustion and stress or scavengers. Also from the moment they've begun to be caught they've already begun purging the blood out of their meat. For the ones who feel sorry for them, they had an opportunity to get away, it wasn't trickery or bait and switch it was simply harpoon to sword combat and the fish gave his life for a better cause! On top of all that there's no bycatch, no gear
