That being said, I was raised in a Pentecostal church, but now attend the Church of God. Actually that part of Corinthians is taken out of context in this case. The church at Corinth was comprised of pagans that had gotten saved. In their former pagan religion, the shorn head on a woman was a sign that she was a temple priestess which was basically a prostitute. Well after they got saved their hair didn't grow back overnight, so Paul advised them to cover their heads when they came to the public prayer and worship services. That way no one could say "hey look at that prostitut

Since Paul told the Corinthian church that women's hair was to be their covering, why are we covering it up? Why not let it be long ike the Bible teaches is a natural thing for women? I let my hair hang down; these hairstyles are fun and seem to bring attention to the sisters, why not just let it hang long? A sis in Christ. :)

@melaina16 since you wet it it helps to get your hair more "flexable" i guess you could say. when your hair is wet aint it flat? okay it helps straighten it and make it "flexable" so its easier to fix.

Sir, I am a baptist and don't know too much about the long hair, however, doesn't the Bible mention women must also wear hair coverings while worshipping, aren't they both found in Paul's letter to Corinth? Why don't the women wear hair coverings? I've always been curious as to why one and not the other. I've been taught that short hair for women, during the time of Paul's letter, was a sign of prostitution, hence the long hair with a hair covering.

I didn't have a downey sheet. I used bounce and it worked PERFECT! Just rememember that the fragrance does go away but returns when you wash your hair. Then you laugh because you can't believe you used it in the first place. Thanks a bunch.

I think the Bible teaches that the woman should let her hair grow meaning not to cut in the original text. For allowing her hair to grow is her glory.

Now that may equate to having long hair, but note length of hair may be affected by race and climate.

Study the history and origins of the Bible.
