Our young adult choir sang this song in the 80's and the lead singer could sing it just like Yolanda. Even when she slurrs on I'm surre Regina Green would throw her back out and lay it down. I will always remember our choir singing this song. My God Sister was the lead and when she died her daughter took over the lead and sang the song. I remember her daughter sang it at her mother's funeral. This song is awesome.

Oh my goodness I looked for this song here about two years ago. A lot of people don't know that this was Yolanda Adams first big hit as a member of the Southeast Inspirational Choir...I blast it in my car on the way to work. My CD has to be reburned constantly. The gospel dj on a local am station Spencer J played it every weekend-we heard it after church or before church. Brings tears to my eyes. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS ONE!!!

@jiayen12 you can sometimes run up on it on Amazon or Ebay. Its been out of print since about '94 when Paula/Jewel re-relased it. On Amazon and Ebay it was on there for over 60 bucks. I was fortunate to find it in a used music bin for 3 bucks.

I actually had no idea who sang this song, but I always loved listening to it. @jiayen12 you can sometimes run up on it on Amazon or Ebay. Its been out of print since about '94 when Paula/Jewel re-relased it. On Amazon and Ebay it was on there for over 60 bucks. I was fortunate to find it in a used music bin for 3 bucks.

I remember on Sunday morning at Gethsemane Temple C.O.G.I.C. in the N.O.La. Singing this song put the whole church in a churchee mode. Lead by Patrice LaFrance and Bradford Lofton on Organ.." Oh my God those were the days". I wish Gospel music could go back to it's original sound...We have good gospel today, but the old school gospel just took you to another level...

Yaaah she was twenty at the time... Oh my, her voice seems so fragile here. I love it, It feels so strange. I discovered her with the believe album in 2001 so for me it's quite a shock to hear her with that powerful squeeky voice ^^.

This choir was the joint back in the day. Yoland was singing her butt off back then and still doing it now. I don't know who was playing that organ, but that's what you call organ playing under the Holy Ghost!!!

I heard this song on the Yolanda Adams' morning show and I fell in love with this. I heard her voice and said whomever this is singing this song is really delivering those lyrics. She finally revealed it was her singing it when she was 17. I love this song and will be trying to locate this cd. WOW!

@laniaison Hi this is Cd yeah I found out today while listening to her morning show on this Monday May 3rd 2010 Monday, Glory to God, cause interesting enough I thought it was a Clark's sister group or solo song of one of the sisters, I love the Clark Sisters also, Yolanda has a very powerful voice so awesomely blessed and annointed by God.

@cdsouthsidec1 that's so crazy, I was listening to the same radio station this morning in Philly while driving to the doctor's office. I actually had no idea who sang this song, but I always loved listening to it. So when I heard Yolanda Adams talking about the history of it I couldn't believe she said it was her when she was 17 years old. Yes I agree her voice is amazingly powerful. Praise God!!! So glad I came across this song on here.
