the fact remains that quality is not cheap, if you want a good, reliable and skirmish-worthy airsoft gun than you're not gonna find one under 150USD. as the airsoft G36 is used as an example i personally own a Tokyo Marui G36C wich costed me 275€, it was then shooting only 290FPS. i upgraded it to 350 and it is after 2 years still shooting flawless.

Seeing that it is a GBB, the gun uses a gas (Green Gas or Propane) delivery system to shoot the BB. Now gas will not last very long like a battery will so that's why they typically make 30 round mags for not just the gas, but for realism. And again, the reason why the gun is $260 is because it uses a GBB system which is more expens

@sonicunseathed A lot of the time airsoft guns are different prices for many different reasons. One reason (as stated by someone before0 could be that it is a gas operated airsoft gun not an electric AEG. Gas ones are more expensive to produce. More often than not though a more expensive model of 'the same' gun is due to a variety of factors due to the manufacturer: higher rate of fire, better build quality and reliability. You really should do your research before either buying or flaming :p

something i did notice, alot of echo 1 guns are rebranded jg guns with echo1 decals painted on the side. the jg g36c was $125, and the echo1 g36c is $165, but the echo1 is the exact same as the JG. we even took it apart and JG was stamped on the gears.
I completely agree. When I was looking for my first airsoft gun on Airsplat.com, the FAMAS I wanted was 40-50 dollars, but a quick google search turned up airsoft guns that were $250+. At that time, I had no idea that the expensive gun was a Tokyo Marui FAMAS Super Version... I think that this is a common mistake that people have, and you just have to look carefully. No one should ever blame ASGI for being over priced.
I got my mom addicted to airsoft a few weeks ago and had to explain to her that in comparison, airsoft gi is cheaper, because if you try to find the same gun on a different site, it will almost always cost more

@axoflight44 A Decent airsoft gun will cost you 150+, such as the JG G36k. it's a pretty decent AEG 900 RPM with 9.6 and 350 fps. so if your trying to get into the sport, you'll need atleast 300-350 dollars. unless you wanna go cheap than you can cut some things off.... -Smart charger - Good Battery -the Gun itself (Duh?) -Good eye protection ( Optional ) If you play only on the weekends, i'd go with getting a bag of 15 thousand BB's. They'll save you money and last a LONG time. thats about it..

I've only noticed a few things on asgi that are more expensive than other website. For example I bought a stock off another website that is the EXACT SAME as one on asgi that was a good 10 or 20 dollars cheaper (this was the g&p or src shorty stock, I don't remember which). however the customer service was shitty as hell and they were very rude so even if find myself in a similar situation I am still going to buy from asgi because they treat me best. THAT is most important.
I also wanna say this; I've been taking the liberty of looking around to compare prices and since im from Sweden, I have compared some swedish stores too. The result was that you guys have almost 50% OFF of the market price here in Sweden. The same goes to Redwolfairsoft, wich share the same respect from me as you guys.
So my conclusion is that you guys ripping people off is pure bullcrap since I compared guns from the same brand. Great store and great reviews everyone at airsoft G.I. Cheers!

@EddyKicksAss It depends... Sometimes you only need a certain amount of functionality, and the rest is unnecessary. For example, a 2$ snow shovel vs a 20$ one. True the 20$ one might last 2-3 times longer, but with that cost, with inflation, you'd be able to buy 10-15 cheap shovels, and that's not even considering advances in technology....

As a suggestion, I think you should also make a video to inforn new and all players about how the how to look at guns when purchasing. Such as, not just look at the gun then the name then the price. As well as showing how you could tell your getting the quality you are paying for.

if it has a plastic gearbox... it won't last long, and you have to modify it.

Unfortunately I'm stuck with an M83 M4 right now. Barely makes it through skirmishes. To make matters worse, I don't even have a UKARA license.
Fortunately I'm almost ready to apply for one and am getting an £80 GBB metal M9 which can easily be resprayed once I'm registered with UKARA.

I've only noticed a few things on asgi that are more expensive than other website. For example I bought a stock off another website that is the EXACT SAME as one on asgi that was a good 10 or 20 dollars cheaper (this was the g&p or src shorty stock, I don't remember which). however the customer service was shitty as hell and they were very rude so even if find myself in a similar situation I am still going to buy from asgi because they treat me best. THAT is most important.

I also wanna say this; I've been taking the liberty of looking around to compare prices and since im from Sweden, I have compared some swedish stores too. The result was that you guys have almost 50% OFF of the market price here in Sweden. The same goes to Redwolfairsoft, wich share the same respect from me as you guys.

True the 20$ one might last 2-3 times longer, but with that cost, with inflation, you'd be able to buy 10-15 cheap shovels, and that's not even considering advances in technology....
