  • I'm having another problem. I have my ps2 directly connected to my lap top and followed all of the instructions. When I run the device on opl it loads and when it is done loading it comes up with a blank list. I might be using the wrong cable or not. Do I have to esr patch my games or do they have to have a specific name in order for them to appear?

  • @v2nikk Is it a crossover cable or ethernet cable? If you are using OPL, just make sure to rip games to a folder, share it, and then you should be good to go. See blog article too.

  • opl 0.8 freezes on the opl loading screen where the loading wheel at the bottom right just stops.

  • @v2nikk So it freezes before you can do a usb or SMB game?

  • @gamedexterity Yeah, but i fixed it.

  • I did everything yo said to do in this and the 0.7 tutorial, but my internet keeps disconnecting when i use OPL and I can never get past a green screen whenever I try to boot a game over network. Is there something else I missed?

  • @Oraclenexus2 Defrag the hard drive. My internet never disconnects? You are using a crossover cable to the PS2, and wireless to the router for internet?

  • @gamedexterity My internet is wireless, and I have the PS2 connected directly to the desktop, although I can't actually tell if its a crossover cable or not. I guess I'll give defragging a shot though.

  • I got everything EXACTLY like you have it in this video, and I can't get any games to show up via USB or through the network. I completely disable my windows firewall and still no luck. I can get into the files via the SMS that gets installed with FMCB (I played multiple songs through the SMS with no problems) but I can't get it to connect via OPL.8.

  • @RzrBladeMontage Let's try usb the proper way. Get a partition, ideally if its primary would be best on the usb hard drive, format it with usbextreme, rip a game, and then plug it in. See my other ps2 tutorials to become the ps2 king.

  • @gamedexterity I partitioned my external harddrive for 40GB NTFS, then I used USBExtreme and formatted it in FAT32. I installed Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus to the partition. I double checked my network settings for both my computer and PS2 to make sure they were correct. Set up sharing on my partition with the name PS2SMB and gave full access to everyone. Made sure password protection for file sharing was off. Went into OPL.8 and tried again, no luck.

  • @RzrBladeMontage Two quick items: Can you ping the PS2 and get a reply back in MS? Did you try USB hard drive just to confirm at least the game was ripped correctly?

  • @gamedexterity The games ripped fine through USBExtreme and IMGBurn. I went and set up my my network to be used via my router and I got it to work through that instantly, so then I tried again this way and it worked. Props to you guys! <3

  • @RzrBladeMontage What was the thing you did that made it work? Only one person can take credit for this video, and thats me. Tell me how it feels to be a PS2 king. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity I didn't realize the gateway actually matter but once I changed mine from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.2.1 (as well as the IP on both my computer and PS2) it worked fine. Thanks a bunch Versatile.

  • i had this working in the past but now i want to go back to using it and my OPL 0.8 wont even load it freezes at the startup screen

  • @GhostMirror3567 Never had that issue. how about .7?

  • 06:01

    Bingo!

  • thanks man, now i want use NTFS with network because games don't work with many files created with USBUtil or USBExtreme and my favorite games iso are bigger than 4 Go, some games less than 4Go renamed to SLES_xxxx.NameOfGame.iso methode works good on FAT32 partition but for NTFS i don't understand how include username and password to the shared folder's sharing permissions???pls help

  • @jonnah0 Rewatch the video on the whole SMB part. Here you can have games on PC on a NTFS partition and share it from there. Read the blog guide too, I spent a lot of working writing it!

  • @gamedexterity yesss now all my games rox on NTFS with network :D, because of you i fall in love with my old PS2 ,and it's great with SMS player wow !! there is no lags anymore on Divx movies !! finally i am not a tool right :-) ?

  • @jonnah0 You my friend....are the new PS2 king. Enjoy! - Versatile

  • I noticed you have NiGHTS in the list of games on your usb HDD. I have a SCPH-39001 and am using OPL 0.8 (gonna test 0.7 soon), and I can't get NiGHTS to work. I got Virtual-ON OMG to work though. NiGHTS just gives me a black screen. I've been waiting 14 years to play NiGHTS. Is there anything I can do? Thank you for all your help so far!

  • @jomon324 Nights work I'm pretty sure, otherwise I would not have put it on the hard drive. Defrag the hard drive after you install it. If .8 doesn't like it, try .7. If for some reason it still fails, well, there is always the old school laser method.

  • i cant download usb extreme or usb util it does not work

  • @akanash94 What? Go get them from sksapps dawt com!

  • Where on Earth do you get a externaly powered hard drive. I can't find them anywhere the closest is just a external hard drive which is just the same as an externaly power one except this one is USB powered. Will it work if it is USB powered. And will just using a regular USB work?

  • @Avanart123 USB powered is fine. Guy's, you need to watch my PS2 playlist video. I show 3 different usb devices working with the PS2. I will make a bulletin right now!

  • hmm maybe i can get some help here ... i cant get Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance to work on usb method on opl 0.8 it comes as a white screen other games like lotr works what am i doing wrong what does white screen mean !

  • @nekuzm Then why not patch the game iso with ESR patcher, and then play from the disc?

  • @gamedexterity Ya thanks for that im gonna try that

  • Best OPL video ever and probably in the top 100 of tutorials. Man, i am glad someone took the time to explain this.

  • @TheImmortalSoule Thanks we really appreciate it! -Monoxide

  • Thank you for this excellent tutorial, I LOVE YOU! srsly i have been suffering with usb advance since it NEVER ran ANY game for me i was about to give up hope until i found your videos about Openps2Loader.... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

  • @Mustadio This is why I do what I do. I don't make fake tutorials. I am so glad you found mine. Now go out and become the fuckin ps2 king!

  • @gamedexterity

hey versatile, can i use iso's connected directly to the ps2 in opl v.8? because when i connect my external hard drive to the ps2 and open opl it only shows the games i ripped using usb extreme. not the isos from my "dvd" folder.

  • @samjs721 You have to rename the ISOs. It's in the video.

  • @gamedexterity

ohh ok. that makes sense. thanks a lot.

  • god damnit, when I load my openps2loader it's stuck in the loading. it's with the 0.8 version. I load from hdd, flash and mc, it always crashed. it used to load previously, but now it doesnt.

  • @MisterPikol Reinstall 0.8 then. Try 0.7 to see if same deal or not.

  • Thx alot for the vids it helps alot. I tried it with a usb stick and it works but i better use a real hd in future. There are 3 things i want to know and hope you can help me out. 1.The lag in the fmv scenes in Games will always stay even in real hds? 2. Is it possible to install both open ps2 loader 07 & 08? 03. And last thing is is it possible to load Backup PSX Games or NTSC Games.

  • @htdmc2010 1) Yes, its awesome with fat ps2. I made a tutorial on this. 2) Yes. 3) Only for ps2 slims. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity

thx alot for the answers. i renamed the open ps2 loader 0.8 and it works thou i agree open ps2 loader 0.7 works better. Just to clearify it i meant with real HDs not internal but external HDs.. Yeah my english isn`t so good. I guess the lag will stay as far as i read into it.

  • A few days ago I had this working fine with Grandia III. Today I go to load it up and it isn't showing up in the games list. I haven't changed anything, I re-checked every single setting I had last time and have retried six times making sure I'm doing everything right. No games are showing up.

Yes, I have a primary Fat32 partition, every IP address is set correctly, I have a crossover cable connected, and like I said, It was working a couple days ago. Any help?

  • @Mmmathers4 It makes no sense. Rerip the game then.-Versatile

  • OPL isnt seeing any games on my external hdd, I have tried placing them on the root of my ext hdd, in a folder name DVD, and also in PS2_GAMES>DVD, tried all three sources and OPL still isn't seeing my ISOs, how am I suppose to place my ISO so that OPL will see them?

  • @pyroblage Rewatch the video. Put the ISO files in the DVD folder, and rename them per the name of the game. -Versatile

  • What is the difference between making the Dvd to an ISO or a 01, 02, or 03 files... so basicly my question is what is the real difference between useing USBextreme vs USBUtil 2.0. Dose one better then the other in any way? Which would you reccomend or prefer

  • @pyroblage There is no difference. My preference is to use USBExtreme since the gui is nicer. - Versatile

  • So would it work if I had an ISO and just drag and drop it somewhere on my PS2 then play it on my PS2? or dose it need to be in a specific folder name/directory

  • @pyroblage You need to rename the iso as the name of the game. See the opl v.8 tutorial. -Versatile

  • plz help ..i can only play the Networked games ...and I can't play the games when I plug it in.(the game show up but when I launch it stops on color (yellow)

  • @TheShak1911 Defrag the games and try again. -Versatile

  • Well i used both usbutil and usbextreme but the game video lags did i do something wrong

  • @gamingfireless Defrag. -Versatile

  • Is there a way to trim the game iso to less than 4 gigs? The iso I have is 4.03 gigs, JUST over the 4 gig limit for fat 32. I don't think opl can use ntfs (can it?) so I was wondering if there is a way to trim a ps2 iso like you trim Wii Isos

If anyone can help, it would be MUCH appreciated!

  • @Badachelli Format drive as NTFS. Then use USB Extreme to format the drive. Now rip your game, and life is good. -Versatile

  • Hey thanks for the tutorial, i did it and everything runs smoothly, but i have a problem, i have some ntsc games which are annoying to play and when i patch them to Pal they don't work, i also have swap magic but burning games to a dvd kinda defeats the whole purpose of doing all of this, do you know a method i can use to change the ntsc to pal and vice versa like swap magic but in the network games?.

  • @ALEXtilionx That I dont know. Consult psx-scene. -Versatile

  • @gamedexterity oh nevermind i've already solve it, =P apparently my tv can switch between Pal and ntsc modes =S i had no idea.

  • I have 40 different games/ISOs with the GameID "PBPX_952.01" . I know that this GameID has been put there from Paradox when they patched the games... The problem is that I want those games to show correctly in OPL in order to play them. Can you please give me some instructions of how to change their gameIDs with the original ones so as to be correctly viewable and playable in OPL ? Thanks in advance !

  • @Alkis30 Rename the file name in Windows Explorer with the correct SLUS_XXXX number. -Versatile

  • Just that ? What about changing SYSTEM.CNF with notepad and the elf file inside ISO ?

  • @Alkis30 That's it. Nothing else. -Versatile

  • They are viewable but not playable in that way... the GameID inside the ISO has to be changed in some way...

  • @Alkis30 That is outside of my league. All games that I rip I have to manually name the ISO myself. If you got to name the gameID inside the ISO, then may god have mercy on your soul. You got a lot of backbreaking pain ahead of you. Go to PSX-scene forums for help. Or just rip the games using the NON-ISO format and be done with it. - Versatile

  • tifityve tifiyve tifityve zero :-)

    great tutorials dude

  • thanks

  • Ohye I also tried usbutilget an error but then I get an error when it's finished, so I thought I would try another game (haven't tried usbutil with the new game yet goin to do that now.)

  • @theheavysoldier Let's start very simple. Use a 30GB partition, format it ntfs, then usbextreme format, then rip it, then use usb with opl v.8. If .8 doesnt like it, use .7

  • @gamedexterity Well you see, my problem isn't really that cause I tried another Silent Hill and that works fine.

The problem is that when I go onto my PS2 and open "Open PS2 Loader" then start the Device (USB or SMB) the games won't show up. I tried ISO and the Game format (USBUtil / USBExtreme)

I am using a slim so I can try the HDD (internal) way.

  • I tried via USB and SMB but in both cases the games won't show up in the gamelist inside opl. I use usbextreme to format my hdd and install games onto my hdd. So i'm kind of stuck...

  • 0.7 works great for me, but 0.8 only has a list of settings and options, no games or anything

  • @bryant1425 You need to scroll to the right to the USB or Game section!!!!!!!

  • @gamedexterity It wouldn't let me scroll at all at first, so I was stuck on the menu screen, but it seems to be working now. Thanks

  • You scream to much :( my ears hurt

  • not very clear

  • @capj4zombieglitcher It's clear to me, and its clear to other users. - Versatile

  • wait how did u connect the open loader to yr computer??

  • @BorisGerard Using the SMB method. - Versatile

  • ( 4:10 ) Network Connection: Wireless Connection: JesusNeedsNoTools #OMG

    xD

  • @SubjektDelta I love that SSID. I still have it up right now under that name, rofl! - Versatile

  • i would like to ask you if this method works on a fat ps2 model???? i have already installef mcboot and open ps2 loader and i want to ask you before i buy an external hard drive!!!! :)

  • @PlannerTerry Yes, it works for both fat and slim. I do it on both man, its sick as hell. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity thank you you are great and you have done grat job, of course it is great having all your games on a hard drive, i would like to ask you one last question , i am planning to use an enclouser case to put in an old hard drive (which was internal) to use it with open ps2 loader , do you think it is going to work??? with respect!!!

  • @PlannerTerry Yes, because I am doing that right now. See my usb ps2 video where I show off different devices. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity i am sorry but i want to ask you one last thing my ps2 is a fat model (SCPH-50004) i bought it at 2004, i hope it is going to work properly with opl and the USB HD, isnt it????????

  • @PlannerTerry Yes, that is a great model to work with. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity , Versatile thnk you for your guidance , tomorrow i am on my way to buy a HDD to complete this project!! Nevertheless, this morning i put a game ripped with USB Util. on 4GB usb stick (FAT32), then i open opes ps2 loader and it showned the game on the list , i pressed x and the loading stopped on a green loading screen. The only reason why i asume this might happened is because there is a huge difference in transfering data between a HDD and an USB stick. Whats your opinion????

  • @PlannerTerry Yes and no. I don't recommend usb sticks in general, as you will kill off the stick and it has very slow read and write speeds. Some games may just hang, but I find that a HDD will help greatly. In addition, I found some games where they don't work well through USB (hanging at a color), but loads perfectly from SMB. Another test is patch the ISO with ESR launcher and then use ESR to boot it. - Versatile

  • Would it be possible to connect my ethernet cable straight to my laptop?

  • @WolfenNights Crossover cable yes. Using router yes. Regular ethernet cable between laptop and ps2? No, get a crossover cable. Buy one at monoprice website. I have a video on monoprice with dirt cheap prices on crossover cables. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity I figured it out by googling "using laptop as a router." You go to "change adapter settings", right click your main internet connection, go to properties, click the sharing tab, and tick the box that says "allow other users to connect using this internet connection."

  • hey dude, i cant seem to get it to work through a router, what is the ip setup suppose to be for the router? noting seems to be working

  • @xavis75211 When using router, the router gives the IP address to the PS2 slim. You setup the IP address for the slim already, so you just need to double check your PC ip address. - Versatile

  • thx 4 da awesome tutorial. :P

    But i've a problem..

    i 've a 500gb samsung diamond II external hdd i.e usb powered(using Y cable)

i installed Punisher and it worked fine but after tht i installed GOW II and Sonic unleashed and both of these games were hanging alot.

i defragmented my hard drive using power defragler but again the same prob.

then i installed killzone and it also didn't wrk i.e hangs alot.

i knw most of usb powered hdds don't wrk but then how come i ws able to play Punisher?

  • @Ghayyurious9 I was wrong when I made this video. I made a new video that shows that USB hard drives do work. Perhaps try playing from SMB then? - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity ok i'll try SMB.....

  • An excellent little guide. I didn't even know about OPL before today; just been using USB Advance (which kind of sucks). I love running games via USB because of the convenience, but the PS2's slow USB 1.1 ports tend to make loading times longer (sometimes insufferably so). Does running a game via network cut down on the lag at all?

  • Sorry, never mind. I watched your SMB guide. Kind of an obvious question anyway; everything's faster than USB 1.1...

  • Comment removed

  • @lBonaCl Not sure why you removed your comment, but it was a good one to share with the community. I have shared a game folder on my NTFS drive, and surprise, I didn't have to type any passwords. I don't know if it should or shouldn't work that way, but I'm not complaining. Good luck! - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity I tried to make it a bit cleaner. The password is usually needed with Windows sharing, so I told to put a password to prevent problems.

" You can use NTFS, but you have to put your username and password to the Open PS2 Loader settings which you use at your own computer. Notice: Your user account must have a password or else it won't work. Also you have to add your user to the shared folder's sharing permissions like seen at 5:00. This because NTFS is more secure than Fat32. "

  • @lBonaCl Adding it to more info section now. Thanks! - Versatile

  • Excellent tutorial, though I am confused about one thing. If the hard drive has to be FAT32 then how do you copy ISOs that are bigger than 4 gigs?

  • @Nalmontes The usbextreme program is smart to break it up into 4 gb chunks. - Versatile

  • wow,have u ever breath? :D

  • @MrRizgee Yea, that was a hardcore video. I wanted to cram it into one video with a lot of information. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity Thank you for tutos!

does it matters ripping the game off an original disc

what if I used a burned disc, would that work?

  • @zakimad1 Still works. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity

I meant ripping the backup from burned discs?, some of my originals scratched

  • I did everything. 0.7 finds my network games instantly.

0.8 either isnt loading the list or isnt finding it.

I have it set up the same as 0.7. I really want to use 0.8 but it refuses to find the games.

  • @unit3727 .8 is same setup as .7. Using ISOs or USBExtreme format? - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity It is using the usb format where they are ul or something

  • @unit3727 Use that format, its a good one. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity Yeah but .8 doesn't detect any games. Thats my main problem...

  • @unit3727 .7 worked with .ul, but the second you went to .8, it didn't see jack squat? Time to go to psx-scene and ask the creators. They will know something that I don't. - Versatile

  • @unit3727 Having the same problem. Did you figure it out? In the meantime I'll just stick with .7 I guess

  • @bryant1425 I wish I knew. Are you using UL format, or the ISO format? If ISO, then you got to rename the files differently. My OPL v.8 recognized my games, the same games I used for OPL v.7. Ask the gurus at the psx-scene forum, they made it. Maybe they know. - Versatile

  • @bryant1425 Yes. The shared folder had it on read/write. Not just read. That fixed my problem.

  • do i have to copy the OPL v 0.8 into my USB hardrive...nd can their be any other files like songs and movies...????

and wat about free mcboot...i fave the ELF file of it noobie package do i have to copy it to my HDD!!??

  • @lilfreakeeshan There are many ways of doing this. This is what I do, I have all the .elf files on my memory card because I launch them through the FMCB. The real hard drive itself doesn't need to have .elf files at all. Yes, you can keep your data on your hard drive and mix it together, especially if you want to use SMS player. - Versatile

  • Hi Versatile, I really hope you can help me. I Did everything you did in the video, I installed a game which does work on my USb device, but it won't show up when start the Network games device.

    ~Rockfr3ak

  • @RockFr3ak I will warn you right now, network play can be a massive headache if network settings are not done right. Too many unknown variables. If you did what I did in the video (crossover cable or router method), there cannot be failure. Make sure you can ping the PS2, if you can, then you are halfway to success! - Versatile

  • OK. I successfully played some .iso games through network (SMB). But what about the .bin ones ? I have lots of them and I want to play them with OPL. Is it safe to simply rename the .bin extension to .iso ?

  • @Alkis30 No, it doesn't work that way. One way to do it is to mount the bin file using daemon tools, and then rip the game to ISO format. - Versatile

  • OK I will mount the .bin file in Daemon Tools. Then what program should I use to rip it in .iso format ?

  • @Alkis30 ImgBurn will do the trick. - Versatile

  • OK then. I will mount the .bin file in Daemon Tools. Then what software should I use to rip it in .iso format ? I also wanted to tell that my .isos are in an NTFS disk in my Windows PC and they play fine in OPL 0.8 !

  • @Alkis30 You can use IMGBURN or DVD Decrypter to rip to ISO.

  • do i have to use a hard drive? ive been trying to use an 8gb falsh drive (my mp3 player) but it won't work, it sees the games but every time i try to load them it just goes to a white screen :(

  • @devilmaycry6400 Those type of devices is very weird. You need to defrag the flash player then. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity defrag didn't work (i did finaly get a flash of green though, for about 10 sec.) , maybe i should try my camera, that's an sd card so i can format it better (mp3 player always adds extra folders)

  • @gamedexterity i tryed it with my camera and it worked, dont know how or why and dont really care. i got swbfii backed up! thank god!

  • This cleared it up thanks, that tutorial from the OPL psz scene site was very confusing.

  • I did everything, I initialize the network device, but there's no game

I have my ethernet cable plugged

    I put the same I.P , Subnet

    I use FAT32 Logical Partition

I used USBUTIL in I.S.O to dvd folder on my drive

I tried OPL 0.8 0.7, Still doesn't read my Iso through network :'(

  • @JoeTheBobo123 Router or direct connection? - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity It's ok, I made it work, thank you so much for the video by the way.

  • @JoeTheBobo123 Primary.. active partition..

  • @mareloovorster1 Doing this through router or direct connection between console and computer? - Versatile

  • i followed your guide and like some i still could not get it to work over the network on ntfs

what i did to finally get it to work was create a new user account named ps2 with pass ps2 and gave the account permission to access the main PS2SMB folder and after a reboot my games finally showed up.. figured id post this to help someone

btw im in win 7 32bit and the games were re-named properly and in the correct dvd and cd folders and they didnt show up until i made the extra account

  • @SuperStigg

i forgot to mention that i set the network setting in opl .8 to log into the ps2 account

  • you talk to fast, period, if you wanna explain something then please make two part videos if you are afraid of running out of time

  • @LukeHawkins02 Some people understand it fine, and some don't. The problem is I cannot win. I have done two part videos in the past and people get pissed because I talk too much. If I do one "short" video, I still get people who are pissed because I didn't explain enough. This video is a good compromise. Just watch it over again until it is clear in your mind what needs to be done. Plus, this is what comments are for. Thanks for your feedback!- Versatile

  • @gamedexterity Fair enough :) just saying, i am a person that is inspired by you and i do videos as well on tutorials , and it is best to talk most about the subject because it will save a lot of people trouble in the long run :) but there a lot of impatient people in the world and as you said, you cannot win, but thanks anyways, i realised i was using an ethernet cable and not a cross-over cable ;o and i can't be bothered running an ethernet to my ps2 :')

  • Okay, i followed all the instructions, Installed OPL, connected the ps2 to router and the router to PC,The Ip assigned to my pc is 192.168.0.100, i typed this into the network settings ... and followed your tutorial exactly.

Allowed Filesharing and named the Volume PS2SMB and Enabled file Sharing and gave the name PS2SMB like you said.

Formatted the Volume with the USBextreme and Installed a game to it via USBextreme, but still the games weren't showing up in OPL, tried both 0.7 and 0.8 :\

  • @abnoxiux Not good enough. Did it make a .cfg file? We should start simple. Put the games on a flash drive or USB external hard drive, and verify game rip is good, then we will worry about the SMB later. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity okay the game showed when i wasn't using the network method, simply connecting the External Hard drive, did the thing, but the game didn't run properly, white screen showed up after a few other colored screens, oh and btw i got the crossover cable, followed exactly all the steps, still on network the games won't show :S, tried opl v0.7 and opl v0.8 ... still no luck, i guess some tweaking at the LAN/Networking properties needs taking care of, but i'm clueless. :D

  • @abnoxiux Defrag the game. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity I actually did that, but the game didn't show on network games list.

  • @abnoxiux We need to make sure it ripped correctly to the .cfg file. Please confirm. Use UL_INSTALL.EXE if you must. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity Okay, the game was ripped perfectly and i got the fix, my mistake or 'ignorance' was that i didn't rename the Game as , SLUS.678.45.WHATEVER_THE_GAME.iso, and OPL V 0.8 wasn't picking it up :/ but i learned of it, i renamed the game iso's as that and it SHOWED UP xD AWESOME! and it wasn't the defraging .. but actually that i deleted the ul_install files and just placed DVD iso rips in the DVD folder and formatted the system as NTFS file system and now it works like a charm, Thanks

  • @gamedexterity I think you already know but still OPL V 0.8 can work with NTFS and FAT32 formats, like i have games that are like +4GB's so Iso's weren't being read, and i didn't want all those stupid .001,.002 etc files on my drive, i just prefer the dvd iso rips... cleaner and awesomer, atleast uptill now all the games i've been trying have worked on the NTFS so yeah cool, add the part where you rename the file correctly Voila, dudes like me wouldn't get confused or anything :D Thanks anyway.

  • I'm more into using my Wireless Router to get the job done of the crossover cable :/

i'll just share the Folder over the network ... :/ right? that should get the job done?right?

  • @abnoxiux What? If you have crossover cable, then NO need for router. - Versatile

  • I can't seem to get my 8 gig cruzer to work with this. Help?

  • @MrDuskye Format it as FAT32. Then rip your games to it using usbextreme. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity

Done that, it won't read on usbextreme.

  • @MrDuskye No worries. Please go old school and use the UL_INSTALL.exe method now. - Versatile

  • @gamedexterity

Tried that too, won't work either.

  • @MrDuskye It does't make sense at all. Either program makes the ul.cfg file and rips the game to this external thumb drive, right? In my other PS2 video, I used a simple 2GB Kingston drive, and I was able to rip games to it. Last resort is use an external hard drive, or go the SMB method if you can. - Versatile
