i believe this part would be a little easier when you had the Jet black whip (for dealing dark/shadow damage) and the Holy Armor, but tried to beat him as soon as these sisters could prepare it... Still not as frustrating as fighting dracula while playing with richter-maria.

@Vengeance19 Master the Cream Pie subweapon, and you can hit Richter from afar a lot, much better than trying to whip him.

I did it the old school way. Shuriken and a lot of jumping.

The most people think Richter is the strongest because Alucard said it in SOTN but thats bullshit. Look in Aria of Sorrow, when he used Grand Cross, he ripped the half Castle in the background away, okay, not the best argument.

This dude was fucking hard before you learned how to fight him. Especially if you didn't exploit pies or that one dumb ai thing he does. Other than that the boss has no patterns. Truly what it should feel like to fight the power of a Belmont.

@MajBlood He has one pattern: to use the whip any time you get close. The only way you can exploit that is by not getting close because it HURTS.

@Kingofevil565 neither does richter. By the end of rondo of blood and the beginning of symphony of the night, item crush was strictly optional. If you wanted to punch down a castle wall as richter, you pretty much could.

Played Order of Ecclesia?

Feels more like Symphony, but improved in a lot of areas.

IGAs' gothic art style is back, along with an increased difficulty from the previous two DS titles.

@MattTheSpratt yea order of ecclesia was ok but i ddnt like the story i felt they just threw something together and as of difficulty it was just like playing sotn as richter u know sorry amounts of hp but the glyph system is pretty cool still circle of the moon is the best for handheld castlevania that and legends

Portrait of Ruin is my favorite Castlevania game, tieing with Symphony of the Night. The best part is it's a DS game! That's what truly surprised me. Not saying it's a bad system, but the GBA was way more enjoyable for me. Although 358/2 Days and Bowser's Inside Story might just change that =)

In The Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin That I have, Had a Type-o Instead of Richter The Name was Misspelled as Richiter when the game offered an alternative character to Play with after you finished the original story. Yes I found an "I" In Between "C" and "H" of Richter's name.
