The 80s was great , They didnt use the F word or sing about killing to get a person to love the song . Today they dont know what ture ( Rock and Roll ) means ............
Great debate. You guys crack me up.The Mr Rogers I remember was kind of lame. Like what the cool kids watch if they really need to take a nap. Which I really kind of need, because I don't think I can watch the lame guy until I find this new Paul Rogers one. "Help Me Rhonda! Yeah get her out of my heart" lol. U totally crack me up!
@lsufanjoe funny you say this. I just watched Paul Rogers on That Metal Show last week and he said when they do the older stuff they've speeded it up some because he feels like they were always too slow.
@jrfarley11 Way off, Paul Rodgers is one of the top 3 front men of all time and MADE Bad Company what they are in rock history......Brian Howe is good, but let's not go overboard with this...... when it comes to Bad Company, it's Paul Rodgers, then the other guy pretty much.....and I like Howe too
this is what a rock song is supposed to sound like. freaking A! saw this guy head "bad company" at brandts harley in wabash indiana for free. sounded just as good as 20 years ago.
I Have To Disagree with the last tag, I think not all the songs on this album are great, but it's got three good songs. Holy Water doenn't get it's obvious hit song airplay, and it's too bad...
You guys don't get near enough airplay for this song, and that's a travesty!!! This song sounds great now as it did back then, and will stand the test of time, believe me!!!
Bad-ass rock song. The smokin' hot wet chick writhing and squirming while getting drenched doesn't hurt either.
This song was big when I met this other smokin' hot chick, I sang it to her and now we've been married for two decades. Now I like to make her laugh right after the line "You were all I ever wanted/Never had a girl in my life till I met you," when he says "No no no," by inserting instead the words "I was gay." Works every time!
this lineup was kickass!!! Paul Rogers was great by all means but this lineup has a real crisp sound and how did they find 2 great singers.. Very rare.
This CD is absolutely amazing, every song rocks. I remember meeting or actually running into Brian Howe when I lived in Ft. Myers and he lived in Lehigh...shocked the crap out of me! What awesome talent.
I remember when this album came out, I couldnt get to the store fast enough to buy it. The whole album rocks! This is when music was great rock and roll! Brian Howe is simply awesome!
I think they should of just changed their band name when Brian Howe was singing and started fresh. That being said I prefer this era of Bad Company over the Paul Rodgers era.
@vetteking2 Just like queen featuring Paul Rogers is NOT queen. I agree with you. The only band to successfully switch vocalists was "Van Hagar" lol, but most people disagree with that.. maybe it's cause I think Dave's a dick? haha.
@KrJtAngel im sure dave thinks your a dick just like all the other criticts but the reality is that if eddie would listen once in awhile the 84 albume would have came out in 79 or 80 but no he didnt think it was good enough what really should have happen was best of both worlds is that dave and sammy sing sammy already rocked when he joined van halen it was a ten year ride
This is totally an awesome song. I too like both Paul Rogers and Brian Howe, but this entire album rocks! Great video! I almost forgot about this one!
Yep...in just twenty more years the retirement homes will be filled with this music. ROCK-N-ROLL!!!! (I'm fifty-one) But wait! In fifty more years they will be filled with hip-hop and grunge music.
What a shame. The thing is most classic rock stations around the country are run by baby boomers who are stuck in the 60's and 70's
[which I love of course] but naturally rebelled against most music that came out of the 80's with the exception of a few. Def leppard is an interesting case of this. Pyromania is considered classic rock while Hysteria is considered more hair metal. Mick Ralphs said he never liked this version of the band which is a real snub to Brian Howe's contribution!
What a great tune n LP/CD from the new old 'Bad Co.!!! Really liked 'No Smoke Without Fire' also. Listened to both 100's of times. Caught this lineup live a few times also back in the 90's. Thx 4 sharing.
Bad Company would have become even badder if the band would have embraced the fresh, new , and awesome sound that Brian Howe provided for them, I've always loved B.C., but Holy Water,One Night, No smoke without a fire , and if you needed somebody rivals, or bests anything that the original B.C. ever did
@70sforever1 Great question, but probably has something to do with the fact that a lot of people are listening to (c)Rap?...not even the old Badco had anything on THIS CD...good stuff.
see bad company & damn yankee 3 time in OOB ,maine outside in a baseball park they still got it going on they where better evey thime they put on there show LOVE THEN GUYS
Don't even start this Paul vs. Brian garbage. I enjoy both, albeit Brian a bit more. However, were it not for Paul and what he did with/for Bad Co. we likely wouldn't know who Brian Howe is today...uh...what has he done solo??? Would I recognize it?
@Rockin2222 ....die hard Ted Nugent fans may recall Brian doing lead vocals on a few tunes for him....Tied Up In Love is the main one that comes to mind....I like the original bad Co. but prefer this lineup as I really like the vocals of Howe better....it's all a matter of opinion as both guys made their mark with the band in different eras.
@Rockin2222 I met Ted Nugent about 20 years ago and seen him a few times later I have a friend who knew him in School..every time I saw him I would pull out my NRA card lifer...been to his ranch shooting our bows and our rifles.. damn good yanky.

@interveningangel You are 100% right!!! This song definately Rocks!!! Wish they would play this on the radio today. But whatever, at least we can check it out on YouTube.
Why don't we all just stop bitching and agree that both singers have they're own unique talents. also i definitly plan to go see Brian howe perform this weekend. hell yeah
paul rodgers is the friggin man. What an insult to compare this guy to him. You must not know paul if u would say such nonsense. This guy can sing but paul is a legend.
personally Howe is the only lead singer for me in BC...it's that combo of the bigger guitars, bigger choruses...catchier tunes...this line up is the only BC line up i listen to...thanks for posting!
Granted, Paul Rogers is very good, but he couldn't sing this song as well as Brian can. I dare you Paul to sing it in concert! Double dare! Triple dare! The Bad Co live album/CD with Brian showed he could sing your songs. Prove you can sing his! Prove me wrong. Hearing your version would be interesting, much like David-Lee and Sammy.
No fucking way man! BADCO is mick ralphs and simon kirk and BRIAN HOWE!! Fuck no on renaming this great band........They are alot better off with Brian Howe than with whats his face!!! BAD COMPANY featuring BRIAN HOWE!
Needed to hear this song. Absolutely played this CD everyday for months when it first came out. A classic.

paul rodgers is the friggin man.

I appreaciate all comments. Things change, bands changes, this song has been down for years.
I'm a fan, yeah! :)
