There was a pretty cool show on TV where Andrew Bordain visit some chink country restaurant and their specialty was serving cooked guinea pigs and the customer would even to get to choose which guinea pig they were going to eat. The chef would pull it out of the pen, kill it and prepare it.

When I was young, we lived on a farm and had about 10 guinea pigs. When we would let them out of their pen they would all line up like ducks and run around like this. I think it must be some sort of instinct thing, but I'm not sure really why they do it.

No! Don't advise someone to get a harness! Those are horrible and should never be used on a pig. It could cause them to break their spine or seriously injure their backs. Unlike most rodents, they don't have flexible spines.

I did a lot of research about guinea pigs, most people say that they live about 5 to 8 years. I've had 2, they lived 5-6 years. I'm about to get some new guinea pigs, I can't wait! :D
