Awesome, great cover. Just a little advice. Since you only have a one rack tom set up you might want to move your ride cymbal over to where the 2nd rack would be (almost centered)

Although Larry only has one rack and he puts his ride way over so feel free to do whatever you like.

Thanks! And, yes I know about the ride cymbal thing. Check out my newest cover. "Please" I actually moved the ride over a long time ago. It is more of personal preference though. The only problem that I seem to have with it being more in the middle is that it hits my cowbell sometimes and it's just tighter now. But, I've made it work better now.

Larry seems to prefer it over to the side more. I think he's just use to it over there and he has a cowbell as well as a tambourine in the middle too. So it's out of the way. Thanks again!!

What kind of kit and cymbals are you using?

Thanks. It's a Taye Rockpro kit and Paiste pst5 cymbals. So far I have 14" medium hi-hats, 16" medium crash (I think I'm not at home to look so...), 18" full crash, and 20" ride. Then I've got percussion added like cowbell and tambourine and such.

hey not bad kid, but its really hard to cover U2, as well for you as for me, I play guitar, Larry plays extremly clean, this is a good take on it though, but Im affraid its not yet comparable with mister Mullen jr himself. but you'll get there work hard and practice alot.

Well, it is synced up separately. Also, if your talking more about the little break part on the ride cymbal, then there is totally a reason for that. My ipod actually died right there, so I was a little thrown off. I'm playing and all of a sudden there's no music. haha so I just continued the rest because I played it so many times and didn't feel like starting over. But, thank you for your input. Any comment is welcome.

Thank you, he's my favorite drummer. I love playing U2 songs. Larry may use somewhat simple drum beats at times, but he puts alot of heart into them. Meaning he focuses more on accents and dynamics in songs.

Being the drummer of a U2 tribute band myself, I know exactly what you mean. It's not all about fancy drum patterns, but it's all about the way they are played. And not many drummers get that right. But you do :)

Well, in a sense, tribute bands are a bit like you: they make the music they love most and then show it to the public. For us, it's a real challenge to get things right :)

You should try to get some other U2 minded musicians to form a band. It's more fun than playing along with a cd.

Well, I'm not sure what site you should look on....but, if it helps you, I didn't have some track without the sound of the drums. It's just the original track that I played to. I just balanced my audio to somewhat match the audio volume of the drums in the track. Sorry if I can't help you there.
