  • anybody got the full live recording?

  • Time lapse consortium ft. Brandon Boyd?

it's more like Incubus excluding Dj Kilmore

  • wait i thought the only performance they ever did was at the roxy theatre. they did one on tv? and was brandon boyd at the roxy theatre performance to sing this song?

  • look! brandon wears a shirt!!

  • i wonder if it was weird for brandon to not be asked by mike to play some kind of instruament haha I bet he felt a tad bit left out.

  • i thought i was going to hear the real version.. this is still awesome

  • when was this.....anyone

  • @RHCPFitz---- k thanx

  • @RHCPFitz thanx

  • muito foda \o/

  • Nice to hear a medley version of this. . .but I love the original too. . .Whenever i feel banging my head, i listen to the original, whenever i wanna relax, i listen to this. . .truly a work of ART. . .

  • there is no one great band, everyone has different tastes in music. but incubus is amazing. :D

  • incubus > the mars volta but they are good xD

  • @violetoctohedron Yeah on the program i saw an interview with him ande Nick Hexum from 311

  • @Niblazed your an idiot... this is awesome not blasphemous

  • @AsianAbuser Incubus>Everything

  • and imagine if they played the original version, that presenter would have just been blown away lol

  • incubus>foo fighters

  • @AsianAbuser i think what you mean is incubus = foo fighters, in terms of greatest bands ever

  • @AsianAbuser the mars volta>incubus

  • @gudgey098 if you had said the omar rodriquez-lopez group, i would've respected your opinion.

  • This is just blasphemous.

  • is this the version off the album?

  • @zausS4L

No, the album version is more in the genre of their Funk Metal days. Though if you get the Monuments and Melodies double CD they have an acoustic version of this song and that is pretty good though not quite as good as this if you like this for it's Jazziness.

  • @Bartholomule01 i meant the time lapse consortium album not the incubus version. & i realised that the album is at the roxy theatre or whatever so no its not :)

the SCIENCE version, this one & the acoustic are all amazing <3

  • @zausS4L this one and the acoustic sound pretty similar don't they? this one just has more instrumentation

  • so romantic. :)

  • wake up man

  • Best version.

  • q buena onda

  • i love this version as well but no way does it beat the original!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that Dirk at 4:25?

  • @TheFretDancer That is totally not Dirk.

  • @TheFretDancer Doubtful but last I heard he was working for a gaming radio station network thing.

  • I hope that all of you are aware that they played the jazz version of this song way before time lapse consortium....

  • jajajaja ;-)

  • I love the way how "A Certain Shade of Green" can be so versatile. Hard on Incubus' side, and soft on TLC's side.

  • ben is on bass.. brandon on vocals... mike on guitar... jose on drums and kilmore spinning... no matter what they call it or who they add to the band that is and always will be incubus

  • I couldnt agree more :)

  • WildBillHickums, dude he still does, but this version of this song doesnt call for that shit haha

  • omg... epic... his vocals when he went up an octave were outstanding!

  • Almost exclusively because of that, this is my favorite version of this song.

  • lol lounge

  • They are so versatile and have great strength and maturity as a band (even though this isn't Incubus). They're acoustic live version of this is nice as Incubus

  • yes this is incubus dude... how could you think that this is anyone else??

  • Actually, it's Time Lapse Consortium, a band that Mike founded after Incubus took a break from making new music.after Morning View in 2001. Mike's desire to always want to do big band music was his motivtion. Every member but two are in the group except for Brandon and Killmore

  • Yeah Mike plays a jazzmaster :) Sounds pretty rippin' on it too.

  • I think that's his vintage Jazzmaster, he plays reissues now a days, but I believe this is one is the vintage one, because the headstock is white like the body.

  • That was so fuckin' cool!

  • fender jaguar?

  • Nopeeee, Totally looks like a Jazzmaster to me. I can't tell though, but Jazz's tend to have the soapbars.

  • Brandon boyd's stage presence has changed, it was cool when he did the grungesque jumping and head slamming

  • please read below :) it's not incubus ;)

  • incubus are fucking great

  • @brokehart Is*

  • yes brilliant amazing wonderful

  • i thought he was playing bass in the band .. the guy at 4:25 is a random dude in the crowd

  • nop, not him

  • The day of this performance is actually the day they made the official announcement that he was out of the band.

    So yeah, not him.

  • THAT WAS FUCKING MINT

  • great band. i hope mike can revamp this side project.

  • 1:30 - 4:59 = great :)

  • nice :)

  • they are the best!

  • very good jazz version :) great band :) po prostu świetne:)

  • Okay so Incubus basically collaborates with an orchestra to create a soft, jazzy remix of one of their hardest rock songs...brilliant!

  • no no, mike writes all the music its his band, no collaborations

  • Mike isn't the only one Brandon writes it to, and it's Mike's band, It no one's It's Incubus.

  • Brandon isnt in the Band, Its mike ben jose and a giant orchestra brandon does not normally play with them, there are normally no words koala toast that

  • I'm sorry I didn't know that Time-Lapse Consortium, was there band. I just saw Certain Shade of Green which infact is an Incubus song, and Brandon Boyd singing, and obviously thought It was Incubus... I made a mistake.

  • Love the sound waves that Incubus form

  • I love both versions of the song, but I think the original is still better. I wish they would play the slower version at the start, and after the first chorus they would change it to the faster one. That would be awesome!

  • brandons vocals are awesome! perfect

  • I started to listen to some live songs from them and from this song in a time lapse c. consert. Hes 1 of the most stable singers ive heard, Brandon is almost flawless live :D excellent singer

  • if you like this watch the acoustic version from their volume 2 dvd. my fav version

  • Wow, I love both versions, this jazzy one and the heavy funk original. Such a different vibe from each one, but both are really fantastic!

  • Wow :)

  • Now this is some good stuff.

  • mike fucking rocks!

  • Actually, the time-lapse consortium project was only a couple perfomances at the roxy, it was most of it instrumental and jazzy, it was pre-ACLOM but included Ben Kenney at bass guitar when Alex was the official Incubus bass player

  • Do you know why did alex left the band?

  • Incubus kept it real quiet for awhile but I think the "official" word was that Dirk stopped contributing to the writing process and instead Mike wrote most of the bass lines for "Morning View" before they called it quits, pretty much the same thing that happened with Dj Lyfe too I believe

  • was this in the a crow left for the murder era? anyone know

  • ya i think it was acually before ACLOTM..but im not 100% sure

  • haha this was way before then. this song is from S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

  • wow im not an idiot he was askin about the performance not when the song came out

  • Don't beat yourself up

    we all make mistakes

  • before crow, this actually occurred on April 3rd of '03 and was the day the band officially released a statement saying dirk would be leaving the band.

so ben kenney's first official performance as incubus' bassist, you could say

  • time lapse consortium is Mike einzigers side project band...more orchestral and jazzy, pretty good shit

  • incubus owns all.

    wtf is Time-Lapse Consortium?

  • This shows how incubus are so versatile and polyvalent .

    They are just MAGICIANS .

  • Original version is much better.

  • mike tyson is an ugly asshole!

  • fender jag gets mad fucking ladies

  • TIME LAPSE CONSORTIUM!!!!

  • Wow. Kick ass fresh performance.

  • Incubus sounds so f**king awesome live!!!

  • they always sound so f***ing awesome anytime! 8)

  • hands down best version of this song

  • haha! awsome!

i like how incubus modifies their own songs

    nice ;D

  • i love mike...einziger.

  • damn amazing version of this...incubus did a version like this also...more of a lounge version rather than the regular heavy version...both amazing versions

  • this is incubus

  • weird as hell hearing it like this

  • great apart from the animal at the start

  • i fucking love it

  • you know tyson is gonna rape/beat up that girl later.... frown.... true though... sorry, now watch the thumbs down come in even though you know its true...

  • This song rocks. I've heard it done acoustically by Incubus, but Time-Lapse Consortium adds a whole different flavor to this awesome track

  • Holy crap, what a version!!! That was so awesome, my favorite added with a higher vocal, perfect... all it needed was Tyson to step up and get knocked the fuck out from his angelic voice... I cant believe i'm a straigh guy and used the term "angelic" but, thats incubus for ya

  • is there a reason he chose the specific year os 2012 ad??

  • 2012 according to the mayan calendar is the year the world will end. i think brandon saw this in a documentary.

  • fender210: ah i see thanks

  • holy crap dude, i never even clicked at that vocal line and i've known that song and that fact since the song was born!! Firstly, stupid me, second... stupid me... damn

  • Yeah, it has something to do with all the prophecies about 2012.. Look it up. It's truly fascinating

  • lildevildawnya: Yeah I actually have done some already. Just reaalized that this song dealt a little with that.. What's your take on it? You believe that something along these lines will occur in 2012?

  • who knows what will happen by that time, anyways "whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there" hehehe...^_^

  • fender210: hehe yeah

  • There is the whole Mayan calendar the depicts the end of the world in 2012.. 20+1+2=23 then there's the whole 23 enigma that plays a big role in that theory. The Mayans believe the world will end December 11th, 2012 --12+11=23 and 20+1+2=23-- look it up its pretty cool

  • yeah, but i think they have different calendar then that christian that we have....for them its different year

  • It's an electric version of the unplugged variation !!!

    Brilliant !!

  • just when i thought this song couldnt get any better

    Incubus rules!

  • :38 Mike Tyson

  • The message in this song is very inspiring.

  • whats it about?

  • I'm pretty sure it's about procrastination and how you control your life and stuff

There could be many things it's about, a girl, a friend or enemy, or even himself but it's basically about not choosing or being reluctant, ecspecially the line "When you procrastinate you choose last"

    Hope that helps :)

  • i think it's about a girl who keeps him on a leash and he just wants her to make up her mind

  • Yea, it's about not waiting for things to just happen in your life. "A Certain Shade of Green" is symbolic of a green light, a sign that you can go. "Are your muscles bound by ropes?" (is there stopping you?). After being an Incubus fan for years now I finally see that Brandon is an awesome writer.

  • This is an excellent variation of this song. Time lapse constm badass.

    Incubus ftw.

  • INCUBUS ROCK'S! :D

  • Yeah, and you just don't, sorry...

  • That's funny as hell!!!

  • "Give it up to that guy"

    Gotta love Brandon.

  • Woo! :D

  • Amazing version. INCUBUS, BEST MUSIC BAND EVER!

  • Lol poor Kilmore.

  • lol after this i had to to litsen to the other version to make sure every thing was ok i dont like this version but its not bad

  • love love love this version!

    *jazz*

  • its like i had a mushroom. but i didnt. or did the well you know. but i didnt.its just so.. ah..

  • great version

    love this song

  • this is another reason why incubus is one of the best bands...so versatile

  • Can u imagine Mike Tyson joining Incubus? LOLOLOL! His face tattoo is nuts.

  • Is this downloadable anywhere?

  • yeah time lapse consortium has a live album. their only album.

  • time lapse is the best funk

  • Incubus is the shit.

  • Hell yeah they are.

  • He was praising you moron.

  • "Incubus is the shit" =/= "Incubus is shit"

  • yea you fucked that up sunnyha

  • woah jimmy kimmel is a fuckin rude prick, mike should have beat his ass.

  • Can't take a joke!

  • This song is about waiting behind someone at a green light, and them not going.

    Badass version too :D

  • lol, thats what i was thinking. once i actually listened to this song it just clicked. plus its something that incubus would write

  • This song goes a bit deeper than that. Notice the line, "Are you gonna stand around til 2012 ad". There's a widespread belief that the world will end in 2012. I think it's about peoples' inaction with regards to global warming. People not changing the things they do that could potentially save us UNTIL it's too late.

  • yea thats true, im sure thats what they meant by that date. But i still think its partly about waiting at a green light. I really hate when people do that

  • i graduae from high school in... 2012 wow im havin a mini freak out great song though

  • i think it's about procrastination in general. i believe they are basically asking "are you going to stand there and remain inactive and procrastinate until the world ends?" again, just my interpretation of an amazing song.

  • Naw. This song's about someone taking action in their life. But yeah this version's dope.

  • You know what... Incubus loves when people have their own interpretations of their songs. It's cool that we each have our own idea of what it's about.

  • ahhh!! i love both versions of this song. and if they made another i would love that one too! incubus pWNS

  • emfo4c kill yo self.

this performance was jesus and everyone knows it

  • I love this songggg. I love this band.

  • love it

  • brandon boyd is hella high in this video

  • That's what I call good music and great musicians
