@comingunstrong Lol, funny trolling. Yeah, this is pretty much TG riffing on I Feel Love, peppered with some Gristleizer noises and exotica percussion.
theres a bloke at the back of my house always d.i y ing , drilling and grinding at weekends. is he industrial music or just a poseur the cunt. i like this melody .
This photo of them is taken at beachy head. Notorious for suicides. Hence the body at their feet on the back of the album cover. In fact, there is a track titled "Beachy Head" on the 20 Jazz Funk Greats album. Check it out. Don't kill yourself just yet.
I rember when ny pal Roy first played this track on the community radio we worked it out, it blew my ming and gave me an eretion. Still does, That time was all about this sort of relentles beat and Kraftwerk and Switched on Bach. Cooming along with Steve Reich and his ilk. It sounds fresh and I still love it. Go Tutti... This and Fripp Exposure go well together.
TG: Keeping the spirit of the experimental electronic music of the 40's, 50's, and 60's alive, and setting the foundations of noise (Hamburger Lady, anyone?), while prefiguring techno at the same!
Okay, that works for me. I do think the entire noise genre as we know it today owes its existence to the breakthroughs of the Industrial scene (along with lots of previous too, of course. The experiments in electronic music into the 70's had a big influence on both genres I think)
Ofcourse, mosto f the sound samples used in Industrial is electro, noize, and large synthtic basslines. Wumpscut and Skinny Puppy toke inpsiration from TG and Carbaret V btw.
Its sound like old detroit techno to me, maybe detroit techno wasn't born in detroit and its real birthplace was Hull UK 1979.

TG are the true inventors of noise.
They did the same stuff in the late 70's what bands like Swans did in the 80's!

its Ambient-industrial not noize.
KillingSpreeFreesBee 3 years ago 6
1. Spell "noise" right
2. I don't care what you call it, it's still noisy, and it's clear all that stuff came out of the experiments in the industrial scene
michealdark 2 years ago
you know nothing about the industrial scene, and no its not noisy.
MagnitudePerson 2 years ago
Hamburger Lady isn't noisy? Really now?
michealdark 2 years ago
its usubjecitve, but its not meant to be noise more than atmospheric sounds.
its Industrial, Dark Ambient, maybe noise elements but its not noise.
Merzbow and some mixes of "Discipline is"
