Jang i know it takes time to get good footage and then compile an insane running video with all kinds of special effects and bling,... but dang this thing is sooooooo cool that it is impossible to wait that long. I hear those servos humming! Warning! ! ! They will be going soon. Traxxas will replace them for free though. That was my only complaint about the truck. It's a wonderful rig. I need to upload my videos of this thing doing what it does. My suggestion. . . Hurry and put a MMM and a 2200kv in it right away. It totally wakes the truck up. And YES it will still "climb" It's no speed demon by any means. However, it is a lot of fun and with all that weight the MMM 2200kv combo suits it well.

@LilPutter For the money, I prefer the Kershaw dual 700 motor upgrade. It adds 16 MPH and tons more torque for only 99.00 and it uses the same ESC.

My reveiw,,,its a TOY, its slow, like walmart toy grade slow,  it rolls over constantly. Great for kids under 8. My 8yr old son said it sucked.. he loves monster trucks.

A summit that can't be the rc in that box in your urc update 6, 2012 the box looked like something a traxxas xo-1 would be in.

Just a fun Summit fact: you can expect up to ~45 minutes run time on 4000 mah batteries, if you crawl around stuff 80% of the time in 1st gear. The 775 motor has enough torque to shred the diff gears if the wheels get stuck in 1st gear! While it sounds efficient compared to the usual 15-20 minutes with Maxx's etc., if you run a good Castle or similar brushless, you can literally double the run time, Again, keeping mostly in 1st gear. A mixed 2nd gear speed run etc. will bring the 45 min. to 20.

And here we are! Did you eat your hat or something, or just decide it looks like too much fun? Just a quick question. I just bought a new E-Maxx brushless edition and my steering servos whined like that also. I ran it twice and one of the two servos stopped working. i took it out and plugged it in and it would get red hot instantly without even trying to turn anything. Do you think traxxas will cover this under warranty or should I just go and buy a new one. Still turns fine with one I just want that raw steering torque you get from dual servos.

@joenitro1985 In my summit manual is mentions how to properly center the servos if they are competing agenst each other. See if you can find that procedure in your manual. If not then Traxxas should cover the servo. Mine were competing really badly and heated up severly after only 5 min of driving so i turned it off and looked in the manual. Sure enough the instructions of how to fis it myself were there and I thought, "Damn little nip didn't set up my stearing servos right!"

@joenitro1985 This sounds like something I had heard on my Summit (dual steering servos). I think the servos are fighting each other to return to center as they might not be perfectly aligned from the factory. I removed most of this noise/chatter from the steering servos by turn on the truck, unhooking one of them and letting it center, then reattaching the control horn back on. Of course it's too late for your 1 servo so ask Traxxas about warranty coverage. Good luck.

@kallistobone its already all wheel drive. Locking the front diffs will give you increased traction while crawling same with locking the rear.

@kallistobone It's simply 4 wheel drive all the time, but you CAN lock the front diff only with the first position of the button, so one wheel does not sleep. Then flip that switch further and both front AND rear diffs lock up, so you have maximum traction (the left wheels will not turn independently to the right wheel as in a normal truck/car).

Welcome Jang to Summit fun.. I am so glad that you got one. I have always wanted you to get one, use it, then start the conversion, going to brushless, and then the creative changes. I have only, and use it for trail running in stock form, and with minor modifications (brushless + p1 rockers + pruple springs + big joes) convert it to the ultimate basher. Fantastic. My future projects include converting it to an e-revo and then perhaps an onroad speedster.
