  • from a time when music comes from the heart .

  • Wow, I didnt know Ted Bundy could sing!

  • @FishNoLegs

    LOL=they do favor a lot!

  • what a treat it is seeing stevie drive an actual car!!!

  • Awesome vid. I don't know where you discovered it but thanks. It was probably the last time Stevie actually drove a car. LOL.

  • I still have this LP... I so loved the California flavor FM and Walter Egan were putting out back then. Still do. And Stevie made them all sound great.

  • Another bit o' trivia...the T-Bird that Ms. Nicks is driving in the video is pictured on the back of the "Not Shy" album...only the "Blonde" in the driver's seat with Walter on the album is Carol Ann Harris, Lindsey Buckingham's post-Stevie girlfriend.

  • Great track from the "Not Shy" album.

  • Wow--never woulda thought there was a video to this obscure track I heard a few times on a weekly local 70s radio program. 2nd only to Mag & Steel for my top WE song.

  • This is after she departed from fleetwood mac

  • @jason75 This is NOT after she departed Fleetwood Mac. Walter's album was done in 1978 -- Stevie, Lindsey, Mick, and John all did some special contributions to this album. Stevie was most prominent throughout the album, and Lindsey assisted with production in addition to playing on it. This was just off the huge success of RUMOURS and before they all sequestered themselves to record TUSK!!

  • @jason75 no!!!

  • stevie's voice was even more prominent on the album cut.

  • Bullshit, Walter is the man !

  • Yeah, that is totally Stevie

  • That is Annie lip syncing, that is Stevie Nicks singing on the actual track...Stevie's vocals are so distinctive...that vibrato is unmistakeable...

  • Annie Mcloone is bad ass!

  • Walter Egan is a bad ass !

  • Walter and Stevie seem pretty lovey-dovey in that car. He must have been boinkin' her back then.

  • @gobbaf lol Stevie and Walter dated, so yeah.

  • I think 38 Special used the vocal melody for Cuaght Up in You....pretty close....Walter Egan rules!!!

  • 'Caught'...oops

  • The lady on stage with the band "singing" harmony is Annie McLoon.Stephanie of course is driving the blue t-bird in the vid.And yes Susanne Sommers was the chick that got Richard Dreyfuss all hot and bothered driving the blue t-bird in American Grafitti.Hope this helps.

  • I haven't seen this since it was on Midnight Special in 1978.

    Thanks for posting.

  • whoa check out stevie's sweet driving skillz

  • I read shortly after the Not Shy album was realeased in 1978 that this song was inspired by the Suzanne Sommers part in American Graffiti. And I recall that it is Stevie Nicks singing backup, not the girl in the video.

  • Stevie Nicks does sing back up and that is her in the video.

  • It's her in the car, but not on stage. My recollection is that the voice on the recording is Stevie's, but the backup singer on stage in the video is not her (i.e. lip-synching.) I hope that clarifies my earlier post.

  • Yeah I don't know who's idea was it to show someone else singing Stevie's part but that was dumb. But it is strange seeing Stevie driving.

  • When the lights go down in the california town.people are in for the evening, I jump into my car and I throw in my guitar, my hearts beating time with my breathing.Driving over Kanon singing to my soul...people out there turning music into gold. John Stewart and stevie nicks sings in the background. I never bother with much new stuff, I'm stuck in the 70's

  • Thanks so much for posting this video. "The Blonde In The Blue T-Bird" is actually the first music video I ever saw! When I was 12 years old and living in Hawaii back in 1978 my friend and I were at a record store in a shopping mall and the clerk played this video on the TV!

  • Wow! so cool! I have this album, I did not even know about the video... Thanks for sharing *S*

  • Stevie had a driver's license at one time, it must have expired shortly after the making of this video. I recall in a recent interview that she wanted to get her license back because she wanted to drive again after all these years. If you happen to own Walter Egan's "Fundamental Roll" Stevie's Mercedes in the cover photo. She's also in the inset photo dressed as a cheerleader. This and the 1st album was produced by Lindsey Buckingham with Stevie providing backing vocals.

  • could someone post magnet and steel? this is also a great song thanks!

  • Great ! Heard about this video, never saw it. But I always thought Stevie had no driverslicense????

  • Why would Stevie have a driver's license anyhow? Lindsey did EVERYTHING else for her.

  • My ass!

Lindsey was and still is a pompous Dickhead to her!

he always treated her like shit!

He's always been jealous of the fact that she is a MUCH better AND succesful singer/performer than him, and has gone so much Farther than he has, so no Lindsey didn't do jackshit for Stevie, so slag off!

  • Maybe because Stevie supported them both by cleaning houses and waiting tables (WORKING) during the time they were trying to get established. Both have stated this to be true. Lindsey was able to concentrate on music during that time. Also, it isn't as if Stevie can't write music herself. She has been successful on her own (I love Lindsey too so I won't compare their solo success -- but it seems you have that's why your statement is just sour grapes).

  • proly doesnt matter either way cos all she did was drive it from point a to point b.

  • wow

and I though I had seen all the music video's that have Stevie in them, guess not

    lol

  • Stevie Nicks driving the car, and that's actually her singing backup vocals...not the girl in the band.
