I hate seeing brilliant musicians videos with such low views. It really shows where music is at with the general population when incredible musicians with innovative musical ideas get such low views - while Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video has something like 300 million views. i remember seeing a video where Paul Gilbert called Lane, "the most terrifying guy of all time." this video is a huge reminder of that fact

Perfect video to portray how insane the guy was. He's equally brilliant in both technique and inspiration fields, on both instruments. The end of the guitar solo clearly demonstrate that Shawn had no equal and up to now, nobody has come close to his level.. Thanx for posting..

So... Shawn is where Brian Carroll (Buckethead) learned those licks! I'm referring to 2:46, 2:54, and especially 3:48! I know Shawn was one of Brian's many guitar teachers, but I had always wondered what techniques Shawn had taught him. This video probably answered some of that question! Hats off to the poster of this video! Continued RIP to Shawn Lane!
