"But Daddy only has it every second Wednesday of the month" Number 96 was a really raunchy show on Australian Television at the time. "Think of a number he says, and if you get it wrong get your gear off! He's always right!"
"So you have muesli with him more often?"
"Fish fingers" -- a reference to "digital penetration".
@shravanbhat Her husband came from Pakistan, as I recall. Her daughter had a name of similar origin - I think it was Raihana (Kennedy made common mention of it, as this contestant was on the show for several days).
How ya going Col? Are you there, Col? Col? Anyways, Tony 'the moustache twirler ' Connolly said no...N.O., ...NOT ON MY WATCH! But just shove those matchsticks under your eyelids kiddies and it will be bums and tits galore on Australian TV in another hour....
@brismike65 Well she is an actor, and on Number 96 was playing a fictional character. By 1977 96's ratings were in decline, and here on BB she is doing a big plug for 96 and her character by recycling some of that show's comedy. Essentially a cross-promotion.
I saw an episode of Blankety Blanks a few days ago, and it was censored as well. It cut out Stuart Wagstaff's rude word answer and Carol Raye's drawn answer which was "Jewelled Boobs".
That was another minor joke from Number 96. Mummy often cooked Fish Fingers. There's an episode of 96 where two people are eaten by a shark: the preceding scene has Mummy remembering what she wanted to buy for dinner: "Fish Fingers". Then it cuts to the shark attack scene.
Anyone know or have the clip of bees wonder mop? i think it was ugly dave gray saying "womens work is never done". I thought that was classic and so old fashioned
Wait a second, wait a second, wait a BLANKING second. How could this be bleeped in Britain when in America, which we call Match Game '7x, we would let it fly out the mouths of either Brett Summers or Charles Nelson Reilly?
Wendy Blacklock here is lapsing into her character of Edie "Mummy" McDonald in "Number 96". Fishfingers, the 'pick a number' sex game, and references to "Daddy" are all gags from that show.
I zoomed into the footage and examined frame by frame, I made out SE and as she places her card in the slot I made out the X. The show aired at 7pm so that could be the reason. PM me if you want more proof.
Naughty,Naughty!...lol..what a shame we couldn't find out what she really wrote..hehehe...i guess they didn't allow it back then..different era and had it been aired the people only would have only seen the negative side of it and created a massive fuss..oh well.

Don't know why it was censored. It says, "HAVE SEX" on the card. It's not like it said, Masterbate, Oral Sex or Anal. PFFFT !

Wendy I don't know if she was always putting on an act in Number 96 or BB but she seemed to portray an image of being not all there.
