The first doctor I ever watched was Peter Davison because I am in the US and was watching reruns on PBS that is when I first discovered the show it was early 80's and I was 10 or 11 years old. I fell so completely in love with the concept of this show I have stayed devouted too it and anything in regards too it since then. I personally find the best doctors of all time to be in this order

4. Sylvester McCoy

3. Matt Smith

@quikgamer You overlook one vital thing: The nine guys before him weren't Tennant, either. So what. It's not the actor's purpose to be just like the last Doctor, but to add his own spin on things to the mix. In most cases, the Doctors play the part almost like themselves, in some they don't, and in some they're not allowed to (Like Colin Baker, who got really good in the audios, where they let his Doctor be more influenced by himself and all in all become a nicer person.)

Tom baker rules as The Doctor. I reckon the best side kick was Leela and Adric. K9 was cute but tiring. I liked the enemies like the Daleks, Cybermen, Ice Warriors, Sontarens etc. but I grew tired of the Master. I reckon the Doctor should carry a gun. Im thinkin a colt .45 and also a MP40 machine gun wouldn't go astray. Also no ties or bow ties please. By the way, Davros isnt dead. He has a job as a petrol station attendent in Adelaide, Australia. Once in a while he talks about world domination
