@konekoya2008 This video was when CHAGE&ASKA made a live concert in Korea in 2000 as the first Japanese musician. Japanese language songs had been forbidden in Korea till then but President Kim Dae-jung lifted the prohibition for cultural exchange between Korea and Japan. First Lady of the President went on search watching many Japanese artists' concerts, then CHAGE & ASKA was chosen as a goodwill envoy. It is said that they were threatened by haters. So now you can guess why ASKA was crying.
@konekoya2008 You are welcome! Actually I was introduced this video by a friend of mine who devotes all her life to ASKA with those explanations why he was crying. Unfortunately her PC has no comment setting so I did it. Well, additional story ; one of the reason why CHAGE&ASKA was selected as the goodwill envoy was that their fans had a habit tidying up the place after concerts !

thanks for reply. I wish my favorite singer Aska the best in every area of his life. It is sad that we hear about pop star always have problematic life, marriage. May he produce more inspiring positive songs
Thanks for the info. I didn't aware that his son & daughter have already grown up. I'd grown up with his songs too. Can't imagine I've been a fan of Aska for 17 years. Gosh! He's the only one I admire for such a long period! Love Aska forever! ^_^♥
I was at this concert. It was a momentous, perhaps historic occasion. First time a Japanese band were allowed to play live in Korea after decade of cultural tension stemming from the past conflicts between two countries. Chage and Aska was the first band to break new ground between Korean and Japanese cultural exchange. It was emotional. In the end, music prevailed.
I can't say whether there were any personal issue involved. But he read out a letter in Korean, how they are aware of past history and how significant this moment was. He choked up half way, audience cheered him on. They followed it with a song after another.
this song is already touching my soul without any acts but with a picture of that scene this song has become much more meaningful to me... they are the real MR ASIA.

On your mark
