@massacreman3000 Right, because its just so easy to tell a subwoofer bottoming out from mechanical noise, and/or freeair acoustical distortion/microphone distortion. There are so many variables as to you claiming it is bottoming out, it is only to someone who actually heard it to say it was bottoming out.
this thing has more surround than sub so there is really nothing unique about it cause there is lack of surface area meaning the bass is not over shadowing the rattle meaning that what your hearing is the subs rattle not the bass. remember that more excursion is not always better, but if you want good bass with high excursion, use 18s with a 2" surround.
eclipse is garbage but this model is the shit i heard two of them and loved them there very comparable to my 300c jl w7 i run mine to a 1500db rockford so it gets 1000 watts and it sounds great . like ur box and yes what people dont understand that when you can run 1 sub and sounds better and hits harder than some 4 12s this is why we would need a cap because our one subs needs juice lol nice box like the extra draw.
@sal2421 - I went 143.6dB with only one sub - an eclipse Ti 15'' before I had these, yes I was knocking out peeps with 4 12's in suburbans - amazing what the right set up will do, thanks for the compliments

titaniums pound that's for sure. i've never run another type of sub in my main vehicle since my first pair of ti's...had a 15'' that pumped pretty good off 1000+ watts, they need to be fed and able to air out lol. this was the first sub i've ever repaired before so i was cautious and thorough during the process but with the rubber surround not foam i thinks it is better then new.
there is lots of speaker box design programs available. I just can't remember the name of the one I used to spec mine out. Google it and good luck with your build. These 10's like something around 3-3.3cu ft ported. Mass airflow and I would suggest 4'' ports if you can. Good luck.
LOL no, eclipse destroys rockford subs. ask anyone who has used the two, i had a 15" rockford T1 on 650watts rms(bench tested wattage) and 2 months later had a single eclipse 12" titanium and the eclipse was way louder and much crisper on ear and on the meter. same power with a 1.2DB increase. But either way my new sub would shit on both brands subs. custom built OZ power series 18" ready for 4,000rms daily
