  • Well done, you are very good.

  • Very epic! I play this in the background of Rome Total War BI when facing insurmountable odds (such as the combined Ostrogoth and Frankish forces; barbarians at the gates! >:D) Great stuff!

  • This is AWSOME dude! i have the program myself and i cant make anything this good! if you could put together a quick tutorial for me, that would be great. a have a few ones that are cool but not as good as you. is any of this using the MIDI?

  • what version/soundpools did you use man? and where did you get them? Amazing job!

  • E P I C ! ! !

  • awesome ... teen ager expression :)

    But really ... is magic.

  • This is epic! What MAGIX version did you use?

  • this song reminds me of Age Of Mythology game it has similar music :D

  • i don't know if i comment this video, but whatever

  • Impresionante.

  • Vi är många som saknar din musik, hoppas du kommer med någon ny underbar snart :-D

    Hälsningar

  • Hans Zimmer is born ^^

  • Superb piece of music and very evocative of Imperial Rome. If Ridley Scott every makes Gladiator II, bid to make the music for him, I can't see as how he could turn you down. And if it never comes to that, keep us happy on YouTube.

  • till 1:40 it is good. from 1:41 on it is really just excellent.

  • Excellent, this is awesome !

  • dude this is great!!!

  • I LOVE THIS. THIS IS REAL GOOD. AND I THOUGHT MY MOVIE SCORE WAS GOOD. • This is awesome.

  • If i'm ever gonna make a movie, i'm gonna hire you. Seriously. You got some serious talent there. Keep up the good work!

  • You need to keep up the good work and perfect your skills. This is brilliant

  • おk、this is bad ass.

This just motivated me to start messing with composition again lol

  • 5 stars for this incredible performance

  • what soundpacks ?

  • I'm using Magix Soundpools 9, 14 and 15.

  • wow, this is brilliant. are number 9, 14 and 15 still available at magix? My store says that only number 16 was available.... MAGIX has improved:-)

  • Whoops, I actually used Soundpool 11 not 9. Have you checked out the official Magix website? They should have these Soundpools in their online store.

  • Fantastic!!!! wow! i am still surprised!

  • this is a beautiful arrangement... from the foreshawdowing intro... all the stop/starts and again big toms!!!! very well executed...

pls again check out our 1st epic trailer song.... To The Victor.... any and all comments appreciated....

my only suggestion would b that near the end perhap the whole orchestra should play that main theme u established.... in 3 or 4 octaves.... around 3:30-3:35 otherwise its another track waiting 4 an epic battle movie...lol

  • This music really inspires me

  • I just have to say it one more time (did I even say it once?^^):

This is probably the BEST magix-song i've ever heard.

  • Hey thanks man! You're very kind! :)

  • now that's nice, you made it with Magix? I'm gonna have to download that software!

  • fantastic.

  • wow this is amazing is there any way i can download this

  • This song will be featured on my upcoming free album, so stay tuned ;)

  • The keyboard that he uses to create his songs is a Yamaha PSR 900. I own one of these keyboards and I love it. There is actually a keyboard that is better than the Yamaha PSR 900. It is the Yamaha TYROS 3. But the Tyros 3 cost twice as much as the PSR 900.

  • Hey you make some great videos, but I have a few questions.

    1. What do you use the most for this and the pirate song? FL studio or Magix Music Maker. Actually for all your songs which do you use the most, and which do you sugget i get.

    2. Which version of Magix>?

    3. Which is better, Magix or FL

  • Thanks for the comment! :) I use mostly Music Maker to make my songs. Sometimes I compose some additional material with FL Studio, but I use mostly loops. Imperium Aeternum and Pirate's Theme are created entirely with Music Maker. I'm using Music Maker Basic Edition, but the samples are from the Magix Soundpool DVDs. Music Maker is a good software for arranging samples, but FL Studio is a better software for composing songs from scratch.

  • Very good composition. I also often mixed with other styles movie sounds. The result is excellent. 5*

  • im thinking about getting this program...but im not rlly sure if its the right one. im just looking for a program that i can create orchestra music/epic score related genre( if you catch my drift :) that to me is like pure music. if this program has many options prior to making these genres, please tell me!

    thnx~

  • Magix Music Maker is designed mainly for loop-based music creation and it's not the best software for composing songs from scratch. The latest versions of Music Maker have a pretty good selection of orchestra and choir samples, so it's a good choice if you want to make epic music easily. You can also buy Magix Soundpool DVDs to get more samples or use other sample libraries.

  • Could I use this (or maybe Pirate Theme) in a little lego movie I am making? I would put you in the credits.

    Thanks!

  • I would like to post a VIDEO RESPONSE of me playing my keyboard along with your composition. I will be shifting back and forth between strings, french horns, floor tom tom drums, and piano using my Yahama PSR S 900 keyboard. Is that OK with you? I'll just play along with your composition coming out of my computer speakers. My video will show your YouTube screen and pan back and forth over to me at the keyboard, and back to your video.

  • Sure, that's ok. It would be very interesting to hear that :)

  • I got my keyboard out and played along with your composition. This is composed in the key of Em. Most of the time you are on an Em chord, but occassionally you shift over to an Am chord. Half way through this composition when you come to the piano part you transition between Em chord and B7 chord.

This is a very simple chord progression. It's amazing that it's the voices and the drums that really make this song great even though you are using one chord 80 percent of the time.

  • You're absolutely right. I really wanted to emphasize the drums on this song.

  • Did you compose this masterpiece with spool # 15?

  • Yes, most of the samples are from Soundpool 15.

  • well done!!!!

  • nice! very nice! i am doing pretty much the same thing but how do you use the vita synthesizer or just the loops? i have soundpool dvd 15 but i cant make nearly this quality songs! 5/5! btw i recognized some loops

  • Thanks for the comment! :) I'm using mainly loops in this song, but some of the loops are heavily edited. I haven't used Vita, so I don't know much about it. Sometimes I compose some stuff with FL Studio. Just remember to do a lot of experiments, that's the key to a great song! ;)

  • Thank you! But now lets continue to make some music ! :)

  • A good choice, with that you will defenitly get a job. In 2 years I will make my Abitur ( I think its equal to the a-grade) and I am thinking of what I might study... my favorite choice would be history :D

  • That's great man! Good luck with your studies! ;)

  • Hehe yes it sounds very militaristic. Btw do you study history or something like that ? ^^

  • I've taken some history courses at the university, but nowadays I'm studying business administration. History is just a hobby for me ;)

  • The song is epic! Best part begins with 0:50 / 3:50 :). I also like the picture, I guess its the Imperator Caesar Divi filius Augustus, right ?

  • Yep, that's Augustus. I thought this song had kind of a pompous Roman militaristic feel to it :D (hence the song's name and the pic)

  • Classic, keep them coming, brilliant. 5* :o)

  • Bad-ass!!!

The only words that come to mind.

  • Bardzo fajne! / Very nice music!

  • great music, used simular samples to mine, thumbs up for you, please check mine out and see what you think

  • EEEEPPPPIIIICCCC!!!!

  • My God, i love this one =)

  • very nice ! and long ! : )

  • I'm trying to make something similar, in a way, but I'm having quite a hard time with the automatic volume adjustment.. is there a way to simply turn it off?

  • I'm using Music Maker Basic Edition and I haven't got any problems with the automatic volume adjustment. I didn't even know that there was that kind of feature. I can't really help you with this issue :(

  • Alright, thanks anyway :)

  • Awesome!!!

  • Thanks man! :)

  • exellent Jop! very good Movie Song!

  • Wow...Simply Epic

Now im gonna buy Magix Music Maker :P

  • Simply dope

  • Question mate!! did you use the Virtual Instruments or did you use Real instruments as well?

  • Just wanted to add.. that this is indeed Excellent work.. i see you've been inspired by E.S Posthumus!! i love em to .. as well as X-ray Dog :)

  • Yes, trailer music is a big inspiration for me :) Actually I use a lot of pre-made loops in this song; I'm not a very good composer.

  • Awesome mate!! i got the program myself.. and i have to say i am throughly enjoying it...can you just guide me as to where i can get these soundpools

(or loops? lol)... i don't mind paying a little extra because this is something thats just fantastic

  • Ohh and sorry to be a pain in the butt! I see you have the Basic Version!! but i got the Download version! is there any difference?

  • Just brilliant, Awesome. keep up the good work.

  • excellent my friend, excellence. nice work:-)

  • When you buy it does it come with these loops and stuff because I have it and it doesn't have the loops for immediate music..

    Good job btw.

  • Thanks for the comment! Most of the samples are from Magix Soundpool DVD Collection 15, so you have to get these samples separately.

  • You are very skilled my friend. Sounds very pro, especially the begin and the part from 2:21

    Keep up the good work

    Cheers,

    Denny

  • Thanks for your comment! :) I want to emphasize that I'm using a lot of loops from different sample libraries. Actually I'm not a very good composer, but practise makes perfect :)

  • This is a good one, I liked the strings at the build at 0:50 and the rhythm at 1:14

  • Ahh...words just cannot say how amazing this sounds, especially the drums! Keep it up!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! :)
