@thrugmon actually its OSU not OSS, sounds the same when you're talking but its not the same way you write it. Also OSU is a normal expression of "thankness". Takeo Kikutake Sensei always say it when visiting us.

wow! Otsuka Meijin! Tachi Rei! I have been training Wado for decades and had seen many pictures of Otsuka Meijin, but there are some of the pictures in this clip that I have never seen. Thank you for posting!

I Never got to meet him unfortunately. I Feel tears now and its not because of the music. Rest in peace master Rest.

I was taught along with others that in wado circles the expression "oss" was deemed vulgar!

When replying to sensei it is "Hai"! (yes, or I understand). no offence meant.

I remember him well, I had the honour of training with him in the UK many years ago, I was also lucky enough to have him sign Suzuki's Book, along with all my other favourite instructors, Meida, Wakemei, Kobyashi, etc... good times!!

Nice vid. but one correction:actually is Otsuka SHIHAN... since he is Wado-ryu idealist and founder. I live in Brazil... I´ve trained and practiced for 15 years with one of Ohtsuka Shihan best students, Buyo Michizo Sensei 8th Dan, Jiu-jitsu kenpo and judo master also. I´m really glad to see there are people who worship his name.. his legacy.. let´s make the world a better place.. let´s bring peace... Let´s teach our students... the way of peace.. the WADO ...OSSS

Well if we want to be correct it's Ohtsuka Meijin.

But I use the term ''Sensei'' because it's used to show respect to someone who has achieved a certain level of mastery in Martial arts (and not only)...
