  • i love jeep cherokee

  • that last part was cool

  • was it as quite as everyone says they are I have a Lock Right and want to swap it out for something more DD friendly

  • Gotta love a locking diff.

So its not a picture perfect drift, who cars your sliding in an XJ mad props

  • This is not a drift by any means

  • imma laugh when he flips over

  • @wksforlife - Sorry, that's not in the plans. I sold this Jeep a long time ago. Maybe the new owner wants to flip it? :-)

  • That's great lol !

  • Nice!

  • I was waiting to hear the grand sounds of a Chrysler 8.25 ring-gear snapping!

  • nice

  • lets not get all technical people, just say it was a cool video and get over it. nice donuts!

  • @ashland82391 Wow, dude, those were some nice donuts... Now shut the fuck up and get in your corner, since I will say WTF I want to, bitch!

  • @kc8ntp settle down there old yeller we don't want anyone to get there feelings here now do we? fuckin retard.

  • @ashland82391 No, not a fucking retard, but rather, an ASE Master Technician, who has replaced many diffs on Cherokees because fucking retards -- LIKE YOU -- that think you can abuse them!

  • @kc8ntp OK master ASS technician your pretty moody to be a profecianal, going on web sites and goin syco and all. Anyway I wasnt saying I would go and do it with my jeep but if someone wants to go out and do it to theres for others visual pleasure, bring it on.

  • @ashland82391 True, and I am not going psycho, but rather just fucking around. I love to get people going! Yes, I am truly an A.S.E. Master Tech. I could give a fucking care less if somebody wants to beat the fuck out of their shit -- when it breaks, then that is more money for me! Plus, I drive a jacked up XJ, and would not own any other 4X4. I could use it to pull the panties out of your ass, if you like. Don't be so sensitive!

  • @kc8ntp hahaha it was fun while it lasted. Good day to you kind sir.

  • @kc8ntp professional*

  • dude !!!

  • WOW. Amazing donuts bro and i like the finish of it well done

  • everytime i see someone lay rubber i think of that epi of family guy where quagmire is ice skating and does some figure 8s and then adds the nipples.

  • not only does a drag racer do a burn out to heat up his slicks, but he also does it to clean them off. Any dirt, grime, grease, or debris laying on the ground gets burned or thrown off. then a clean slick is ready to launch

  • Nice jeep man. Is it lifted a little or does it just look tall?

  • poor bfg's... lol

  • thanks man!! but hey in all seriousness what was the red car to the left at :17 seconds

  • I wrecked my 01 red 4wd XJ this weekend. You don't know what ya got till it's gone! Haha

  • your a douche bag, why r u doing that with a jeep thats not what its ment for.......... i hope you roll it.... no wait i hope it doesnt bc that will be a waste of a jeep i hope you drift it and u fall out and someone will steal it and use it right

  • @vr6jetta2000 I hope you fall in a wood chipper. Have a nice day!

  • when tires are warm they grip like the guy said when there melting you lose grip and slid. and for anyone who is going to bring up dragsters those tires are made for that shit and if anyone has ever seen a drag strip there is melted rubber on the concrete making it super grippy. tri walking across the start point your shoes will almost be pulled off..... and asphalt melts along with the tire concrete does not!

  • Dumbass. The only reason its easier to spin after a burnout is because the wheels are already broken loose, easier to keep them spinning. If you try and do the same after a burnout, stop then go for donuts it will be very difficult to break loose, most likely flip. With cold tires, from a stop if you just rail on it and go for donuts it wont be hard at all to get them loose and spin. ANY RUBBER, STREET, RACE, OR EVEN A RUBBER HOSE WILL BECOME VERY STICKY WHEN HEATED.

  • get some spacers for your wheels, that'll let you lift it and make donuts without worrying about a flip. or you could just get an exo-cage :D

  • dope

  • well, theres on reason to get a locker. Whenever i try doing this in my ranger, all i get is a one wheel burnout while doing a 360 degree turn lmao

  • HOW DID U NOT FLIP THAT BITCH?

  • @2009jimmy2009 Made sure the rear tires never caught lateral traction. As soon as one of the rear tires catches traction (while sliding sideways) it's tipping.

  • do you have an aftermarket locker in the rear of that? because i dont recall the xj's having a factory locker/limited slip rear end.

  • @powersguy both of my xj's spin both

  • no ur an idiot every single type of rubber made, gets more grip when warmer or hotter

  • @redneck9507 - Not if you overheat the tire. When a tire gets too hot (a burnout will do this), you will lose grip.

Try taking a car with street tires on a racetrack, the same thing will happen. I'll quote page 165 of a book, "The successful Race Car Driver: A Career Development Handbook"

"If too much heat builds up inside the rubber of the tire and it overheats, the first symptom is the tire getting slippery."

Now go back to chewin' tobacco and hittin' on your sister.

  • @ChrisOstberg your tires were still hooking up after the brakestand, have fun in your pos jeep, although I do you you props that jeep stayed posi the whole time

  • @ChrisOstberg Ya if you do a long brakestand it will overheat then your right, but the brakestand you did was for like one second that wasn't overheating them that was just heating them up so they would be sticky.

  • @ChrisOstberg I wouldn't sell yourself as a race car driver for doing some donuts with a jeep. Whoop dee doo.

  • @redneck9507 but you have to stop and think, when OVERHEATING the tire that means you have melt through the rubber completely and turned it to a liquid, which is extrodinarly hard to do

  • @redneck9507 you got served by the uploader

  • @redneck9507 classic burnout newbie, why do u think drag cars dont stay there for any longer than they do when they burnout? too long of a burnout = shitty grip

  • @redneck9507 You're wrong, ChrisOstberg is right. . . . . . . deal with it. Racing/ Track tires /= Street tires. Street tires get slick when they are heated too much, the opposite is true for track tires.

  • @MVDCGTO if you over heat race tires they get less grip. dumbass

  • @redneck9507 LMAO you say this after making the statement that every type of tires get more grip when warmer. Make up your mind dumbass. Face it you're an idiot but its not your fault, blame the inbreeding. PS just so you know its not ok to fuck your sister no matter what your family tells you.

  • @MVDCGTO yah to a certain point, and I wish i was as mature as you.

  • Awesome! My dad would KILL me if I did that to my cherokee's tires, but that's really awesome!

  • I'd be too afraid i'd flip in an XJ to do that! lol

  • Everytime I have tried to slide my rear end my freaking limited slip kicks in and only one tire spins.

  • @KodiLynn18 get some lockers!

  • Im not going to lie, thats pretty impressive for an XJ thats lifted (2")? on dry pavement

  • he did that "mini burnout" to get the wheels spinning, because a jeep cherokee cant just break the tires loose on dry pavement, and that would lead to him flipping because the tires would have gripped the ground... stupid ass people.

  • it's like a commercial. the 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4X4. Own one, or I'll own you!!!

  • dumbass.

  • hey i have a jeep with an automatic transmission and i lke drifting with it my question is would drifting in jeep effect its mechanical parts?

  • @666blacko drifting in any street vehicle alot will do wear on mechanical parts, and mostly on automatics

  • hey i have a jeep with an automatic transmission and i lke drifting with it my question is would drifting in jeep effect its mechanical parts??

  • XJ Life!

  • 4.0 high output?

  • welded diff? locker?

  • That was dope as fuck my 92 jeep one legs so it won't swing it

  • didnt think they had enough power to do that shit

  • I drive a 4.0L 96 stock which drifts beutifully in the wet it is quite controllable. But im too scared of flipping it to try it on a dry road. What sort of speed do they start to roll over at?

  • is that a 4.0L I6?

  • @BAMF69ification

Yea.. If you pause the video at 0:14, you can faintly see the "4.0L" lettering on the right side of the hatch.

  • Very good Driving, i respect it.

  • nice

  • Stock 4.0?

  • If Hot tires make it easier to slide why do people heat them up at the drag strip? they definatly dont want them to spin or slide!

  • @Storvick1011 - That applies to slicks or racing tires. You don't want to do large burnouts on street tires at the drag strip. In fact, that's the quickest way to spot a noob. :-)

Making tires warm will make them sticky. Making tires melt during a burnout makes them more slippry.

  • @ChrisOstberg good answer!!! i was just gonna shake my head at such a stupid comment. lol

  • @ChrisOstberg your wrong with that, and if you notice the video the tires never stop spinning thus hes going to be able to slide around, ive had two jeeps one with michelen a/ts and one with bfg a/ts and they both get sticky as hell if i smoke them

  • @ChrisOstberg your wrong with that, and if you notice the video the tires never stop spinning thus hes going to be able to slide around, ive had two jeeps one with michelen a/ts and one with bfg a/ts and they both get sticky as hell if i smoke them

  • @ChrisOstberg dude ur a retard

  • I think you mean "you're more than welcome to"

    too means as well

and your is possesive...you mean "you are", as in "you are more than welcome to"

dumb fuck, so I forgot a letter, you're a fucking retarded redneck, don't try picking on someones spelling when you're a fucking retard yourself bud! =)

    thanks!

  • @ a littlecounty09 you have sex with your uncle

  • nice job driving her side ways

  • Is that rear diff locked?

  • That's really good for the tires.

  • so do you, what the fuck is bolth? and sais? before you trip on this guy, smarten up prick. oh and its spelled foreign. BW dont try and use the fact i didnt capitalize I, and use corrent punctuation in this comment as a come back.

  • Try that with Full-Time 4WD on...

  • wow

  • did you weld the posi locker?

  • Thats hawt

  • I bet they were happy with their parking lot after this. Lmao

  • I dont try that unless its nice and wet outside. but great donuts!

  • do you have a locker in that?

  • What size lift and tires are on it?

  • i used to be able to do that when mine was stock...the more i lift it the less i play around like that tho its almost at tipping capacity

  • I can totally understand that. It slides around nicely with just me in the Jeep. I once tried it with 5 guys inside (more top heavy) and I had to abort...I could feel the inside rear wheel start to come up!

  • @ChrisOstberg 2 wheel that bitch noob

  • @neekomoo I feel the same way. I almost miss my Jeep at stock height. I used to beat the piss out of it and do the most stupid things imaginable. It was just as much fun stock as it is lifted...

  • do you have a locker in the diff

  • nice.... cant do that in my jeep or it would flip

  • hey does anyone know if a 6cyl 4x4 5spd cherokee implies it is manual transmission because i have seen 4x4 automatic cherokees or manual 4cyl cherokees but never a 6cyl 4x4 manual trans. cherokee i urgently need to know feedback would be apreciated

  • the only 5spd transmissions were manual as far as i know, the manual 6cyl cherokees aren't as common.

  • 4.0 Litre 6cyl's are very common with both manual and automatic, however a Cherokee or XJ that is 4x4 and is a 5 speed is not so common, i wouldn't say rare because they are out there. I got a rarer one yet, 95 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 with a 5 speed manual, even the 4x4 mechanism has a manual lever, and its a 2 door. Jeeps awsome. Donuts are much easier with a manual tranmission, rev it up, pop the clutch. Sweet ride dude.

  • the rarest of rare has to be the 4.0 I6 XJ 4x4 4dr right hand drive though... ;)

  • i just got a 1988 xj it has the 4.0 with a 5 speed i was looking for other ones but thay all hade autos but im goint to put a auto in mine and the 4.0 high output out of a 92 xj

  • u gunna sell ur 5 speed?

  • i did allready

  • damnit, im looken for one

  • @stoutjeep79 i love my cherokee. i have a 98 4.0l 5spd 4 door. awesome trucks ive never seen another 5 spd in person or heard of anyone owning one where i am. i only find them for sale online

  • @tjman90 Yes a 5 SPD with the 4.0L is Very Rare. And I also find them online. but thats life. and life can be difficuilt

  • @Wizardsquadron

How many miles on the engine and what

price you looking for? Ours is decent.

  • @tjman90 Try and Find a 4.0L HO with the 5 SPd with 2 Doors. if you find one that is a very very Rare find.

  • @Wizardsquadron i like the look of the 4 door better plus 4 doors are easier to find parts for

  • @tjman90 I like the look of the 2 door, but how are parts harder to find for a 2 door than to find parts for a 4 door?

And what kind of parts are you talking about? Mechanical or body?

  • @Wizardsquadron body parts. 4 doors are more abundant so its easier to find parts for them. i used to like the look of the 2 door but lately ive falleen in love with the late model classics like this one and the 2 doors dont look as good to me anymore

  • @tjman90 yea that makes sence. I like the 2Drs even thou it does have a seat in back i would fold that down and make more room for cargo or whatever. plus If i could get a 2 DR i would love to get it in a Stick. that would be sick.

  • they are also very fast for a cherokee i used one for work a couple years ago it was alot of fun to screw around with

  • @styylite I know, my mother has one and i use it for her sometimes, lol I drop the hammer here and their and the I-6 sounds great. i wonder how it would sound with a Glass pack ^_^

  • glass packs tend to sound bad on six's but magnaflow and flowmasters sound great i have a 4-door xj now and im getting a magnaflow cat back for it

  • @styylite how much would a Magna go for?

  • @Wizardsquadron i think its about 450

  • i lke the dynomax, i have just the mufler runs totaly diferent

  • flowmaster or no muffler is the way to go my friend

  • @Wizardsquadron

My family has a 4.0L HO Cherokee 5 Spd 2

door. I drive it and it's pretty nice.

  • yea i saw one on craigslist myrtle beach i was like what the mother fuck

  • just like a kid with a toy, good job!

  • i dont have the balls 4 that in my xj lol in snow ya, but not dry.

  • I saw a guy who tried to do this in a range rover, he flipped on its side lol

  • nice and all but your wrong...warming them up makes them grip better, why do you think drag racers do a burnout??? when they are warmer they stick to the road. other than that kick ass vid.

  • That's only true for racing slicks or drag tires. With street tires (especially off road tires like are on the Jeep), doing a burnout will make them get slippery very quickly.

  • your right im sorry i was not thinking of the tires you were using lol im sorry. good video thougn.

  • Hey man, no problem. Thanks for fighting those fires! :-)

  • you do very nice work

  • this is pretty good.

I saw a video where a jeep flipped over doing parking lot drifts.

  • i love doing stuff like this, scares passengers real good

  • LOL!! Sweet!

  • i'm sooooo glad i got a cherokee instead of an s-10! not that the s-10 is bad but i love this cherokee

  • haha very nice bro

  • Is this at the same parking lot as your Jeeps love snow... video?

  • ummmm pointless.

  • No, it's called fun.

PS, my truck runs. Nice emo cut.

  • what is under thehood?

  • Stock 4.0 inline 6, 190 hp, 235 lb-ft.

  • sick thinking about picking up one.

    what year is it?

  • As long as your sliding your not going to flip. thats my motto. Is your rear locked?

  • Yep, Powertrax No-Slip.

  • Nice man, very nice......and yea i dont know why people are talking about flipping and shit, i used to do so much drifting and donuts in mine and it never even had the slightest bit of roll.....just look at my jeep donuts vid and see......

  • why is everyone saying it should have flipped? it looked like he knows what hes doing to be honest , it wasnt that wreckless

  • warning, you have a lift, you should have rolled over

  • Just added this one to my favorites - very nice.

  • You should have tipped it on the second one. Really stupid. Cherokees have a shorter wheelbase, they're tippy.

Nice jeep BTW, I'm a proud owner of a red cherokee maself :)

  • smashing video! 5 stars

  • if i did that with my jeep i know i would be siting on the roof in that parking lot i fi was you i would call it quits soon

  • godda love jeeps man. doesnst seem like a brilliant idea, just cause its a jeep, but man looked like hella fun!

  • Dumb move but you still gota love the 4.0s

  • nice jeep but, youre lucky it didnt flip

  • custom differential?

  • how do you do it without flipping it?

  • @tadavis12 very carfully

  • how did it not flip?!?!

  • Luck. Extremely stupid stunt. The cherokee handles very well for a suv, but it will still dig in to the asphalt and go tits up.

  • lol u slide better than alot of these kids with modded 240's

  • nice hellraisin. jeeps rock!

  • damn i wouldn't expect that thing to move like that

  • their pretty nimble

  • kick ass

  • haha im always afraid to try that. not sure how easy it would be to tip

  • It looks like a fairly newer one, I have a feeling my 89 would flip much easier.

  • fredlachy is a cock eating douche faggot

  • fredlachy, you dont kno your ass from a hole in the ground you wanker, go have some tea and crumpits and stfu! Oh and that was sweet driving, nice xj!

  • too bad i aint got video of my 96 on 33's smokin em

  • Did you take it off road? It's not designed to drive well on the road.

That's like taking a Porsche off-roading and complaining about its ground clearance.

  • your stupid
