One would think that the prediction would have been closer than it was, after all its not rocket science (On second thought it IS rocket science). It would be hard to control all the variables involved, I think the variation in the shape and mass of the projectiles along with non-uniform amounts of fuel and rate of combustion as well as standing in the pool in the middle of winter probably screwed the whole thing up. Still, its a fun way to make applesauce.
I agree that the predictions should have been closer. I should have realized that if the cannon kicked the apple to 107' in the air, it would have gone way more than 75' down the road. Perhaps there was an error in my equations at some point; I'll have to review that. Thanks for the comment! And yes, standing in the pool probably screwed me up somehow haha
