Jason Amm (Mr.Solvent),always have always wanted to be Vince Clarke. And he has mastered his art so well, that I think he finally achieved it.When I listened to this for the first time, just got the same feeling when listened to Yazoo for the first time.Well done,Jason.
@stereoloov This is Jason/Solvent - thanks for the compliment! Indeed, Vince Clarke is my hero! However, this remix is the only occasion where I explicitly tried to sound like Vince Clarke. It's my homage to Yazoo. What I'm trying to say is, Vince has always inspired my sound, but my music has never sounded exactly like Vince before, because that was never my goal.
First of all;many many thanks for taking some of your valuable time to answer me personally.Don't get me wrong:when I said you wanted to be Vince Clarke i should have said that you wanted to have all the vintage analogic synths and studio devices he had in 1982.I've got all your recordings and it's clear to me that you've got your own personality. You may use vintage equipment but your music never sounded retro, except for this remix, which made me travel in time.Keep On!
you are so beautiful and a power voice

this is LOVELY.
with respect to all alison's work live & accoustic
but there's something in her voice that Soars over analogue synths.
Jason this is just wonderful-
before she'd even sung a note i was in a full on Swoon.
TEN sir!
