  • watch this, but imagine Bert is dead.

  • Ernie, you're obsessing again..! I don't think this is healthy.

  • Oy. This gave me the willies. Bert isn't answering him! It isn't the same at all! Please wake up, Bert!

Does this remind you of anything?

  • ernie your coppying what keven does on home alone

to try trick the burgerlers. when i was kid i always

did what ernie did pretend my mum was in bed room

on nights she was working. still so funny

  • ernie cries and talks like a retard

  • What was the music like, jonny? Was it the same like when they put music in the snowman skit?

  • LOL!

  • No wonder Bert left! :)

Really, Bert is my all time favorite Sesame Street character, and I always wondered how he put up with Ernie. I guess if you love someone enough you can put up with their annoying habits.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that this is incredibly sad?

  • Ernie's Bert impression sounds a lot like Jim's older Muppet voices. I love it.

That first annotation - I can really picture Ernie saying that.

  • Or like Jim himself!

  • bert dissconnected the fones?? how meen!! LOL

  • omg... its like he murdered bert... fucking creepy as hell

  • The picture of Bert is a bit too grim looking for me. It especially doesn't blend when Ernie sweetly says "that's a lullabuy". Though I will say that, if I remember correctly, this clip was one of the first steps in my realizing that waiting until tomorrow really isn't so bad. I was just a kid, after all, and when you're in that age range, twenty-four hours seems like more than twenty-four years.

  • Thanks for uploading this. And BTW, I love this sketch so much.

  • XDD lol that's not creepy at all.

  • Ernie's night time conversation here seems so innocent and adorable.

  • I remember this clip. I had this on one of my recorded tapes that I sadly no longer have, but it was the newer version with the music added. It's great to see the original clip the way it was first shown.

  • As Marvin and Tammy said: "Ain't nothing like the real thing, baby!"

  • never saw this before, thanks alot

  • Nice annotations.

  • Odd, this didn't turn up in my subscriptions box. I wodner who made the drawing of Bert.

  • ayb Caroll Spinney. He's such a great artist too. Kinda doesn't feel the same without Jim Henson on set today.

  • Ernie did, silly MarshalGrover!
