  • The M50 has been a dream to play, the hammer-action is amazing, and the amount of features on this beast is pretty intimidating. It's like a spaceship.

  • Was considering the M3 but since all I'm using it for is making beats, I don't see anything that makes it worth the additional nearly extra grand I'd have to spend. M50 it is. **grabs car keys**

  • 2:00 fail

  • thanks 4 stocking this citymusic! i just bought it!

  • Oh my, can't wait for christmas now... XD

  • Is it possible to use chord trigger buttons for transport controlling function in a DAW?

  • Can someone please explain , I am considering buying a new keyboard/workstation and was looking at this one as apposed to the korgx50 . I read somewhere that you can't sample w this one can someone please explain what that means. I am new to all this techno stuff . Thank you any advice would be appreciated.

  • Sampling is where the keyboard 'records' external sounds, such as another instrument, a noise or singing, then replicates it so that you can play it. Chances are if you don't know what sampling is then you're not going to need it. The M50 is an excellent keyboard and will do more than enough for the standard user.

  • @libertyordeaf Oh thank you I thought that is what it meant I wasn't sure :)

  • Hi, have one question, is there any pizzicato sounds in it ???

  • @TheIcedroid yes there is alot of them

  • is there no reverse symbol (percussion ) effect on the m50..i cant find 1 on my m50...i checked all the percussion kits..is there away to create one..i really need one for my productions..thanx!

  • The M3 arpeggiator is missing !!!!!!!!

  • Can this machine play .STY files, please reply.. But the synths are amazing and outstanding... and highly portable..

  • M-50 no aftertouch a big deal for me :(

  • any idea if it's worth trading in my triton extreme for an m50? the m50 seems very "plastic-like" although maybe that was intentional for portability... plus, no Karma with m50?

  • I wouldn't trade it triton extreme is way beter than m50

  • its also £500 more expensive. What do you expect?

  • pretty sure karma is supported.

  • it supports karma, but not internally. u have to have it running on a computer, then connect ur m50

  • yeah there's supposed to be KARMA M50...i don't think it's out yet for it

  • how much?

  • Oh my goodness, I think that the trumpets sound really great. Better than what I've heard from other companies. That jazz trumpet that goes nuts in pitch with an aftertouch kick just freaks me out.

  • dont say that ! korg 4ever, but dont underestimate other products.....

  • Love the guitar patches.

  • I just got the Keyboard... if you know what your doing. you can make the sounds sound any way you want... there are so many things you can adjust it's a limitless keyboard...

  • How much did it cost? I'm thinking about getting M3 but now I'm not sure :) Do you think M3 is still better? I would love to own Oasys but it's bit too much for me at the moment, maybe in future but for now I'm so close to getting M3 and now this thing comes out.

So....M3 or M50? Which one is better???

  • M3 is "better" as it has more features and whatnot. The M50 is basically a light version of the M3. However, if the M3 is better for you than the M50 is hard to tell. You'll just have to compare the two and figure out for yourself if the extra features of the M3 are worth the extra cash.

  • Thanks...the reason i asked was, i never touched M3 yet but I do know a lot about it and was wondering what does the sound, sound's like between these two. I guess with any Korg product you can't go wrong. :)

  • I think it all depends on what you want to do with your M3 if you get it VS the M50... M3 is way better then this.. but like the Triton when it came out.. its has stuff you may never end up using... Which size are you getting.. I am used to weighted keys and all of that but I got the 61 cause I already had an 88... They are both good... the M50 has less.. no Sampler or audio input features.. no firewire options and no KAOS pad built in... I like my M50.. I M3 is still better...

  • Save and get the M3. You won't be disappointed. You'll need to buy the radias expansion board and extra memory for the M3. I wasn't too impressed with the M50's feel.

  • well every manufacturer does that.

I prefer a lot of presets.

If you are really into being creative this will not stop you.

Indeed, if you blame your lack of creativity on the amount of presets, then this is really lame :-D

  • i want korg kill you better

  • dasjdujasjdasda como lo vas a comparar con un motif xD

  • nice

muy bueno, pero me parece que el motif esta mucho mejor
