  • Where's all the nonEnglish speaking pt's?!!!LOL

  • hahahahahahahaha

  • funny video...

aboogalala is a tard dumb motherfucker...

    grow up you moron...

  • Looks like a fun place to work! ;-)

  • aboogala you are such a lame and dumb kid. May I suggest a dictionary for you? omg, your assertions are idiotic and unheard of. The right spellings are HILARIOUS, EDITED, AND BELIEVE...

Gosh! what a dumb "nurse" you are...

  • aboogala, so funny reading your comments and misspellings but you claim to be 27 years of age? From what you are saying that you loved guitar hero when you were a kid, I guess you are still a kid now. Because guitar hero first came out in 2005. That is only 4 years ago. Stop lying, kerwinrn has won this argument.

  • kerwinrn...

look up aboogalala. my original account?

instead of retyping all my stuff i copied and pasted.

and im 27, idk where u got 9th grade from.

and if u still wanna argue like 10 year old why dont u msg me so we dont spam the comments?

  • aboogalala95,

First of all, I'm not the one arguing like a 10 year old. You started this "thingy" on a rude note by calling it "lame" and a "joke", then continued on to call me a "perve".

To add to your insults, you email me and say what I did was "pointless" and "retarded". I do not know you personally and I don't care. You claim to be a neonatal nurse yet you insult another nurse you haven't met before like I was some stray dog....

  • aboogalala95,

As your name implies (aboogala!), you scream when you feel you're being ignored. Now you got my attention...lots of it. Assuming you are indeed 27 years old, and a professional nurse. DUDE!, YOU NEED TO STOP BEING AN ASS AND GROW UP...

  • aboogala95 --

    "Hobbies:

Guitar, Guitar Hero (even though I totally suck!), making really stupid vids with my camera (my mom still won't let me post anything!), riding my bike, rock climbing, roller coasters, scaring my mom =) " ---

You created this profile October of 2008.

Your mom "DIED" when you are in 8th grade...so now you are in 9th grade? I've never seen a neonatal nurse who is 9th grade...LMFAO!!

  • aboogalala95 -- "mom died when I was in 8th grade, guess you couldn't bring the patient back huh?"

So sorry about your loss, but I never laid my hands on your mother...

  • kerwinrn...i havent editted my profile for 3 years, i liked guitar hero when i was a little kid.

i havent called a single vid hillarious, and if i did i think id know how to spell it

i said "thingy" one time, and that was an inside joke.

and ill be sure to tell my mom to teach me manners, she died when i was in 8th grade (guess u couldnt bring the patient back huh?)

  • I don't exactly know what your problem is aboogalala95. If you don't like the video, it's okay to say so. Why add the words (as your email described) "pointless", "retarded" and called me a "perve". If you are indeed a "neonatal nurse", then you know how we all need a good laugh. Our jobs are very stressful, so stop being anal about it in a video sharing website like youtube.

"editted" and "hillarious"....you still spelled it wrong.

  • lol. that is funny

  • not cool.

this vid is lame and a joke...

    perve

  • aboogalala95,

Well, judging from your youtube profile of loving guitar hero and calling some funny videos "halarious", I came to the conclusion that you are either a little kid or some clueless moron who know nothing about our job. If I were you, I'd work on that spelling and grammar "thingy". And please tell your mom to teach you some manners....KID!

  • you are one sick man

  • Dimigrey,

"you are one sick man" -- nope..we just take care of the sick..

  • looooooove it! =)

  • that was hilarious! what a way to de-stress!! in a stressful place!

  • This is really cute!!! Thanks for the laugh!

  • Funny!

  • All points well taken. Indeed, we made sure that no HIPAA law (that privacy and portability thingy) is violated thus no real patients in the video. "This video is unprofessional" -- and hundreds of other health care workers showing similar stuff in youtube?. Hey we all need to chill sometimes, dealing with illness, dying, and death on a daily basis is hard. Say...this is a good stress relief. And lastly, many thanks to 'tranurse' for coming to our defense :o)

  • Kerwin--haven't watched this for a while; brings back lots of good memories! Still makes me laugh! I miss all you guys! I can't believe how long it's been!

    Rachel

  • Kerwin thats one hella good production and great humor. There is a lot nurses and health care stuff deal with every day at work that we need this kind of humor BRAVO BRAVO. Actually that makes me wanna work at your hospital seriously...

  • hey,we got to stick together.

  • interesting. and yeah...cant ever say the "q" word. i did that once and never again have i made that mistake

  • This made me chuckle a little inside....=)

  • Ahhhh, midnight shift at the ER. Nuthin' better....

  • i love itttt!

  • awesomesauce. that's rad. way to go :)

  • this shit is the most un professional shit I have ever seen

  • absolutely agree! Shame!

  • obviously you are not a nurse or doc. we need this from time to time.

  • i'm not. u need it from time to time but that's just ruffianly!

  • if no pt's were involved, everyone who took part seems to had a good time, and it was all done in good fun, more power to them. but, i will be the first to admit, that if a person doesn't work in the healthcare field, they wouldn't understand, and from the outside in, it could look off-putting. but, it looks like it was all done with a wink and a smile. take care.

  • whatever =)

  • It's hilarious. You try dealing with this stuff, including death, every day and see how you cope with it. I'd rather people do this than hit the bottle on their off-days or something.

  • lol, obviously you've never worked in a hospital. This is reality.

  • Unprofessional my ass...this is the bomb! I'd want that nurse from the back..

  • well your screen name is professional

  • awesome! More please!

  • Great Video, come work at our ER we need some cool new crew members !!!

  • Is it true if you say QUIET in the hospital ER, it gets busy?

  • oh, now see, if you say the 'q' word, you need to knock on wood.

  • awesome video! i enjoyed watching this

  • RN here: I love this! Great job everyone!

  • this is so funny!!!!!i imagine all the stress they deal with and to pull this off is hilarious.I can't wait to become a Nurse.

  • What a bunch of fun loving people you all are considering the amount of stress people in the medical field encounter each day...

  • What fun! Great job!

  • but also.. I am surprises they got to just bring camera's in and just walk around and make video's. Hippa?

  • Comment removed

  • well it looks like they made sure it was just staff members.

  • LOL! whatever, that was funny. I work in the E.R. in Sumter, SC I'm an RN and I work nights. Our's is usually always busy and we do act professional. We have our times in the nurses station when we goof off, but in an environment like that you have to blow off some steam every one in a while or you get burned fast. 12 hour shifts are not always easy. But anyway that was good! I can't wait to show everyone tonight at work this video LOL

  • They need to have fun once in a while. I have been a patient at a local hospital since I was 8 months old and I am now 21, medical staff work really hard and need to have fun sometimes.

  • well said

  • carlyannaroxy,

First of all, there is no reason to feel embarrassed with this video. It's nurses and doctors enjoying their free time :o)

Second, the staff did not do anyhing unnecessary or unprofessional. If we did, pick a timeline and I will check it for you.

Lastly, relax it's only a (music) video. No one needs to get fired over it. And yes, we all do our jobs very well a lot of patients bypass other hospitals to come to us.

    Nuff said :o)

  • omg this is great. lol

  • Great video. It must be fun working among these people.

  • i lkie this vis, make some more

  • cool! ^_^

  • Awesome job!!!!

  • Does anyone know where to find the 12 lead ECG song done to bringing sexy back?

  • great guys

  • Great Video. I've been trying to talk my 15 year old son into going into the medical field. Unfortunately he seems to have no interest.

  • good. ur pressuring him

  • Man I wish it was slow enough in the Er when I worked in one to do this !

  • ha ha PID. You know it by watching her walk. The PID shuffle. Very popular in our er.

  • every e.r. lol

  • Awesome guys! I was cracking up at this vid. Very creative.

  • Very creative!

  • Way to go Riverside Community Hospital! Haha...I thought that was Mr. Gonzales and Claire. And you even got a Crafton Hills student. WOW

  • it was so awsome nice concept

  • amazing!!! and yes bless you people

  • "Shots on me" -LOL

  • take her to the triage!!!

    LOL

  • OMG! I absolutely loved it!!!

  • Awesome!!! To bad the ER I used to work at didn't have this much talent. lol

    BTW was that Dr. Brenchley?

  • nursing back is better

  • Oh, I love it!

  • watch "nursing back"

  • bless you people

  • nice!:)

  • was this ok with your manager

  • This is funny! Did the Nurse Manager participate in this? Did you guys get grief from Administration? I can see it now - some lame punishment for "Violating" either Joint Commission national patient safety goals or hospital policies.

  • No, the nurse manager did not participate as this was done during the night shift. She wouldn't have anyway. Sorry boss.

Reason # two, this video was created with the intent of complete anonymity for the hospital organization. Only those who have direct personal knowledge of the "actors" :-) will know who we are.

Lastly, no joint commission goals or hospital policies were violated in this production. All roles were deemed fictitious and acts were harmless to the general public (wink).

  • i am sick to death of joint commission safety goals. it's common sense. and you got a bunch of people who never have worked as nurses gumming up the works, and making it that much harder to do our jobs.

  • Amen!!! JCAHO = Hell

  • i'm not allowed to talk to jcaho. about six years i told the examiners exactly what i thought of them. i have to use vacation days when they are at my hospital. i wasn't ugly, they just asked me what i thought, and i told them.

  • I agree with abbaking and tranurse...

  • awesome!!!!

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is cool! God bless all the doctors, nurses and other health care professionals in the nation.

  • This is so cool! There's nothing wrong with showing the passion in medical care and playing it out with tunes. We are here to help not do harm. God bless all the nurses, doctors and other health professionals in the nation who help anyone who walks in any medical facility.

  • damm im scard lol

  • we watched this during a break,I just became an Er nurse this year and I love it!It's a whole new world in the ER baby!!!

  • I have always wanted to be an ER doctor and I cant wait to be one eventually. And after seeing this video I hope that I have colleagues as cool as you guys! this video is beyond awesome!! Please make more!!!

  • Awesome job!

  • Awesome job guys!

    You make ER nurses proud!

This is an EXCELLENT morale booster.

You don't know how many of my co-workers stopped and laughed and smiled when they say this - it was a great "de-stresser" during our night shift.

I'd LOVE to see another video sometime in the future!!!

  • Awesome, this made me smile. I work in an ER and this is great. I wish more ER's would do this in their "downtime". Keep up the great work, I would love to work with anyone of you, you look like a great "TEAM"

  • hahaha.. i wanna work in your hospital

    nice vid

  • mean while patients are waiting to see a doctor! this is why!

  • Yeah. We closed the entire E.R for about 3 hours so we could proceed with our little "filmmaking". All the medications that were due was also put on hold. Gosh! :-)

I believe I have already addressed the same comment before but here we go again. No matter how busy today's ER is like, there is this rare thing we call 'downtime', or break time for that matter, and whever this golden opportunity presented itself, we took advantage of it.

And NO patient or nurse was hurt during filmmaking :P

  • Our entire senior nursing class is going to *love* this - awesome :)

  • great job!

  • great job!!

  • this vidoe put a smile on my face. great job.

  • loved it

  • GREAT VIDEO! Thats an awesome work enviorment lol

  • I'm a heart surgeon and i have never seen anything like this i'm thinking to pass the idea to the staff of the McAllen heart Hospital so my people and do something like this I loved it, congratulations you have done an awesome job on this video keep it up

  • I work at UAB emergency room and i think this is fantastic! you should check out our rap. i do have one problem with yours though. there is a guy walking with oxygen tanks and they are touching the ground. that's a JCHAO violation! hahahahahaha.....great job!

  • I saw that UAB rap and its definitely awesome.

One thing though, that female nurse at the back was walking around with gloves on, and that too is a JCAHO violation. Cool rap, great people. Thanks for viewing my video.

  • walking with glove on is not a Joint Commission violation - thats OSHA

  • oh gosh. that is great

  • Thats what im going to school for. I cant wait to get into a hospital.

  • DITTO. I crave that environment everyday. I diefinetly want to do something with emergency medicine.

p.s. looks like you guys had some fun.. lol

    --heather

  • I'll be doing that ASAP.

    I know how you feel.

I just can't wait to use the defibrillator.

I just can't wait to hold a crying child.

I jjust can't wait to use the suction machine.

I just can't wait to use the ambu bag.

I CAN NOT WAIT TO SAVE A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • From one night shift ED RN to another.... Your video is great. Especially loved the PID..... But..... where were all the substance abusers!!!!!!

  • Good question CathyjoRN. Actually nobody wanted to play as the crackhead that night. In our next video, we will show those who ask for 'vicodin' by name while claiming allergy to "all NSAIDs".

  • Maybe you can do round 2 and include the frequent flyer - junkie rap???????? Thanks for making me laugh. CathyJoRN

  • my personal favorite is the pt who says he/she is allergic to tylenol, but they can take percocet without any trouble

  • i love it when they are allergic to morphine but can they please have dilaudid IV? bu, but, nothing else works!!! can i please have benedryl 25mg first? hehe

  • Hick Yeah Night Shift Rocks when my mom has night shift every so often I get to go. It Rocks Cause the people my mom works with R just as Crazy if Not More Crazy than these Guys in the Video.

  • night shift rocks!!! Love the video!! You have to work night shift in the health field to understand it..lol!!! You all are the best!!

  • You people have to work night shift!! Too funny

  • Wow... this is the coolest thing on Youtube. Ever.

  • holy shit i cant stop laughing this is awesome

  • That is freakin hilarious!!!

  • Cool guys ! Looks like the atmosphere in our Hospital :)))

  • XD This is awesome. Medicine is a tough business, I love to see people that have a sense of humor despite all that. <3 You guys are great.

  • LMAO, hahha, D and C, dusting and cleaning!

    Eww P.I.D! Hahha.

I need to tell our ER to do one.

    Nice work guys!

  • Mariapaniagua909, yes there are better things to do in the E.R and that is saving lives. This is just one of those times we needed to have a little fun among ourselves.

  • Mariapaniagua909,

And no we're not lazy, we just know how to work hard when we need to and not be anal about it.

  • nurses are far from lazy you dip S!@#

  • Who's the lazy one?...Sitting on your ass surfing youtube. Being in the medical field is stressful. If you are in you would appreciate it and not criticize it!

  • True....

  • LMAO Now everyone knows why it takes so long to be seen in an ED!!! =)~

  • Patience jo4d...patience. We'll take you to the triage so we can get your sickness out ;-)

  • Are you sure this isn't MY ER!?!? we gotta do this at Parkview here in Pueblo, CO! We got a crew that's definately ready for psych eval!

  • Nope, this is a So Cal E.R. But thanks for viewing ;)

  • this is weird.... really

  • OMG!! Why didn't I think of this!! Being a RN on night's makes you think of all sorts of riduculous things! This is Phenomenal!!

  • What a fun video....sometimes I miss working on the night shift. But I have 4 kids now and I need to work days so I can be awake when they are home.

  • wow! this is so great! very nice, so inspiring. I Know lot's of nurses put a hard work in ER department. All the pressure and stressors are there and its really hard to do that job. This is nice, in spite of all those circumstances, nurses still have the will to be smile! Go nurses!

  • that was sooooo inspiring!!!!

  • Ha ha Hilarious! Coming from a fellow ER nurse on nights. We'll have to get my hospital to do this!!

  • so this is what you all are doing when patiants are needing some help and you are getting paid for it , that is just wrong.

  • watchdog3...lighten up dude. If you read the description and my previous posts, you would know how we managed to pull this one off. Most of it was done either during our break or at downtime. And NO...we didn't do any filming when a patient was needing help. That would be outright stupid wouldn't it?

  • u tell me , unfortunitly I was in fl. hosp. east in central florida and while i was in the ER passing a 9.5 mm kidney stone through the right kidneytube that cut it wide open and i was passing blood , it went in to my lower extrimity . individuals did not head the warning signs . also i was discharged from the ER with out any further examination and had to sign the discharge papers in a custodians cleaning closet not in the ER roomthat i was in . so yuo tell me .
