  • Critics unfairly maligned and killed this album. They kept salivating and whining all over IanMc for some reason. The album is lyrically, musically and vocally strong. Reading the previous comments, looks like I am not the only one still listening to this album after almost 20 years!

  • not one of my favorite echo songs....ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS OF ALL TIME...FRESH MEN IN HIGH SCHOOL ...SCHOOL DAYS!!!!!!!!

  • @bretadounitedfc my dad is noel burke, the singer

  • @rojalilco Nice

  • I'm the 22222 viewer!! D=

  • Reverberation is definitely an awesome album! I love Noel's voice just as much as Ian's.

  • "echo and the bogusmen" - ian mcculloch this suuuuuuuccks.

  • Sounds like The Beatles. :)

  • reverberation is one of my favourite album the best: cut &dried

  • Noel Burke, you did an AMAZING job on this album. I've been listening to Reverberation for YEARS now. Picked it back up in 2006 and have been listening to the whole thing since. Great music never dies. If only we can go back. *sigh*

  • Considering that the album didn't do so well, I was apprehensive of listening to one of the songs fronted with Noel. It's actually pretty good, but I think they should've renamed the band once Noel joined, they probably would have been much more successfull then. Bunnymen just isn't Bunnymen without the original Echo.

  • MMMM, Noel Burke, he has an awesome voice and sure was a cutie when they toured here in the States for Reverberation. Best memory was in Santa Cruz at the Catalyst Club when they sang: "People Are Strange"; the crowd went wild! Got to hang out with him afterwards - talk about a nice and approachable guy - not a pretentious bone in his body! Watching their bus drive off in the fog that night I knew it would be the last time we would see them - thanks for the memories (oh and the kiss!).

  • Okay, I don't understand why there's so many haters of this edition of Echo, but this was a TREMENDOUS album, and Noel did an INCREDIBLE job of working his vocals into the Bunnymen aural motifs. I'm no newcomer to Echo, and (in fact) was a HUGE fan of the band since the very beginning, AND saw Ian several times on his first solo US tour (including the legendary McCabe's Guitar Shop sets in Santa Monica) but still, I've always appreciated this LP's psychedelic ambitions AND Noel's great vocals...

  • I still quote this song... and ask people if they if they "have a splinter in their splendor today"... and I tell myself , "I won't be frightened"... one of my all time favorite songs in the world! "la la la la laaaa...."

  • I wished they had named the band something different and continued along this path. Vocal hooks at this stage and now were far better w/Noel.

  • Was this the Noel Burke era Bunnymen? First time I've heard this. It's OK...Not the same without Mac though.

  • @TheHarecat

Noel Burke was my teacher in primary school, he still teaches there and lives about 3 streets away from me... sound fella.

  • love this album as well...

    totally trippy...

and i love origioanal bunnymen as well...

  • G'wan Noel. You were always going to be up against it. You did a great job!

    Love Reverbertion.

  • Wow! Harry Potter on vocals and guitar! ...Reverberation is excellent album by the way!

  • @borealico I thought the same thing. I was amused.

  • I have to admit when this album came out I was sceptical(Bunnymen-no macca?),but when they toured the album they played my local flea-pit (Colne Muni) so obviously I wasn't missing that!!! My god!! They were unbelieveable,Noel is also a very good abstract lyric writer as well as singer. Needless to say I went out and got the album the day after. Great to have Ian back don't get me wrong, but don't anyone write this album off coz of Ian's absence,it's brilliant!!!

  • that is my daughter's teacher in year 6 in liverpool!

  • @DSAVO

He was mine too, i'm 24 now!

  • I've got this on Cassette somewhere. It wasn't that bad at all.

  • I have to say Reverberation is one of the most underrated albums ever, and gets completely dismissed cause Mac isn't on it. Flaming Red is a top 5 Echo song of all time.

  • DeadBeatDecadent Had some very rare live Noel/Echo vids posted! Hope they resurface, as well as DBD's channel. Any hope of finding live reverb show recordings?

  • That there is my year 6 teacher.

  • Echo and the Bunnymen with Ian McColloch--The Doors;

    Echo and the Bunnymen with Noel Burke--The 13th Floor Elevators;

Two different sounds by one great band.

The Noel Burke version also put out a 2 song single CD and a 3 song EP CD. If you love "Reverberaton", you will love these 5 songs.

  • thats was cool what you said 77, nice insight

  • NOEL BURKE, WOW ~

  • This is a great song! The audio is a bit thin.

  • Yeah!...Noel Burke was a good singer....i dont know who the people hate him...that years has magic and psicodelic for the bunny's

  • its funny when a singer leaves a band people think that thats the end , in some cases maybe but not this one, this was a great album, 2 good singers i am glad ian came back, but i am glad reverberation happened,it woke ian up!!!

  • I liked this song, it predates Blur for that certain vibe. Too bad they called it Echo and the Bunnymen, but hey...

Even stranger: the McCullouch/Sergeant project that was Electrafixion. Could have used the Bunnymen tag, but didn't. Such is life...

  • I love EATB and but I think the most people just talk about Ian and forget Will Sergeant. He is a great composer and guitarrist. I supose he is the man behind this album, which I think this record, eventhough it sounds a bit different than the other albums with Ian, is great.

  • and I thought Mr Burke was talking bullshit...

  • Fuck you all. You know shit-all about anything. Noel taught me in St. Austins school, he is a great man with a ton of fooking talent that you shite bags couldn't detect with a farmers nose. Enough said.

  • curiosamente lo compré en cita de casete estando en chicago el cantante parece buen tipo pero no le llega a la suela de los zapatos a ian mc

  • The first thing I see is a strange indian guy playing sitar or something. The 2nd thing I see it isn´t Pete on drums, the next thing I hear it´s a different singer... this is ghastly !!!

  • @Snett111 stupid pete is dead in 1989 in a motorcycle crush

  • god bless u for posting this video, i've been looking for it for a while.

  • so have i

  • Noel Burke was my year six teacher - he took up teaching after this. He's a really nice man, you nasties.

  • Everyone is saying they like him...

  • i bought this cd when it was released...and when i heard the vocals i freaked out....!!! without IAN echo doesn't exist...i threw it out after 1/2 the first song....

  • I don't known if "Reverberation" it's a good Echo & The Bunnymen's album or not, but it's a really good album.

  • These comments below are ridiculous.

This was Echo's lost years. God awful painful

sound Noel Burke's voice is. Will sounds like

he is playing in his sleep. The time apart did them well.

Long live the Bunnymen (without Noel).

  • This is my all time favorite CD

I bought it , a friend stole it, then I bought it again in a hard to find ebay store in germany!

Now I keep it in my safe

  • Reverberation was the best album they ever made. Iam McCulloch put out a bunch of crap.

  • yes reverb-is an ok album but has anyone heard their latest siberia! even mcculloch's 1992 effort "mysterio" or even 2001 "flowers" is waaaaaaaaaay!!!!! better than reverberation

  • No way , they aren´t. reverberation is a great album it´s just you that dont like it. Misterio and flowers are both " crap " I have them both . reverberation is a lot better

  • No, I agree that Reverberation was the best.....Then again, I liked Yes "Drama".

  • hahahaha!!!!

I have always felt the same way about Yes-"Drama"

Just because a band changes their lineup doesn't mean they have to suck. "Reverberation" is a very good record indeed.

  • I happen to like this album also.I agree it would have done much better under a different moniker.

  • No matter what people say, i like "Reverberation".

  • I've been waiting for it to be posted; thanks.

  • "Reverberation" is a very solid album, and arguably more interesting/memorable/interesting than Ian McCulloch's solo work during the same period. If recorded under a different moniker, it might have done better. Still, this incarnation of the Bunnymen and Ian's solo work is proof positive of the "united we stand, divided we fall" maxim -- even if it means there's tension between members.

  • U R so right...they should have all sucked it up and stayed together....sort of like a family...you might not like all the members but you have to love 'em.

  • am i the only one who likes reverberation best
