  • lmao.

I can't believe people seem so freaked out by Djungelvrål. xD

Why they cover it in salt? Because it's delicious. That's why. =P

  • @saiyoucho

Well, it's actually a mixture of sugar and salt I believe. I love Djungelvrål, it keeps me awake during lectures.

  • @LaninaGilhi It's not salt as in common table salt(sodium chloride); it is ammonium chloride.

It's a salty, slightly sour taste with a faint smell of ammonia.

  • @saiyoucho Apparently only scandinavian vikings and parts of europe enjoy salty liquorice :P

  • I guess im a viking since Djungelvrål is the best there is ;)

  • Where can I get some of these???

  • @will2k123 Sweden :) Search for malacoleaf!

  • @will2k123 icasvenskmat.se Enjoy!

  • @will2k123 I can send you some. Where do you live? As a norwegian, I love thise

  • Just FYI, the salt is ammonium chloride a.k.a. the medieval medicine salmia, which is for the flu (and works). It tastes repulsive at first, but it can become a quickly acquired taste.

A lot of snack foods derive from repulsive ancient medicines, like cola, ginger, chocolate, coffee, etc.

Now, if you want gross viking food, the Scandinavian community here in Washington state likes to soak fish in sodium hydroxide until it almost turns to soap. I'm not making that up.

  • @Teeg32 Sounds like you're describing Lutfisk. Yumme!

  • haha giantbomb crew is the wins..

  • Quick comment, you missed the fact there was already a remake of Bionic Commando (Which would be Bionic Commando 2), so Bionic Commando 3 would be a better name for it.

  • HAHA XD thats not sugar that's salt!

  • it's not salt either, it's called "salmiak" in swedish, and you use it to get the salt taste for candy, but ofc it's not real salt ;)

  • @pervertedanime352

I was about to write the same thing, that line cracks me up.
