I have a few 17+foot Reticulated Pythons but I know of only a handful of Anacondas over 15 feet ( i am including very old female greens that reside at zoos). In other words whatever kind of studying you did starting at age 8 did not make more knowledgeable than Anaconda owners that have been keeping and studying Greens longer than you have been alive...

I've seen a lot of anacondas grow to around 20 ft in length, especially in the wild, and retics even more than that...30 ft though nah. Not unless it has a plentiful food source and doesnt get disturbed at all in the wild

Do I agree with power feeding? No, but he had it. Captive bred ones usually reach 15-16 ft, yes, but I was speaking more in regards to wild anacondas.

When did he start breeding Anacondas, how old was the 19 foot female, do you have any pictures of the snake, who is the breeder? A 19 foot Conda is unheard of in private collections so if you have proof of an animal that size I would be a very interested buyer.

Well done for keeping an anaconda tame. I've dealt with loads of these, and I've only ever had one (6ft female) that was tame. Even then, she was still a little unpredictable. We have a 10ft female in the shop, and she is nasty as hell.
Man I just have to say that is awesome. Ive seen some that just don't have the right markings...this snake is just plain beautiful. Perfect colors and markings. Was wondering if the colors are still this vibrant? And she grew 2 more feet so is she about 9 foot or so? Ive stuck with smaller boas for awhile now...don't have the room yet. My rosy boa never really tamed even with daily handling...she has gotten better...but still a biter. Was wondering the dimensions of the enclosure?

@Depro900 Look for a Homalopsis buccata, or puff-faced water snake. Search on here and you can find a few videos of appropriate setups. They are highly aquatic snakes, although mildly venomous

@shukaku Im sorry but the facts you posted are purely false. The largest anaconda on record was just over 24 feet and around 450-500 pounds, that was the largest out of all the the 100,000 thousands of green anacondas that have been captured. On average a green anaconda female in captivity will reach 14-16 and weigh 125-200 pounds. Still a large animal but much more manageable than a 25 foot 600 pound animal.
@CemetaryGatesML Sounds like you live in Canada? I often hear people quote 7 foot max for legally keeping snakes in Canada. In the U.S. what a person can keep depends on where they live. The way I look at it "if any idiot with 500 bucks and a license that only took 8 hours to get can keep a firearm, than someone's pet snake is the least of your worries".

He is very young when this was recorded wasn't he. I remember seeing my friends anaconda much larger. It weighed over 176 pounds when it died.

i love how much dumbasses comment here and dont know what they are talking about,the biggest anaconda i have is a 15 ft female who is 5.5 years old.a 20 ft anaconda is like a 12 year old being 6 feet tall,possible yes,likely hell no.i also have 8 reticulated pythons and the biggest one is a 21 ft female super tiger who is 6 years old.and that is a big one too.educate yourself people!

Snakes do not become "tame" with handling, they become tolerant.
Snakes of this size specifically are chill because they're big motherfuckers and don't have many predators to speak of.
That said, your anaconda is just gorgeous. her colors are stunning.

@Depro900 Look for a Homalopsis buccata, or puff-faced water snake. Search on here and you can find a few videos of appropriate setups. They are highly aquatic snakes, although mildly venomous

@shukaku Im sorry but the facts you posted are purely false. The largest anaconda on record was just over 24 feet and around 450-500 pounds, that was the largest out of all the the 100,000 thousands of green anacondas that have been captured. On average a green anaconda female in captivity will reach 14-16 and weigh 125-200 pounds. Still a large animal but much more manageable than a 25 foot 600 pound animal.

@CemetaryGatesML Sounds like you live in Canada? I often hear people quote 7 foot max for legally keeping snakes in Canada. In the U.S. what a person can keep depends on where they live. The way I look at it "if any idiot with 500 bucks and a license that only took 8 hours to get can keep a firearm, than someone's pet snake is the least of your worries".

@tigertic1 im sorry your wrong the largest anaconda on record was 39ft long go check it out. depending on their diet and habitat will determine that specific anacondas maximum size however dont think you have a nice little tame anaconda there it will grow to at least 15ft.
