@blondiencollege some of it was too much. especillay harvey.. he was supposed to crack a little at the higher notes but not sing the whole phrase off key. same with the other girls. it's supposed to sound slightly annoying not so terrible that the audience has to actually ask themselves if that's the way it's supposed to be. My school is doing the play now and our director emphasized this for us throughout our rehearsals.

I just did this for the Corry Community Theatre in Corry, PA last summer. I played Harvey Johnson. I kind of like playing the geeks. I thought I would just exaggerate who I am. Instead I just turned into the stereotypical geek.

I liked this version even if it was on the fast side. The vocal ensemble at the community college I attend did this at our concerts in March and had a blast with it. It's meant to be a little squeaky and slightly off key.

i understand that, im actuallly playing that part, but its not supposed to sound awkward yet realistic, noone sings/ talks that bad on purpose. its pretty ridiculous. i try to make my voice crack (more difficult than you might think) but hit the low notes and make the high ones off to make it partly unexpected. any other opinions?
