  • Hello Josebin...i enjoyed watching this video very entertaining,.....i live in Madeira Island belongs to the mainland Portugal when do you come here to make a travel report?.......i'd like to have you as my friend in facebook....do you guess it is possible?...my travel favorite destinations are Rome , Prague, Venice and Paris. This year maybe i will go to Warszawa Brussels London and Paris........see you soon=)

  • Good job, guys! Going to Lisboa for a week, looking forward to seeing all the sights and trying Tram 28!

  • azores s.miguel try you'll love...

  • some of the music is not portuguese is spanish :s too bad. The girl is also having some trouble with the words but she's trying to do her best

  • it's LISBOA, not leesboya...-.-

  • OMG and ive been on that railway! just had to add that in!! hehe

  • i miss portugal, i havent been there in awhile...i used to go every summer :\ the beaches in algarve are my favorite

  • Hey, thanks for watching :) Portugal was so beautiful. I really liked my trip there. Are you a fan of Pilot Guides?

  • yes :) and an even bigger fan of travel<3

  • If Cynthia was the host I would definitely watch. She's gorgeous!

  • lol... "leesboya"

  • For some reason I never made it to Portugal. From your video I will not make that mistake again. I have been a professional film maker for many years so when I tell you your film are very well done I am speaking with some experience. Keep up the good work.

  • when we were kids we used to ride on the 28 for free (I lived by the castle), we used to hang on the outside :)

one day a cop got us, he was cool though and just let us off

  • Nicely done. From time to time I have the idea of making a showreel for Globe Trekker myself (now it's the time again), but never go and try. I just did a kind of parody for an info-party (watchable at "my" youtube).

I like yours, it's nice as I said, I only wish a bit of "humour". Those funny moments you show in the credits, if you work on them a little, you may come up with something to add to the final version.

If you come back to Portugal, try going north to Galicia, Spain ;-)

  • I wish Cynthia would get hired on, she's very easy on the eyes

  • Cynthia, great video - well done. have you heard anything from "pilot guides" yet??

  • Actually I'm from Portugal and I'm pleased for watching this video. Everything you said about Portugal is true and it was very entrertaining :-)

I read something on your other video (Quebec city) about living in Canada. So.. you came here in 2008, and on that exactly same year i went to Canada! (Montreal, quebec city, baie-saint-paul and tadoussac)

I love Globe Trekker and I wish you the best of luck to hear from them! Keep it up!

  • Wow, that's so cool! Thanks for sharing! What did you think of Canada? Portugal is a beautiful country! Can't wait to go back!

  • Away from the big cities I think that Canada is very peaceful, and is an amazing country with so much to offer. I went to Canada for the first time in '97 (New Brunswick) and I found it very pleasing!

I wish I live there sometime, ehe.

Yes, you should come once more for a second version!

  • Sounds like a great trip! Canada is a beautiful country and it's so different from one end to the other. I'm glad you got to see lots of it, that's awesome!

  • where is Cynthia's Pilot Guides (Globe Trekker) Showreel - LA ????

  • Unfortunately, I had to remove it from Youtube.

  • Por que han puesto el concierto de Aranjuez?

  • Sorry, can you translate to english or french? Thank you for watching.

  • Cynthia! I loved it!! Great work :-)

  • Hey Tricia! Thanks for taking a look at it! It's great to hear that other Pilot Guides fans like my videos. :) Good luck with your future videos too, I wish you the best!

  • Yay Cynthia! I really enjoyed that. I hope you drank a whole lot of that port, I could go for some right now. Looking forward to the next one!

  • Thanks excellentallie! Yes, the port was very tasty!!! mmm.. Have a great holiday season!!

  • That was very good Cynthia... nice work!

  • Thanks Brad for checking it out!! You should check out the outtakes too. They are pretty funny :)

  • Maybe you should do a showreel of Belleville? :)

  • I know I already commented about this video in the forum but I felt like watching it again so I'll make a comment here to :o)

It's sooo good. You're truly a really great presenter and you did a great job with the video. Were you traveling with just one more person? (the person filming)

  • Thanks Sonja! You always put a smile on my face :) I was travelling with 3 friends of mine but only one of them helped me with the filming (usually the other two were off somewhere else at the time - I did not want to hold them back if they wanted to do something different).

  • Howdy! great video...I loved it! It felt like i was watching an episode of Globtrekker :) Portugal looks amazing! Ever think about making a website and/or travel blog of all your travels?

  • Hey TrekkMonkey, so happy you like the video!! Portugal is amazing and I think often unrated by many. Also, I started making a travel blog a couple years ago but I haven't written anything for quite a while now unfortunately. You can find it at chosebin(dot)blogspot(dot)com I'll start writing in it again soon, I hope.

  • Great guide =D

i actually live in portugal =P

  • Wow, lucasaraujo5, thanks a huge compliment, thanks!

  • Hi!, a very good video about Lisboa, but... when you say Lisboa it sounds like "Lisboea" at the begining of the video. The sound of "e" for you is "i" for us in Portugal. :)))

  • wooops, sorry about that. I only know a few Portuguese words and I'm definately not sure if I pronounce them right. hehe.. Thanks for the heads up. :)

  • hi! no problem, continue the good work, I look foward to see your next video!!! :)

  • Hey, the video is very nice, but the name of the city is being spelled "LisbOia"... and the correct is Lisboa.

  • Hi, thanks for watching the video. The name is spelled "Lisboa" in the video.

  • Well done Cynthia! Excellent as ever!

  • Thanks Christoswinter!! I'm happy you like it!! Thanks for watching. :)

  • WOW! I once again feel like I'm back in my 9th grade geography class watching Justine Shapiro...very nicely done!!! :) -Amanda

  • Awesome, that comment put a huge smile on my face sportswebelong! :)

  • Hey, I wanted to add, if you ever want to do a Pilot Guide of Charlottetown... I can provide a base of operations. :)

  • martincathrae, what a great idea! Charlottetown is beautiful and a Pilot Guide of the city would be so cool! I'm not sure when I'll be down in PEI but I'll keep it in mind for sure :)

  • Your videos are really great! Have you sent them in? Did you get any feedback?

  • Thanks Beautyfoul for your wonderful comments! I did not send the Portugal video yet as I just finished this one. My previous videos have been posted on the Pilot Guides website so I've receive some good comments from other fans of the show however I have not recieved any feedback from Ian Cross himself, but that's ok, I'm going to keep trying!! Megan McCormick told me to keep pestering him! hehe.. :) Take care and thanks for watching!

  • Very well done again Cynthia! The producing was excellent this time. I am surprised Pilot Guides has not taken notice of your hosting ability. Thanks for sharing your travel adventures and go easy on the wine next time, lol. Kind regards, from Chicago.

  • Thanks oreyes45 for your support :) It's always a pleasure to hear that someone really likes the video. :) I'll go easy on the wine next time, hehe (I rarely drink so that was partially why I was making some faces (unintentionally) when I was sampling the wine). I wasn't used to a strong drink. :)

  • Hey, thanks for favouriting my video! That's awesome!!

  • very enjoyable, I definitely want to get there to try some of that port!

  • Yes, the port was quite tasty. I sampled quite a few when I was there. I also brought some back with me too :) Thanks for watching the video martin, hope to see ya soon!

  • Also, thanks for favouriting my video! :)

  • Another fantastic production! I would have thought I was watching the actual show. Well done! :)

  • Hey justinleputain!! How are you? Thanks for watching my video!! I'm happy you liked it!!! Have you been working on any of your own videos?? I would love to see them! Take care and hope to see you soon!

  • I just would like to say that You Rock Girl!!! Great Video! Editing = 10! I wanted to hear you talking more words in Portuguese but "Olá" was good (heheh). Você é Demais!

  • Thanks Tetrekker!! I carried my Portuguese Phase book with me everywhere we went and I tried to speak portuguese with some of the locals when I could but we didn't always get that on tape. For most cases, the extent of what I said were the words "Ola", "Por Favor", "Obrigado", "Desculpe", "Quanto e?", "Tchau! and "Bom Dia". :) I sat beside a very nice Portuguese woman on the flight over to Portugal and I picked her brain on many Portuguese expressions. I got my own little private lesson!

  • By the way, você está fantástico também!!

  • Great! this is a nice portuguese´s cultural incoming. Good job and good luck... PILOT GUIDES, WAKE UP!! CyNTHiA RULES!!!

  • Hey thanks felixpdg! I'm happy you like it! :) Thanks for your support!!

  • Je bent en heel mooie meisje.

    <3

  • HetHardenaarZwolle, I had to use Google to help translate your commnent from Dutch to English :) Thank you so much, that's a very sweet thing to say :) Bedankt! U bent heel lief!

  • Nice video. Good choice of music. Is the suitcase @7:33 full of port ?

  • Thanks Krokanthropos! haha, funny you should mention the suitcase. I bought so much port for my family that my suitcase weighed a ton! I usually buy local pottery when I travel too and that isn't very light either! hehe, ah well, it's all worth it in the end :) Thanks for watching and commenting!!

  • GLOBETREKKER...are you watching?! You need to hire this young talent!!! Once again, great job Cynthia!:)

  • sanjuro66, thanks for watching and thank you for your continuous support!!

  • You were there for a week and you made a reel? How unreal! lol. Good job. It looks good! Looking forward to see the one from Ottawa (hint hint :) )

  • hehe, thanks Hyperblaze! Good joke, I laughed (but it is late), hehehe.. The Ottawa reel is in the works but probably won't be finished until I get more footage. I'd really like to get some of the Canada Day festivities in the video too. Thanks for commenting!

:) A bientôt!

  • Nice job Cynthia! I love Lisbon. Nice editing, and I like the music. Your descriptions are great! Did you get a pastry in Bellem? There is a place where the recipe is kept a secret and there is a hand scan to enter the kitchen. Great Reel!

  • Thanks NewYorkRenee!! I didn't get a pastry, no, I wish I knew about the secret receipe though! That would have been so cool! Thanks for the tips about the reel and again thanks for checking out my video! It means a lot to me :) Take care and talk to you soon!

  • i love the plaza at the begginig of the video, the people looks very gentile, lisboa must be a great place to visit, thanks chyntia, thanks for showing the world is not only about "world financial crisis" or war, the world is beautiful places like lisboa too , something bring me tears to my eyes, at 9:07 a song start, oh! i love this song, thanks chyntia keep the excellent work comming.

    See ya

  • Thanks so much sergio007x for your comment. I think the world is a beautiful place too - it shouldn't be thought of as such a scary place. I personally feel like I grow so much as an individual each time I travel - the more I talk to people and the more I learn about different cultures makes me appreciate life so much more. So I think travelling really helps open your eyes to the rest of the world and it's beautiful! Thanks again!

  • noooo you eat too much delicious foods in the pilot guide ;). I also want...... This is an awesome video of Lisbon. But I wish I was in your video ;)....Good luck

  • The food was delicious... yummy!! Thanks for your comment, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video of Lisbon! Hey, if I ever make a video of Sweden, I'll let you know :) Thanks for the good luck and have a great weekend!!

  • This is a great piece, Cyn! I really think it's the most Pilot Guides-esque showreel you've put together. Very nice flow and spontaneity.

How was the water at the end? Makes me wish I was there...

  • Thanks Loomis1079! I'd glad you liked it and found it to be the most "Pilot Guides-esque". hehe. That's awesome. I had a really great time making this video. It seemed to all fall into place quite easily near the end. It was great fun to talk to the locals, eat portuguese food and drink some port. mmm.. By the way, the water was soooo nice and warm! It was the perfect way to finish my trip! Thanks so much for commenting!! Take care!!

  • Totally amazing!!! Love it!!! :)))

  • Thanks pilotguides!!! :) You've made my day!!!
