  • You should also check out Almost Still Life 02 & 03. Both have a similar treatment of the natural/environmental sound sources. 03 is much more heavily processed - makes it sound like there is a spoken part mixed - but there actually is no voice part present until the very end. - Ken

  • Ah - Brian was in the class I visited yesterday. I'm glad he sent it along. I agree re: the organic drone. By isolating particular frequency bands from the field recording its pretty amazing what is revealed - same with the video. My current plans include further exploration of these types of images/sondtracks but with much greater length (hours...etc.). Thanks for your comment! - Ken

  • My friend Brian from Hartt sent me the link to this video. It's very good, I would definitely see myself listening to this piece on my iPod. I like the idea of having a more "organically" created drone from nature tones (as opposed to a Tangerine Dream piece for example, which is a drone using straight synth pads).
