33PETTY: Animals shouldn't be shocked for entertainment. It would take a lot more then horn wraps to protect the victims of steer busting. Animals shouldn't be treated so brutally that they need a vet standing by, and very often these animals can't be treated. Steer busting is an absolute disgrace.
Actually, everything that u said was ok is very cruel! And steer roping is one of the worst events because the steer used are often hurt. Some are knocked unconcious, some legs are broken..., etc. And what do the people do? They just take them away, and usually dont even give them a small chance. I saw a video tape of an event at the rodeo where a horse was severely injured and just left to die in the middle of the arena!! I support shark 100%!!

I have been apart of the rodeo ever since I was young and there has never once been abuse of those animals. I have been apart of the rodeo ever since I was young and there has never once been abuse of those animals. So listen the cattle have two choices they 1. are sent down the street where they are slaughtered (we kill 12,000 a day bud) OR they live a full life and are roped off of and aren't even hurt in any event. I also grew up in dodge city, ks. Obviously, you don't know anything about Dodge City. Secondly, you must love manipulating this to make it look the way you want it too. HAve you ever been to a rodeo?!?!?! Have you seen how many peopletake pictures and video of it? Go to a rodeo and show everyone how it really is. Do you know why they didnt want people recording? BECAUSE IT WAS DURING PRACTICE. Do realize people pay to watch the rodeo???? PAH-LEASE!!!

gentryjenae: SHARK investigators were at Dodge City Rodeo performances in 2008, and Dr. Trotter was of course there also. Trotter is a legend in his own mind. We watched him confront a youngish fellow (not on of us) with a still camera. Apparently Trotter thought he might be us. The guy wasn't. Meanwhile, we filmed a horse that got shocked on Trotter's watch. The Dodge City Rodeo is a dirty rodeo, and Trotter is a disgusting excuse for a doctor. Neither put Dodge City in a positive light.

I live in Dodge City...and this crap is dumb. Really we love our animals here is Dodge City. This crap was never happend. And leave Trotter alone. what I HAVE SEEN at the rodeos, if the horse dont buck, they get a new horse.. the rider has a choice of getting a re-ride... i think we all know that americans are fucked and thats why you see soooo many of these vids in AMERICA! i have been raised around rodeos (in canada) and i have never seen animals get abused by shockers or anything like that..

I grew up in Dodge.....I have never seen this crap EVER! I have been right next to the horses as they go out and have never seen any of this happen. TLcavvy: I also have been shocked numerous times. It hurts, and for longer than ten seconds. Perhaps about as long as if a person was slapped across the face, and that is considered an act of assault against a human, and cruelty against animals.
On the second issue, using a camera in a place that says "no cameras" is not illegal. It would be a civil matter, meaning that the person technically could be sued, but only if there were damages, and that wouldn't include being exposed for cruelty.

We rank second in the nation for rodeo if you have a problem take it up with someone who cares becasue you won't find someone in dodge that will see your point of view.

SHARK is confident that the few dollars we spend on the rodeo is offset by the thousands of people who will see this videotape and the cruelty of this rodeo. Look at the larger picture and you will see that we are not supporting the rodeo in the end.

ok here is the first thing im going to say about this video. i grew up in that area and they dont shock the animals for fun. that is just plain retarded. and second of all they dont bully the stores like walmart into helping the event they do it because the rodeo brings in people and it helps all the businesses. if the rodeo doesnt put on a good show then it will end up hurting the business's in town.
