Going further, refusing to participate in a hazing incident isn't grounds for knocking out three of his teeth. In fact, that shows a great deal of courage for a teen to refuse peer pressure.

Junior hockey teams everywhere do it, and 99% of the time rookies know about it going into the season and they man-up and pay their dues. i remember this story... aliu came to the team to play, and refused to be a part of a hazing ritual (something about stripping naked and doign somethign humiliating)

Downie knocked out Alliu's teeth earlier this practice with a cross check because Alliu didnt want to do the hazing Downie pretty much ordered him to do. So after Alliu took out the broken shards of teeth out of his mouth, he came back onto the ice and this happened.... I'm glad this happened because the Hawks got an elite talent in Aliu in the 2nd round.
It was this incident that made Aliu a 2nd round pick. He was projected as a top 10 overall pick but this little fight with Downie made clubs second guess Aliu.
The Hawks will take him.
Aliu is going to be one of those 50-60 point scorers that will rack up 200 PIM a season.
Solid 2nd line player with the skills to be a 1st line power forward.
